  • Muay thai style is very powerful especially by Tony Jaa look him up I think his muay thai is better than the way MMA UFC boxer muay thai... but also he does mixes of TKD Capu however you spell it wing tsun and a bunch others...

  • for all the wc/jkd fighter's, what do you think about learning the praying-mantis-fist along with the wc/jkd styles, i think nobody can ever touch you.. what do you think about that, please let me know if this is a vacious styles?

  • @accurateWCapproach so first, there is no jkdstyle, cause jkd(if u mean jeet kune do) means using no way as a way,,using no style as a style.punch when u need to punch, kick when u have to kick. use only these things, that work for you.and only for you. its a fighting philosophy, no fighting style ;-) so mma e.g. would be (from the fighting point of view ) jeet kune do. maybe i should also say that jkd mean: way of the intercepting fist, means it roots lay in wing tsun.find your own way

  • @accurateWCapproach , its the only one that works. and then develop some inner strenght, that will make you fully complete ;-) good luck mate

  • Kill Whitey. With a fok sau to the throat the next time he tries his weak-ass lop sau.

  • @1647695 what?

  • i thought the basic blocks are five,pak sao,larp sao,tan sao,bill sao,bong sao.the wu sao isn't for protecting the center line??

  • @Alien0one My sifu said even the offensive can be use as a defensive

  • good shit

though basic blocks are the same with variations of hand position

some of those can be called parrying in boxing

ill be looking through more than you sir

  • thanx! nice sharing , em gou shai , dai lou!

  • 2:09 yeah i remember everything...

  • his parcsal is way to far to the elbow he could back fist him

  • The attacker really needs to be a long striker to punch from that distance- none of tose punches would even connect if he hadn't defending--seriously, which street fighter or boxer would fight you from that distance??

  • Hitting from that big distance, they make shame of WTS :P

  • @fagio1989 right, normaly u when u do pak sau from outside to inside u put pressure to the center line

  • @TheIpmanFan I think when you do any WT technique you always put pressure on the center line always moving forward, sorry didnt meant to be critical.

  • @spacejack9000 im just saying ^-^

  • You should not push away the arm... Imo Is a mistake...

When You push away my arm from the outside to inside, it becomes an elbow strike...

Other way, inside to outside, I feel the pressure and I change my move...

  • @fagio1989 That's the thing, that if you pak sau correctly, it won't be an elbow strike. In this video he didn't show it exactly correctly but basically when he slaps your arm away, his arm is suppose to hit your elbow. This allows him to attack you without you being able to bend your elbow.

  • thank you. good vid

  • you don't need to learn different Martial Arts........as the old ones say, learn to improvise.....the common tactic is use the enemy's advantage and turn it into weakness, lets say Wing Chun practitioner vs Kickboxer, the common thing to do is strike the weakspots the leg and foot then you have upper advantage in hand fighting.

  • @luftwaffe789456123 i agree to a point. I do both kickboxing and wing chun and I can honestly say that they are both made from improvising. If you cant master the basics (improvising in reflex) then you sort of have a limited chance of success. Thats exactly what Martial Arts are based on..improv

  • Nice one, thanks.

  • This all seems a bit to complicated considering it's blocking a jab.

Surely the best and most simple defence would be a straight punch, or Pak sau. I don't quite understand why you would steer people in the direction of using a tan, or bong for a jab.

    To eaches own i guess.!

  • as soon as i saw a white guy teaching in this video, it has lost all credibility

  • ahahaha you guys funny... bruce lee just combine the best attack / defense from other styles. before that you need to master 1. ahehehe just respect the different views of people... like yip man said.

  • @trixrodson11 yip man is just a god

  • Ok i talked some smack about this video awhile ago. To whoever it was, the reason i know this guy is total BS is because I AM a wing tsun instructor. And if you know what to look for you can tell if someone is bs. Hey im not saying its not good to learn something new, but in training in martial arts for 18 years, i've seen many things, and this is not effective wing tsun.

  • @GUFF21 just stop talking. hes pretty good.

  • @Andreechan If you think he's pretty good you deserve to get lied to... Go out and research some other WC/VT/WT people, you will see the bullshit if you find a good instructor.

  • bets sua on strike points in arm .good master tech you in tranning .no problem on eamr goen then next arm tow bloakcs karate ofr ju jituzu man armless or st korena thinking man bruce less

    got it

  • Would you really use wu sau on the inside?

  • how do you deal with a hook or an uppercut?

