  • Hello aunty,

i tried this at home, and followed exactly the video and your instructions. The cookies came out pretty good, but I somehow felt it is not very crispy,...please let me know what could be the reason for this?.... My oven is a small prestige oven,... i set the temperature to 200 degree C and put the timer to 10 mins,.. for pre heating the oven. Is that enough? ... I baked the cookies for about 18 mins. Allowed to cool down for 10 mins after baking. Please help me aunty

    thanks

    vijay

  • Hi Aunt. I have been a regular visitor and have loved every recipe you have posted.Having come to the US newly, I miss my mother. However I am thankful to your recipes. I have tried many of them and they tasted exactly like how my mother makes them.

I have been noticing your kitchen counters and they are immaculately clean. My counter is tiled similarly and every week I end up doing heavy duty scrubbing using baking soda and vinegar. Do you have any tips? Do you use a counter guard/mat?

  • hi manjula aunti, i tried to bake these cookies, but they were stuck on baking sheet and did not spread up...what should i do?

  • Mathaji, thank you for the awesome recipes to offer to Sri Krishna.

I am planning to make cookies \but can I bake it in my pizza tray as it has holes inside??

    plzz reply..thankyou

  • U R THE BEST!! Thank You Ms. Manjula.

  • Thank you manjula for this recipe. I love it. Do you think it will work with pecans or pistachios?

I use a different recipe for my almond cookies. It contains egg but it is flourless. I grind the almonds into a powder, add sugar, baking powder and egg. They are soft out of the oven but after a day they are crunchy like biscuit. I like it too but I do not like too much egg, so your recipe is a perfect alternative. Thank you again.

  • @Akilahfoye

it will work with pecans or pistachios.

  • Since you use extra salt I assume the butter is unsalted.Thx for the recipe.

  • @rni15 yes I do use unsalted butter, salted butter will have too much salt for cookies.

  • Great recipe Aunty! Thanks for sharing!

  • I love you Manjula, please keep up your videos, I feel happy to watch and learn from you:)

  • I made these for my best friend's daughter's birthday party & the kids LOVED it! Thank you for this recipe Manjula

  • I'll bake these tomorrow! Thank you so much.

  • Hi, I have a gas oven which has only 3markings: 150, 200 and 250 . How can I preheat it to 360 degree F? Thank you

  • if your oven only goes up to 250 it means it is 250C (celcius)

    360F = 182.2C

  • Thank you

  • You are the best!!!

  • So easy! They look delicious. I can't wait to try them.

    (I love your glasses, Manjula!)

  • gr8 aunty u did goodd job hope when i made these cookies looks like delicious too

  • Could you substitute the milk for coconut milk?

  • man, if i could afford it, i would use almond milk instead of cow's milk for this. I hope to try this, with an almond in the middle! I think this is a great recipe BECAUSE you can change it a little, but still get a delicious almond cookie.

  • Love it!Love it! Love it! wish I had almonds now in my home. I m sure it tastes and smells wonderful. I too love elaichi flavor. Thnx soo much aunty! :)

  • Thank you for the wonderful recipe. Would you sprinkle these with almonds or add almond flavoring to them to make them almond? The look very tasty like this though. I wonder if it would be okay to leave out the cardamon and use nutmeg or some other spice I already have? Susie

  • @susiebeemee

    Yes you may do that.

  • eggless cookies, fantastic!

  • Yum (:

  • Thank you for this recipe Auntie!

  • lovely recipe. ty manjula

  • i have been wanting to find eggless cookies for so long. thank you very much for this.

    you are awesome manjula :)

  • Great recipe but what is cardamon!

  • Cardamom has a strong, unique taste, with an intensely aromatic fragrance. both green and black cardamom are used as flavorings in food and drink, as cooking spices and as a medicine. The Sanskrit name for cardamom is "elā" or "truṭī." In Urdu/Hindi/Gujarati and some Southern Indian languages, it is called "ilaayachee" or "elchi."

  • Where are the almonds? lmao.

  • I adore you. Do you have any good tika masala recipies?

  • Good Job Manjula :)!
