thats everyday i do some stuff different other days. i do this Monday-Saturday rest Sunday. do you think this is a good work out to get my stamina up an get a little lighter on my feet or should i change stuff around??
im guna sign up for barrys in a month cuz right now i want to get my stamina up really bad because back then i could last a lot long then now an im pretty big im 5'9 5'10 an weigh 249, what i started doing Monday is run 4 or 5 miles everyday,jump rope 3 sessions 10 minutes each session an 1 or 2mintue breaks (sometimes with 5lbs on my feet each so 10 total),sit ups around 50-80 everyday,shadow box with 2lb on my hands so i can get a little more speed an power,thats everyday i do some stuff diff
It really depends on the fighter, but me: I wanted to get back into decent shape, make sure my reflexes were ok, because I wasnt going to get embarrassed by nobody!! so I made sure I was 100 before I got in there with the killers!! Thanks for the comment!!
hey bro thanx fo da reply. So do u run each morning and do boxing in da evenings?? Any weights? Da reason Im asking is coz Ive started training on my own to get back in shape and get back in da boxing gym in Jan/Feb and right now I kinda look like u did when u first started bak haha.
yea no problem...I run about 430am and go to the gym about 1130am, strength training is good, but i dont do it but every now and then...but run, train, and diet, and u will be good!!
I probably am ;) his record suggests that he has alot more experiance, I thought he may be working to get you back into it after the time out you say you've had, but If ya say hes not then I'll take your word for it. Point I was trying to make (and failed miserably :P ) was that sparring isnt about who "wins"
Skipping is a main way of stamina. Spa's just help you get a good experiance and a way of learning to get good footwork.
Try a Agility ball for 10 min.
Skipping to a song for 10 mins.
And try dancing, This can get you good rhythm.