  • @porpoisefathom

These are only deflections to a straight attack not complete blocking package dear you can learrn blocking hooks and upercuts in some other lesson

  • @porpoisefathom an inside block is just about the same as blocking a hook. as for the uppercut you would pak sau just below the bicep whilst turning your body.

  • @EmoceanUK I strongly agreed with you

  • VERY VERY USEFULL!

  • any way this guy is like actor of neo in matrix!!!

    he is like keanu reeves

  • Hmm he's kinda cute

  • his wing tsun looks very diffrent with compare to my wing chun :S

  • i was inspired by ip man

  • Comment removed

  • This guy is a choke artist.... His wing chun is so watered down. Its said. Im a WT pratitioner, but im not like WT is the BEST... its just the best for me, but this guy is terrible, and bebo3ful you are correct this video should not be named Wing Tsun, because its a registered trademark, and this jackass is making ALL wing chun/tsun/tzun people look like idiots!

  • @GUFF21 Do you mind telling us the name of someone who knows wing chun nad can kick some butt. Someone in the USA? Hawkings Cheung he trianed under Yip Man Himself? Or Bryan Talbot he trained under Sam Kwok? Francis Fong? anyone you know that teachers proper wing chun. In NY there's a guy who's school is called applied wing chun he supposidly studied under yip man but he also makes his students do alot of physical conditioning.

  • @Mider999 In new york you only want to go to one guy that I know of... Sifu Alex Richter, he trained at langzell castle (langzell germany) under Renowned Wing Tsun master Kieth R. Kernshpecht. He has a school called "City Wing Tsun", he has a couple of cheesy video's up. Matter of fact i was talking with sifu alex the other day, and he is always ready for new and motivated students. Check him out!

  • @GUFF21

Correct. Please note that what this guy does is not Leung Ting Wing Tsun.

  • @GUFF21 What about what he's doing is wrong? Like...I mea how can you tell he's a fake or is bad at WT?

  • thank you you ere a good teach llove ya

  • haha, I could never take someone seriously if he was wearing a costume like that.

  • then you ll get your ass kicked by that guy before you say costume... -.-

  • haha probably, but I would heal. And he would still look like a douche

  • Todd knows his shit, but that doesn't change the fact that he's an asshole. He has driven most of his good students away.... However I wouldn't recommend trying to fight him on the street because he will most likely go straight for your eyes and throat. He a is a bad ass even though he's an asshole.

Oh, and Fedor would probably just submit him.

Fedor is the baddest man on the planet!

  • @morgankicksass Todd is no fighter and his WC is substandard.I have dealt with him personally he can`t fight. he`s a fake

  • please excuse my judgement but their 'chun li' uniforms looks a bit gay. if i saw him on the street i would fight him but that doesnt mean i wouldnt laugh at him.

  • there is no blocking in wing chun only COUNTERS!

  • @iLoveOrangutans Block and immediatly a caunter attack! ;)

  • @porparqsnik what is a caunter attack?

  • @hooventoot I wanted to say counter-attack :)

  • @iLoveOrangutans seriously this video should not be named Wing Tsun, its loosely wing chun at best.....

  • I'd like to see this guy try and ''bong-sau'' or ''wu-sau'' one of Fedor Emelianenko's punches.

  • @Dungarth haha yea i like to see that also, Fedor hooks his punches violently so the best thing to do is duck or get the hell outta the way.

  • this aint wing tsun ..

we dont block this is a farse.

you are way to hard, wing tsun is all about feeling and reacting to things. and you may start with putting your centerline to your advesary..

if you want to see some real wt check kernspecht. or other EUROPEAN masters

  • I thought this guy was Wladimir Klitschko for a minute

  • lol

  • im currently learning silat cos im living in m'sia...i oso like kung fu..it looks so good the techniques...my techniques derived from wing chun....silat..and muay thai

  • Its not blocking its deflecting

theres a difference blocking is to absorb the incomming force deflecting is to knock the technique into a different direction away from you

  • what do all these comments mean wing chun doesn't block? Wtf, then what's it's defense?

  • Pak-Sao is an open hand block yes, but the rest is normaly in motion - bong tan etc. work like wedges and don't crash straight against the incomming force. If you use them as block they won't protect. WT technics standalone without the 8 principles do not work.

  • 2.00 He's simply making the attacker hit him...

  • Well i'm a Leung TIng Wing Tsun student and Wing Tsun TM is a trademark. He should remove this from the internet, because its trash wing chun anyways...

