  • I feel I get a better workout on an elliptical machine like this going hands-free and pumping my arms rather than an elliptical machine and pushing the handles.

  • @RobinGermanotta I know you wrote this awhile ago. But, working out at home can help you to lose weight, tone, and build strength. I have lost 35lbs at home in less than 5 months. I do have the help of a treadmill, handheld weights and the internet at my home though. My main exercise is working out with Free Online exercise videos and walking. You have to have a lot of determination to pull off working out at home. My College has a gym, so I willl start using that in a couple months. :)

  • @dar1e08 jogging does not give you the weight training resistance and is also very hard on your joints and knees and eventually you will have to give it up later on in life for a less impact workout. It also can break down cartilage

  • @gy3462 That is the main reason I use an elliptical machine. I also read an article, from a dermatologist, that is better for you face skin. He said high recomendable to use an elliptical instead of running or jogging until we get a face bra.

  • @AztecaMario actually, im on varsity softball and volleyball ....... your one to judge, huh? the elliptical is hard for someone who doesn't use gym equipment everyday, it's not something someone is use too when you first start off

    I can already tell your lying and bullshitting. To be in a varsity team you must be able to run and be fit, this machine mocks running but at a lower intensity. If you find it hard to use this machine you must be out of shape and unfit, so yeah i am one to judge.

  • @johnsonphil85 if you life your heels your working out more of your calfs, if you can keep your feet down and steady, works out mostly the whole leg. Either way you're working out.

  • We have that same one... I run on it for about 40 minutes a day then 2 days a week i go for an hour... But I havent lost ANY weight at all IDK why any ideas? I don't eat a lot and I eat fairly decent food too not a lot of junkfood

  • @Chtyoah If you don't eat a lot, it could be that your body goes into starvation mode and begins to store more fat. or it could be related to the quality of the food you eat(junk food has lots of calories). You could go to a dietitian and have him/her give you a diet plan. It made a big difference to me.

  • @Chtyoah get a heart rate monitor and find out whats should be your hear rate to burn fat. You are probably just burning calories, but if you try harder and bring your heart rate to the top then u start burning fat.

    Im not an expert but thats what my trainer tells me.. Also start building muscle that helps ur metabolism..

  • yes they toned my arms @Momoko458 ... yes you can use them at the same time as running or you dont have to, whatever your comfortable with, i personally think this type of machine you can you with handles does alot more for your arms than weights

  • I use it for 30mins a day as thats how long the course is for the weightloss one, Obviously i have lost more weight since my 1st comment :)

  • how do you keep track of distance on the machine, is it in miles? my machine has a number for distance, but it increase too quickly that I think it must not be in miles

  • This is the main machine i use at the gym ... ours has handles that move aswel , so far its help me burn off 12lbs in 5 weeks, for me that is a big step!

  • @ikrizia i stopped for a while but i am now back using it ... but this time i do the hill climb programe and burn 400 cals in 35mins ... my older comment i was on the weightloss program ... so i think this time round i will lose weight alot quicker

  • @iiHatezDomii 1 hour a day ... but i dont use this anymore as my main exercise i use the hill climb on the tredmill and burn over 1000 cals in 40mins which is alot better than this machine for me anyways :):) as i was only burning 500 each time i used it and took longer to lose weight

  • Big doubt!. Does it help me reduce my weight?. I just click on the fatburn button on my machine which is pre-programmed for 30 minutes.
