Socialized medicine is the joke. Taking away the right to choose is a serious matter. How dare the lib dems try to take away this right.

Skipping the fact (for the moment) that *none* of this has anything to do with "socialized" medicine (merely reforming how we pay for *private* medicine) how can you declare socialized medicine a "joke"?

Do find it funny that we pay close to *TWICE* as much for the exact same level of care they receive in Canada (which isn't even the best -- if you count countries such as France, we are paying *TWICE* as much for *HALF* the quality).

I just don't understand this demand for substandard service.

If everyone is so sure the American people do not want this, then what's wrong with allowing debate? The way I see it, the only reason the GOP would want to stop debate would be BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY ARE WRONG. Honest people have no reason to hide.
