  • Yours is better than the 700 dollar one

  • "..it may take 100 hundred flowers. Maybe this is why is costs $700."

    Haha

  • This is really cute. I think I will make a black one for myself. What fabric did you use for the lining? plain cotton I suppose?

  • @themadsnail Anything you want! But it does look like a plain cotton weave to me also.

  • SUPER CUTE!!!!LUV LUV LUV IT!

  • i do the same thing, except i use my brothers pockets. hahaha :P

  • this is really i will totally consider doing it.

  • Tomorrow if I get to go to a craft store to get my supplies, I'm coming back and making this ASAP. Your tutorials are really good, and show step by step making it look easy compared to what you could buy!

  • o my god tz is amazing...love it....im gona try....

  • Very cute, very informative, and most importantly very creative. What a great idea! I love it...

  • awesome! thanks for this tutorial. im going to try to make one for myself :]

  • Omg omg omg !!! Pretty

  • can you make a video on how to sew two things together? i really want to know how to make this but i cant sew. thankyou :]

  • Thanks alot for this, you've solved the "mystery" of putting in zips into cushions covers+bags without any raw edge seams,,yours look great.I think it would make a lovely cushion cover, especially using a few hand dyed fabrics for a natural look ,thanks +good luck,Sophie

  • your awesome!!! ima do this, i love to create my own things i actually make purses and i wear them a lot. but this one is so cute, really looking foward to try it out =))

  • Oh... My... God! This is a great idea! Thanks!

  • thank you soo much! I'm making one in blue for my birth day so I'lll have a cute small bag to use while me and my friends go out! ^^ you really helped me out! I LOVE YOU! :DDD

  • thanks so much! making a blue one for a wedding tomorrow :)

  • you have just saved $725 :D

  • 19 people dont have a sence of style!!!

  • Ughh. you think like me. there was this adorable wooden bead necklace at anthropologie, for 30 bucks. I made it for two. :D

  • Suggestion- if you open the zipper part you can have a clean seam when you sew it closed. Open the zipper & just flip it right side out like that.

Love the video, it definitely helped me out when I made my own. :)

  • can u use a normal sweing machine insted of a zipper footer ?

  • That is lovely. You have a wonderful charming way of demonstrating. Love your sense of humor. Thanks for the tutorial!!!

  • Question -I made one, and it's cute, but the zipper isn't quite right. At 3:09 on the video, it says to sew around leaving a hole at the bottom to turn it out. My question is, how are you supposed to sew over the zipper? I had pinched the zipper and stitched over it, but it's not laying right. I'm not really sure how to make it look right.

  • *FREAKIN EXCITED NOW!* I LOVED this tutorial, I can't wait to dig through my fabric scraps to make a million of these. Keep it up girl!

  • wow .....well done ...I am going to try it

  • Awesome !

  • that bag you made look better than the red one

  • that bag is sooo cute!

  • Nice job!!! Thanks for sharing.

  • This is so cute!!! It seems a bit complicated for me, maybe with a bit more practice I'll be able to make one!

  • that's extreme talent!

  • you are absolutely talented!!!! fabulous! i loved that little purse...

  • Now that is absolutley adorable and I need to make one!! I have to have one in every color!!! Making them yourself is so much cheeper than buying one of the same in every color!!! Awsome!!

  • So cute! Thanks for the tut!!

  • I keep coming back to this bag! I absolutely need to make one for myself. You know, it'd be easy to string a bead and sew the flowers instead of hot gluing... WHEE projects!

  • How about covering the bag with buttons of different colours :)....How many do you think i need?

  • @AkatsukiStalker111 I wouldnt call it cheap - She went throught all this to make it - why would the designer bag worth more than this girl's creativity? or yours or anyone's? :)

  • @florencelovme Well....it's all about havin' fun doing the bag :)

  • Adorable! I just threw out my glue gun this afternoon. I am going to go fish it out of the trash!

  • never thought of it.! =)

    thanks for the video

  • that is sew cool ;)

  • you helped me a lot, i have to sew a bag for school. this flower-thing is a cool idea.

  • i made my own flowery bag except that mines is multi colored :)thanks bionerd

  • instead of using a zipper, i just used a button! :)

  • woooooooooow this is so cool niceee love it

    i like ur stuff

  • I just finished my own flowery bag ^^ thank you really much for tutorial

  • @MidnightDestiny04 replace your underwear drawer with them LOL

  • thankx alot

  • @MidnightDestiny04 haha u'll have a drawer full of pretty bags..I am envious!

