why would you use a digital guitar to make guitar sounds? kinda missing the point IMO. this would be way more useful to play synth or organ stuff, as I know it can.
Again.... Starr Labs, if you've seen my other comments on your video, please find someone who can play the guitar.. I can't tell if your product sounds like shit or if it's the person on LSD in the video playing your guitars. Thank you!
@ProfessorWonder Um...right. If this is in response to our responding to "this is only digital sound right", well, we're not really sure what you're getting at. MIDI protocol has no actual sound. It is strictly a communication language between electronic instruments. Our instruments are programmable MIDI controllers that can trigger any MIDI (or USB for that matter) device, software, instrument, etc... We do make models with built-in 'internal' soundcards. But, yeah, MIDI is digital 0_0
@CalVoFrK6532 Duh, you're missing the point of this thing. it's a midi controller! you can make your guitar sound like any instrument, sample. region yadda yadda you want it to. it controls information to put a sound to whatever note you play.
When you guys do your videos you should record the sound from the sound source directly so we don't hear all that string click. With the You Rock Guitars basically stealing your ideas at a cheaper price point are you guys coming out with a full featured model at lower prices?
i gotta say this...i call this ''guitar'' Fusion of Worlds...as a music apprentice, i feel that it's the best way to describe...look what rob swire did with it...gosh
@MrManson94 Wrong. This is a MIDI Guitar controller with proprietary software and hardware, that controls whatever synth, sampler, module, DAW, analog or digital.
Nice! What are the differences between this unit and the upcoming Rock controller? This looks like a larger (nicer.. maple) scale version. Based on the ~$399 estimate for the Rock Controller, this is about a grand more. I'm in the market, so trying to see if this would be worth the extra cash.
@audiotrax2000 well you can order them with a synth card and then they have internal sounds and you do not have to connected to a keyboard . i was only asking if the can create a custom synth card with in order to play easier pendulum songs
@audiotrax2000 This one does have an upgrade with the TCA trigger cap. We've more videos of this the Z5 and Rock Controller interacting with software etc... Stay tuned, and thanks for the kind comment, too!
I LOVE this!!! You guys are totally on the right track with your new designs. I have wanted one of your controllers for ages, but the prices were just way out of reach. This one or the new rock controller have me salivating for tax return time. I'll have this video worn out soon - please keep posting more, especially showing them used with a sequencer and different vsts. THANK YOU :)

Marcosfan90: these devices are MIDI controllers. They don't have any internal sounds.

rob swire from the band pendulum uses a z6 s-p in order to play synth sounds . if i buy a z5 will i be able to create the same sounds

At a $1'599 price point you really should just throw in the TCA sensor.

Damn, this thing is hot. Really dig the finish, and it looks like the playability is outstanding as usual from Starr.

Good stuff this is what musicians need to see to make a decision about your products.

Does this one have the tca touch triggers, 'cause that would make it perfect.