  • wing tsun doesnt block...this guy should be removed.

  • what lies in the name, block or parry doesn't make any difference.

Empty your mind... If someone is in a frame how will he learn?

  • While I agree with your statement, from a teaching perspective saying its a block to a level 1 student will lead him/her to believe all these moves are blocks, which they are not, this could lead the student into strife later on in their training.

  • @bebo3ful

I m sorry, if I hurt you with my words... as far as I know, even the very basic of wing tsun have a block first and then divert it. You know bruce lee had borrowed most of his hand techniques from yip man's wing tsun. his parry was more or less a lap sao. what lap sao is -- a deflection and a trap. Deflection part is very similar with a block... but with very less energy. Is not it?

  • A block is any impediment to an opponents movement, so yes, WT does block.

  • hello wing chun is created from a girl centurys ago, and the main style is blocking and last attacking

  • it isn't because blocking implies that you have to give more forward pressure than the opponent is giving you. Against a stronger oppenent (as a women for example) this wouldn't work as strength can overcome a block. It actually "absorbs" the attack up to a certain point (taking the bong sau for example) at which point your hips should turn and deflect the attack maintaining correct bong sau position from the second form.

  • Dynamite job. Great video. Thank you!

  • holy crap his pinkie lol!!

  • that was sarcastic btw for all you who are thick as mud

  • 1:33, look at his super fucked up pinkie, probly from his mastery of technique

  • lol..... how the hell did you notice that???.....lol

  • lol, must be my kung fu attention to detail

  • This is a very sloppy style of LA white boy wing chun. Your wu sao is really mon sao, (seeking hand) and you should talk about the structure and position. otherwise your blocks wont work. cant defect or wedge if your setup is all wrong.

  • I can't believe I was about to join this school, I'm glad I never did!

  • If you would please provide videos of more accurate wing tsun techniques, please do.

  • crap!

  • i have a black belt in wing chung and i would like to relearn the silom touw on wheels i have most of the first 1/3 but i dont think i have it right o and i trian at dragon family in indep i quit 2 yrs ago win i could not ceep up at school and never retuned but i still was thare longer than the sefu i was the segon and the sinpie lol

  • I want to know who your Sifu is, and what your lineage is as well.

  • Who is your Sifu and what is your lineage? If you don't mind.

  • nice video

  • safe for dat, i got couple japenese boys that wanna fight with me, dese blocks will come in handy

  • fighting in some senses is freedom in expressing yourself as bruce lee mentioned many times, but he didnt say expressing yourself is the best method. Dont just go for random moves and expect to gain ability over a dangerous situation. Learn,Listen&Love thankyou

  • THANKS for video i knew the blocks but not the applications

  • This is wing Chun not wing tsun even the guy said so, he says Wing chun at 5:00

  • Hey zianclone234500,

It's pronounced Wing CHun but it's spelt Wing Tsun

  • could anybody please confirm that this is just some sort of joke that has gotten out of hand & "expert" Todd doesn't really think that what he does has anything to do with WT and by doing so ending my fear of s.o. thinking I'm a clown like he is cause the name(s) he uses sound like those I use?

does he explain any of his brilliant style's concepts anywhere?

  • ....no fook soa...why not? its i not??

  • hey every one! i have thought of an combination of muay thai, for power and knock out moves and so on. taekwondo for more specialized kicks and more flexibility. wing tsun for block, respond and all in all great close combat skills. and jiu-jitsu for floor-fights, specialized joint-lock and throws. that is the combo i am trying to learn now, and after im finished i want to try out ninjutsu(not the naruto totally overkill thing). any one who can come up with an idea of more?

  • Probably Judo for take downs.

  • You're going overboard. There'll be conflicting principles, too many methodologies and principles which one simply cannot combine. Bruce Lee was special. Don't try it.

  • its not about principles or methods. use whats usefull reject what is useless. its all about what works for the individual. learning the different techniques and their stregnths and weaknesses is exactly what Bruce Lee did. yes he was pretty much a super human in terms of genetics and conditioning. but anyone can LEARN whatever they need to. leave out the principles and methodologies and learn/train for what will let you express yourself.

  • Drunken Boxing is good for flexibility

  • hes an idiot u can combine ALL moves once you learn the casic kick and puch of martial arts

  • WTF?! the pan sao is totally WRONG!!

