Yup I live here. That was a bad fire but I live in the east county and the cedar fire was WAY worse for us at least. It looks amazing but I feel bad for all of those people.
I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope all of you were able to escape with no injuries. Although a painful subject, I was honored to have captured it in the perspective I did. God bless you.
Wow! I live in Orange County a couple of miles away from the Santiago fire and the last few days have been soo terrifying!!! I could smell the fire each time I step outside, the sky is sooo dark of smoke and the air is soo thick. Every morning there's a thin layer of debris on my car's windshield from the fire... I thank God that this didn't happen near my home. I do however feel soooo sad for the people that lost their homes... may God be with you all. GBU!!!!!!
Thanks for posting this. This is exactly what it felt like along the coast Monday. It was eerie and frightening and, of course, beautiful at the same time. San Diego is such a beautiful place though, even during a tragedy. That is why people continue to live here and rebuild. We have a deep appreciation and love for our communities here and will pull together and get through this. Thank the firefighters when you see them and all the volunteers.
i feel sorry for the people who passed away because of this tragedy, im from the philippine for the people who are still suffering from fire, just pray for the God and thank him, that all of you has a life to survive.
yes they are safe. thanks. they were here in idaho when they received a call from a neighbor that it was all gone. all they have left is what was packed in their suitcases. i have only been living in idaho for two years so i was there during the fires in 2003. but i really feel helpless up here. i have friends and family all over san diego. i am proud to hear the reports of how well things are being handled. hang tight down there! lisa
beautifully done. i am in idaho thinking of all my loved ones in my home town (sd). my in laws lost their home in the witch creek fire out by the wild animal park. it's hard to get good news coverage from where i am. thank you for putting this into perspective so well. lisa

My house burned down in the witch creek fire. It started about two miles from my home. My house was the third one to burn. This was very powerful.
