  • LA CADENCIA ESTA FUERA DE TIEMPO,TODAS LAS PARTITURAS HAY QUE RESPETARLAS COMO ESTAN ESCRITAS SOBRE TODO LOS ANDANTES DE AHI EL TIEMPO DE EJECUCION ,NO OLVIDAR QUE PERTENECE AL PERIODO CLASICO Y NO AL ROMANTICO.,MOZART NO NECESITA DE ADORNOS NI TRINOS.

  • Wonderfull... Thank you!

  • Perahia is a true mozartian pianist! His touch is so elegant and perfect. A Master!!!

  • Absolument génial !

  • Fantastic

  • The portrayal of Mozart in "Amadeus" is inaccurate in many ways

  • TY Nodame2006 for posting.

  • The ornamentation he is using are not from the score. They are Perahia's own ornamentations. It's just something that musicians did all the time during Mozart's time. I also read that Mozart wrote this so "simple" because he wanted people to improvise a little bit on it.

  • I am trying to embed this movement and the rondo on my blog re: favorite videos. I was a classmate of Murray's at the NYC HS of Performing Arts. Please respond.

  • Normally I don't mind if a pianist adds a few extra touches of his own to a piece. Often I find it even better than the original, but here the extras really detract from the music and sound awful.

"But it's perfect as it is. I can't rewrite what's perfect!" - Mozart

(well, the Mozart in "Amadeus" anyway)

  • @podx990 just where are the "extra touches" you find that "detract" from the music? do you have a score in front of you or are you referring to another recording? Perhaps you listen to the Amedeus soundtrack and you are under the impression that Mozart was playing the "original score"?? To my ear, this performance is a very standard version, I can't even find any elaborate oppportunity for a cadenza.

  • @jjjheine Jesus fucking Christ, where AREN'T the extra touches? Have you never heard any other recording of this piece? Also, this piece is NOT on the Amadeus soundtrack. As far as any impression that Mozart was playing the "original score" [sic], I'm afraid I've never heard Mozart himself play this piece unlike you apparently.

  • @8Ho03EdONl1liL Just listened to the Brendel performance here which you will also find objectionable. A comment on the Brendel applies equally to the Perahia (despite it being a poor recording): "a perfectly paced , limpid performance, with nice ornament work of Brendel, just one of his calling cards that make him standout, without sentimentality". I have a feeling that you would prefer the sterile performance here listed by one Lyn Czae.Note perfect, boring: for anal retentives

  • Beautiful like an angel who slowly comes down to the earth then soars back to heaven tenderly. This is what I started to love MOZART.

  • mozart communicates sublime beauty that goes to your hear directly in 2-3 notes.

  • @Verityseo Agreed! And he did it again and again and again and again.... Incroyable!

  • Maravilloso pero quisiera escucharlo tocar mozart 3 adagio alguna ves en la vida gracias maestro

  • does anyone happen to know what version hes using? it has many more ornamintaions than im use to hearing

  • Rudolf Serkin's version?

  • @ThePVGS1 thank you,
