I am disappointed in RIM's effort to reach out to developers. They have lost this race when competing with the iTunes store. More specifically, RIM allows people to create Apps of the same name. I spend a lot of time and energy marketing my App. Now that an offshore company is using the same name as my App, they are getting free marketing AND my revenue has gone down.
Apple iTunes does not allow this; hence they encourage developers and are a success.