  • @MidnightDestiny04

JoAnn is a great place for finding cute fabrics :)

  • ah! she's so good. she teaches you slowly, step by step. very creative & pretty handmade bag.

  • Cute! not my style but thats okay

  • I love all your projects. So creative and fun and easy to follow.

  • Her voice is so f'n cute

  • wil you sell it in your shop ? it looks awesome! :)

  • are all the things gonna be this girlly???

i miss the old threadbanger :(

  • I'm so making this with a red base and black lace flowers...

  • too cute!!

  • You can also skip using a zipper foot if you use an invisible zipper. ^^ At least I haven't had a problem sewing zippers without the sipper foot is they are invisible. o.o

  • awesome :)

  • This purse bag looks great. It would be interesting to make one in kid leather too.

  • this is really great, totally useful b/c i just hate lugging huge bags around when all i need around is $20 and some gloss. (;

  • Thanks for tutorial! I made mine from what it used to be a jeans shirt, some blue sparkle fabric and white floral lace. I really love the way it came out.

  • i love this tutorial but the only thing i dont get is how to sew the zipper ):

  • amazing.

  • i have to take a shit but im holding it

  • When you used the satin to make flowers does it fray? How about the chiffon?

  • @TheMissyfiona both satin and chiffon fray badly i suggest using fray check and washing the fabric in cold water before using it...sorta reduces the fraynig.

slightly burning the edges with a lighter is also a quick DIY.then there is the option of using a zigzag stitch.

  • @sehrschon12 I'm sorry but what is a fray check?

  • @JenAyuni its kind off liquidish substance applied to edges of fraying fabric after cutting out the pattern.

  • @sehrschon12 cool! ty! But since this does take many flowers, and each flower takes many petals..at least 3...wouldn't it be really hard to paint it on around every single petal?

Wait, you do paint it on right? or squirt it? or drip it?

  • oooooooohhhhh*___*!!!!thanx!!!

  • i love the video, and i love secretlifeofabionerd :D i wanna do that soon! i support u..

  • i made a pink one!! i didnt spend a penny on mine. used old fabrics at home! so pretty!! thank you for the video!

  • 1 - Great tutorial & welcome, 2- thank you chineseathena for letting me know that the companies under new managemant, how many people total lost their jobs? I remember the behind the scenes episode. Horible to think that with the economy the way it is more people are losing their jobs. Was it alll 3-1 type cuts? 3- everyone needs to cut the negativity. Its not just on one side either. People use to be able to voice their opinions w/o getting hate in return! All kinds of sewing vids r ok right?

  • So cute! Your bag is much better. It's a really pretty color, too. Great job!

  • i know what i'm making for my sister's birthday :)

  • CUTE!!!!

  • I LOVE IT! And the color is so pretty! I'll definitely try it :)

  • @ggbadul1 dont be so racist! asian people is still human ok? michelle phan is helpin so many ppl to improve their in some where.. if u dont like it so dont watch it. it is just as simple as that! do not look down on Asians! duh~

  • I hope she won't do girly DIY like this all the time.

  • @eternityLALA Agreeed :)

  • mmm it's one thing to make something inspired by another, but blatantly copying is kinda eh... don't get me wrong, it's a cute bag, especially in yellow. Threadbanger's just not the same now.... :\ (and why recycle vids? suppose for the 1st ep it's okay, just hope not all of them are.)

granted, this did just teach me an easier way to get a zipper into a bag, and how to make little flowers, so I guess the change isn't all bad

  • @gg2badul1 what's wrong with them?

  • this girls seems really nice... but for some reason its like she forcing us to listen. with meg and everybody else it was like you can do this and you should follow this step but this girl is kinda demanding... make sure you do this and glue the fucking flowers to the fucking bag!... thts what i hear. but if we can love meg and rob and corrine we can love her right?... :| meh...

  • @drumergirl814 I definitely don't hear anything "demanding" about this tutorial. It sounds like she's giving directions, just like RCM used to do. Maybe her teaching style is a bit different, but yes, we can love her. She has no control over where Threadbanger goes- that's NNN's job. She needs our support through all of the hateful comments people are leaving on her videos.

  • @Moose6960 i have to agree with you there.

  • So hab ich mal was anderes als nur Filz

  • I'm gonna miss Meg, Rob and Corinne. This lady is pretty cool too... Cute bag, this is definitely on my "To Do" list

i still don't know why the others have gone tho... Anyone???

  • wow...awsm awsm awsm......

  • I will miss the other guys but having different people and point of views is good to. I was thinking that maybe a few girly things to make is a good idea.

