Thank you for the easy and quick recipe :) However mine turned out to be very hard, even though they tasted pretty nice but they were very hard ;( do you think I shud use baking soda as this was my first time of baking something .. let me know plz.. Thanks
thanks for ur brilliant receipies , we have tried these cookies but as we have tradition oven with max 220 deg and tried cookies with this but cookies get harder and non krispy , kindly give me some tip how to improve this
Thank You so very much Aunty Anjula for sharing this healthy version of the cookies. I always prefer whole wheat and make my pan cakes and Crepes with whole wheat flour. This is the very first recipe of eggless cookies I've ever come across and I'm gonna give 'em a try soon.
This is such a great starter recipe. I started with your recipe and now have been successfully adapting it to other flavours like chocolate, masala cookies & so on. Thank you for this simple and tasty recipe.
i tried this at home, and followed exactly the video and your instructions. The cookies came out pretty good, but I somehow felt it is not very crispy,...please let me know what could be the reason for this?.... My oven is a small prestige oven,... i set the temperature to 200 degree C and put the timer to 10 mins,.. for pre heating the oven. Is that enough? ... I baked the cookies for about 18 mins. Allowed to cool down for 10 mins after baking. Please help me aunty
Hi Aunt. I have been a regular visitor and have loved every recipe you have posted.Having come to the US newly, I miss my mother. However I am thankful to your recipes. I have tried many of them and they tasted exactly like how my mother makes them.
I have been noticing your kitchen counters and they are immaculately clean. My counter is tiled similarly and every week I end up doing heavy duty scrubbing using baking soda and vinegar. Do you have any tips? Do you use a counter guard/mat?
hello manjula aunty, is there any alternative for butter...and can we make it without sugar or with the sugarfree sweetner..coz my mom's a diabetic...please advise...thank u
at least, nice recipe, thank you Manjula! That it is what I was looking for!
2 times when I try to bake my cookies the result was that they were "wet" after baking, so now the 3rd time I will try yours recipe and I hope it will be ok. Namaste.
Now I want to make cookies! Your videos are making me feel like I can actually cook something without it turning into a mutant and, inevitably, being eaten by what I was trying to eat. Thank you again. :)
I made it.. It turned out good .. but it cooked only in 12 min. If I haven't seen it ,It might get burned ... I think time varies according to different oven .. anyways thank you so much ..I am a fan of you ..
Aunti ji.. I made them right now... they were off the hook... everyone loved them... Thank you so much for vegetarian dishes bc my mom doesn't eat eggs... you r soooooo awesome:)
Thank you manjula for this recipe. I love it. Do you think it will work with pecans or pistachios?
I use a different recipe for my almond cookies. It contains egg but it is flourless. I grind the almonds into a powder, add sugar, baking powder and egg. They are soft out of the oven but after a day they are crunchy like biscuit. I like it too but I do not like too much egg, so your recipe is a perfect alternative. Thank you again.
man, if i could afford it, i would use almond milk instead of cow's milk for this. I hope to try this, with an almond in the middle! I think this is a great recipe BECAUSE you can change it a little, but still get a delicious almond cookie.
Love it!Love it! Love it! wish I had almonds now in my home. I m sure it tastes and smells wonderful. I too love elaichi flavor. Thnx soo much aunty! :)
Thank you for the wonderful recipe. Would you sprinkle these with almonds or add almond flavoring to them to make them almond? The look very tasty like this though. I wonder if it would be okay to leave out the cardamon and use nutmeg or some other spice I already have? Susie
Cardamom has a strong, unique taste, with an intensely aromatic fragrance. both green and black cardamom are used as flavorings in food and drink, as cooking spices and as a medicine. The Sanskrit name for cardamom is "elā" or "truṭī." In Urdu/Hindi/Gujarati and some Southern Indian languages, it is called "ilaayachee" or "elchi."
Hello Manjulaji, can you please tell me 1 cup of flour equals to how many grams?

Hi, I have a gas oven which has only 3markings: 150, 200 and 250 . How can I preheat it to 360 degree F? Thank you
abhiramimuthu 2 years ago
if your oven only goes up to 250 it means it is 250C (celcius)
360F = 182.2C