Don't push the opponents arm out, the way your arm has to travel to go back to his face will be longer if you stay in the middle-line.

  • nice costumes :) silk maybe?

  • if u really train matial art u would speak about it with a lil more respect in it bomburk

  • Comment removed

  • Im training wing chun, or what ever ppl call it its all the same, there is 3 diffrent styles all combined with eachother. After a month with seriusly training you can really feel a diffrense in real street fights! for sure...

  • no you arent training wing chun

  • Bomburk by 3 styles do you mean the 3 forms Siu Nim Tao, Chum Kiu and Biu Tze ?

  • no he means ving tsun, wing tsun, wing chun...

  • Every Martial Art has advantages and disadvantages this was bruce lees point if u stick to only noing wing chun (Tsun) you will be weak against other styles eg. a boxer will only use fists a kickboxer legs an fist you shud combine ur fighting arts to become an ultimate martial artist dont limit your tools to one form

  • Im just gonna ditto what you said you already put it well lol

  • You are very right. Wing Chun lacks a lot of kicking techniques which could really enhance your fighting form. My friend, who got me started into martial arts, always explained the importance of cross-traning. Wing Chun's effective close quarter combat system, Muay Thai explosive kicks, mixed with Kali stick fighting, and Hapkido's lock techniques.

It's hard, but comes very handy.

  • well said

  • @EmoceanUK Yeah he said no martial art is THE BEST but each martial art has a time and a place.

  • @Mider999 exactly

  • @EmoceanUK or u just buy a gun

  • @ZuperLame Could do but wing chun is not an attacking martial art its self defense, if somebody jumped you from behind would u have time to reach for your gun aim and pull the trigger, or would u just rather just block there attack and break there nose.

  • @EmoceanUK i would run home, get my gun. go back and shot him in the face

  • @EmoceanUK

well, most martial arts are kind of complete in itself

what actually matters is the distance to the "target"

wing tsun for example is very effective in a small distance but if your opponent does like..tae-kwon-do your just pretty fucked up^^ if hes already spinning a kick wing tsun cant do that much anymore, but what i wanna say with that is..you could learn more than one style but its actually the best to have a small distance and a high distance style, damned reply is too long^^

  • @moos14 Correct! For every situation is different approach.

Thats why we must not believe in styles. All have it goods and we must use what works personally.

  • @EmoceanUK ^_^

  • @EmoceanUK That's why Jeete Kune Do is the best to me because it's like MMA!

  • good,...but where is the mook jong training like in movie

  • bong sao on the inside = very dangerous

  • But like in the wooden dummy form, not the end of the world, transition into a tan sau or tan da...and you're fine..inside bong sao isn't a weakness or 'wrong' it just isn't fundamentally sound and the 'correct' way to do one, but mistakes happen and the form anticipates that and offers a solution..

  • thats fine - i can agree to that.

  • where is the footwork?

  • good video

  • Wing Tsun and Wing Chun or Tsjun Wing is all the same.

  • wing tsun is using external, wing chun is internal

  • i love wing tsun

  • These "expertvillage" videos are usually garbage, but I enjoyed this one. You guys actually have skill and made you points clearly.

  • Isn't this WingChun, not WingTsun?

  • I think this is Wing Chun, not Wing Tsun.

  • Theyre both the same thing, but WingTsun is a westernised way of spelling it.

  • WT is not a westernised way of spelling it, it's a distinction that marks a different lineage of WC Kung Fu. Similar in many ways to WC but very different in some.

  • somth. strange...

  • Nah. WT is just Leung Ting trying to distinct his "Wing Chun school" from the others. Hence the uniform their wearing is exactly the same was wat leung ting wears. The underlying concepts are the same simplicity and attacking the centreline. But with many things it deviates from tradition. Some would say its a revolution. I rather learn from Ip Chun, Yip Man's eldest son. The original!!

  • Best WC vids I've seen - thanks

  • Good stuff.. Make sure your elbows are in for the jum sao. jum sao is sinking elbow. Keep your elbow so you don't get railed hard.

Jum sao is a very good tool to use.

  • Thank you for this video!

    There are good explanations!

I am 14 years old and I started the wing tsun to hope for a day, have a great level!

  • Hehe, I'm 15 and I started wing cun (yes i spelled it right, it's chinese) about 2 months ago. I'm gonna work on this for a while... It's amazing, I got started because I watched a kung fu movie about it. (The Prodigal Son) The movie is on youtube, so you can watch it too.