  • ewwewewe.. i like the old people:(

  • Luv'd the music...and the bag is cute too

  • Welcome

  • I made a red one and it really looks like the Blugirl one! I really really love it, thanks so much!

  • wow.. very great tutorial welcome to the threadbanger fam!

  • i do that too because my get taking.

  • @Sanamuffin u can do it by hand. I did use a sewing machine though. Also the chain should be long enough so that it wil comfortable slip in and out of her wrist!

  • I love the purse. Thanks for the tutorial. It has given me some ideas...especially the flowers.

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial--it's giving me ideas to how to make certain things--and good luck on this channel!! I also like how you used a less distracting background to show what you were doing. However, I'm a tad lost on how to do a blind stitch---think you may add a tutorial about different forms/uses of stitching?

  • I miss old Threadbangers..

  • @makeuptoya Don't get me wrong i love your vids too secret, that's why i was already subbed to you.

  • Honestly, I've watched a few Thread Banger videos before but never really wanted to subscribe. I didn't like most of the things I saw featured and the stuff I did like was just waaay too complicated for me to try to use their instructions; I would have to cut corners.

KL's tutorials, on the other hand, are easy to follow and her style is cute and interesting. She's clever and genuinely peppy and when people stop moping over being deserted and give her a chance, they'll see that.

  • I am really impressed with your method of making flowers. I will definately try them myself. Can I make two suggestions though please.... why not leave the opening in the lining rather than the fashion fabric and that way the handstitching will be hidden inside the bag; secondly, could you speak a bit more slowly please as sometimes I had trouble catching what it was you were saying. Having said that, this is a brilliant video. Thanks.

  • @kimt2au LOL yeah, for some reason I didn't do the lining thing you mentioned (LOL I am an idiot -_-) , and yes I have a terrible problem with speaking too fast. I tried slowly down but I sound really really really unnatural. Actually I sound kind of stupid!! I use to go to speech competitions in high school and that's where I lost so many points on! I will definitely work on it! TY!

  • Nice, the flowers. Iám going to use that idea.

  • thanks for the flower explanation. Iám going use that.

  • i love you and i love threadbanger <3

  • super adorable! i cant wait to try this out!

  • I love this!!!!

  • Very nice and doesn't look "homemade" too much. Love the "how big to make your little bag :-)

  • Absolutely love you, and your first tutorial is amazing. I've been following TB for so long, and I was worried I wouldn't like change, but I do!! I'm soooo excited for you and to see what else you bring us!! You are such a ray of sunshine!

  • Its just about preference of style... not "class"... I honestly enjoy looking like a bum once and while and this is not my style....

  • @silverbracelet6 u and me both. I sit at home in a wife beater with cheeto stains and a pair of torn up jeans ^_^" nothing wrong with it......but I add small pieces like this to spice thing sup.

  • Ok I don't mind the new treadbanger, but please, PLEASE dont make it into some girly girl thing with all makeup and perses and skirts and stuff, Im a girl myself but I hate all the girly girl crap XP

  • @kittycat5261 WHAT IS SO WRONG ABOUT LOOKING LIKE uuh idk A GIRL!!!!!! no one cares if this isn't wt u like. she worked really hard on this purse and u should appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW maybe u should try being girlie if u eva want a boyfriend!

  • @kittycat5261 Honestly, this looks like how the new Threadbanger will be. Probably not totally girlie, but it's under new management now, so, not to be mean, but deal with it. Besides, it can't hurt to learn something new.. Personally, I like the more fashion-forward direction. Some of the things that have been on Threadbanger before just looked so homemade, (in the shabby, elementary-school-level sense, not the loving crafty sense) I hope we continue to see such polished looking projects.

  • @kittycat5261 Well, i am a girly girl. ^_^"

  • Very good tutorial ! I am going to make this bag for my daughter.

And dont listen to the Haters..not your fault the old crew was sneaking out through the backdoor!

  • This looks ten times better than the designer bag! Good job [:

  • @Zombiegenocide1337 dont try that :(

  • you are simply your best :) KEEP IT UP! WHOOT! WHOOT! some people jux needs to stop being assholes...

  • i miss corinne, rob and meg..

but i also subscribe to secretlifeofabionerd and i love her

  • woww the bag looks almost exactly like the $700+ bag!

  • love the name :)

  • All you haters, go watch her Max Azria dress tutorial. Then come here and try to tell me she's not good enough for threadbanger.

  • @Contessology Go watch some of her actual sewing videos. They're comparable to threadbanger, trust me.
