  • Is that FPV? If not, how did you manage to see it at 1200 ft?

  • @bigtwit I've flown this plane to 2,500 ft AGL all line of sight. Guess i have pretty good peepers. When it's up that high, it truly is just a speck in the sky and i don't dare look away or I'll be sure to lose it.

  • Great vid man. Your plane here climbs better than a full size cessna 150 trying mountains at 9500ft. Loved the dive too, surprizing the wings stayed on. Where is this area? i see someone else asked also. Reminds me of Pacific Northwest.

    Thanks for posting

  • @bobrstrong1 Yes, she climbs well. I have measured the climb rate at 1300 fpm at sea level. This area IS in the Pacific Northwest! This is just outside the town of Anacortes WA on Campbell Lake. Thanks for the comment

  • You, sir, are an excellent flyer! :o

  • @HatokaRP Thank you very much for the kind words. Much appreciated.

  • Great vid m8, ive got same plane, what cam u using?? thnx

  • @PHATTSTER It's a great flyer isn't it? There is a link to this camera on my "Hawk Sky Max Altitude Flight" video to the cheapest seller I've been able to find. It's called an HDV007 camcorder. Not sure if its endorsed by James Bond though...

  • killer video man!! looks alot like the lake Varese in italy north of Milan where theres a "real" glider park and airport! i had narrowed my search for my first powered glider down to a few options...and you just totally SOLD me on the Hawk Sky...ordering tonight..thanx!

  • @chirojoseph Thanks for the comment, I'm sure you'll enjoy the hawk sky, although i must say the motor used in this video is not the stock motor. I bought a Grayson Hobby Microjet V3 motor for this plane. The stock one works fine but wont give you 1300 fpm climb rate like the Grayson Hobby motor.

  • Thanks for putting my fears to rest..…I'll get some altitude soon as the weather here in UK gets better.

  • Love the video, I have recently bought the Dynam Hawk Sky 4ch 2.4ghz but I,m always a bit concerned that I may go out of range. Do you know what the range is on my plane so I can put my mind at rest.

Keep posting the videos as I never tire of watching them.

    Thanks Steve

  • @stevepen50 2.4Ghz technology has come a long way in recent years. You should have no range issues with good batteries. Even with the old outdated 72Mhz system i use, my plane has flown to 2,500 ft, more than a half mile away and never lost control. Enjoy it, as it has been the best plane I've ever owned.

  • awsome .. you must have good eye sight

  • Hi, awesome video! :) I have a Hawk Sky as well, and I would like to mount a camera on it. What camera do you use? It´s a very good quality and it seems like the plane can handle it, easily.

  • awesome flight. Love the steep dive on the way back XD

  • I have used a 2.4ghz transmitter before with another plane, but this setup is still 72mhz. I have no interference issues as of yet, and all the range I need so I haven't the need to upgrade.

  • is the 2.4ghz upgrade worth it?

  • nice video will do one of my area. waiting on camera and my home made bomb drop failed will redo till it works. come check out my videos let me know what u all think and want too see. john

  • Awesome man.
