ah' tom how i miss you so much ,it was you who inspired me to visit all the places i saw you visit if your looking doon from that great big mountain in the sky look oot for me and my grandson and his pal as we climb ben nevis next saturday ,cheers tom a true inspiration and thank you for all the pleasure you have given your fellow adventurers never forgotten .

It is wonderful to see this; I spent all my childhood holidays in Lochailort and still take the train from Glasgow to Mallaig but the trains are not like this now. Tom Weir has passion and he knows the area so well.
