The musicianship among the others sounded professional but lacked the magic (spark of genius) of groups like Led Zep, Hendrix, or even Black Sabbath. I grew up at a very special time when rock was still young and all the boundries were expanding by the week. And the population was very young so there were a lot of people competing for attention. The music industry was run from the A&R side not the bean counters who run it today.

Saw them in 71 warming up for Ten Years After ,Mylon le Fevre started the show all for get this 6.50 ! Pete French was the vocalist on that tour ,thought he was great .think he became Cactus 's lead singer

Great days, back then we had men and women not men women, undecided, recent changed, etc, Life was fun as the sixties and sevennties saw off the drab austerity days. oh and bands played guitars and drums , had talent and knew how to entertain. and they did it without refering to killing, ho's, guns' gangs and other ethnic crap.

I don't know what planet you're living on, or were living on back then, but they had gay people and cross dressers in the 70's - or have you forgotten the androgynous look of bands and singers like Marc Bolan, early David Bowie, etc?
And as to the "ethnic crap" you're referring to, well, you're just being ignorant there - the music of bands like Atomic Rooster had a strong blues element, derived from Black American music - or is that not "ethnic"?

I mean just look at the way people dressed in the 60s (Epic) vs. the way they dressed in the 80s (lame) ..

The musicianship among the others sounded professional but lacked the magic (spark of genius) of groups like Led Zep, Hendrix, or even Black Sabbath. I grew up at a very special time when rock was still young and all the boundries were expanding by the week. And the population was very young so there were a lot of people competing for attention. The music industry was run from the A&R side not the bean counters who run it today.

I just find it irritating that there are so many new artists out there today that I love that don't get much attention at all. In my opinion, Black Bonzo's album "Sound of the Apocalypse" is on the same level as for example Led Zeppelin's "Houses of the Holy", one of my all time favorite albums. I hope my generation can bring more music like this...

She's right kids; we didn't have sex outside we had it in nice comfortable cars. Cars were big, roomy, and metal so it was very easy. Now they have something called a smart car which would be very difficult to do it in but funny to watch.

I was eleven years old when this song came out and it still sounds fresh and appropriate today. The seventies was a great time musically but looking back on our youth it always seems better and it probably was. Our time will come again mate.
