  • Omg same here and I'm only 14 years old!

  • hey i am 14 and i get it

  • I had it this morning. Insane

  • Yeah he's right i had an experience as well i grabbed the door as well i was floating above my self face to face i screamed yelled i was scared as hell i now understand im ready to experience it again i traveled into another realm somewhere it was intense i was very tired listening to music and i wanted to finish listening to the cd i was fighting the sleep but very relaxed and it happened it was dam near a nightmare i was calm but i thought i had died i saw other beings !

  • I've tried this about a month ago, and i was almost there, I was breathing and breathing until I couldn't feel what my body was doing, I started to feel my body shake, like vibrating. I felt my eyes moving rapidly back and fourth. my friend was looking at me like what the fuck.. and then I had trouble breathing.. and it felt like a wave was coming over me.

  • @herbieB when i was little i had a dream about a volcano and i fell in, it scared me because it stopped right at the moment i fell in so it just showed the lava.I tried getting up but it seemed liek i could see,but i couldnt open my eyes did i hve a OOBE?

  • @warfreak9039 Not in my opinion.

  • I'm an insomniac and when I close my eyes and lull to a state where I'm braindead. Then it feels like my brain is being ripped out of my head and Imy limbs can't move.I can see my parents but they can't see me.OBE IS REAL.

  • how would you know if it is not a dream? i've tried doing this myself a few times however i have never been successful at doing this.

  • @ultradumbass I’ve thought about this a lot. After ten years of dreamwork I came to the conclusion that, for mot people, it’s extremely difficult to tell whether or not you’re dreaming while your dreaming. But once you wake up, it’s immediately apparent the experience was a dream. In retrospect, the experience I had bore none of the characteristics of a dream.

  • @herbieB is there a real way to do this? i tried different methods to see if it works but all i succeeded was moving my physical body in a semi conscious state and on one occasion hitting my head on my book shelf.

  • @ultradumbass I’ve never been able to repeat my spontaneous experience, but others swear by different techniques. Clearly no one approach works for everybody, but it may be worth your while exploring different methods. Have a look at ‘Navigating the Out of Body Experience’ by Graham Nichols.

  • @herbieB in my dreams i always know im dreaming. is that weird??

  • @420thebeatles No, it’s brilliant. Some people work for years to try to develop lucid dreaming. Have a look at lucidity.com.

  • Thank you for sharing

  • I woke up I couldn't talk I was in my friends house I was trying to scream but I couldn

  • @Jonathanmcdonagh13 Hey dude that has happened to me a couple of times. If it happens don't panic, you were in your energy body but still attached to your physical one. I recommend reading Robert Monroe's "Journeys out of the body" and William Buhlman's "Adventures Beyond the Body". Your life will change once you have your first oobe

  • this happens to me daily and i hate it. I fall asleep and then sort of half wake up, im awake but i cant move my body or open my eyes, but at the same time ill manage to jump up and fly off or whatever. I normally turn around and look at myself, but tbh all i wanna do is wake up because its really scary... it feels like my brain detaches itself somehow so that my mind isnt functioning with my body but almost seperate.

  • @ses4life Don't be scared! You are completely safe while this is happening. Next time it happens think (be really forceful) "I am in control". Another great one is "Clarity NOW!" when things are really fuzzy or just feel off. Read Robert Monroe's "Journeys out of the body" and William Buhlman's "Adventures Beyond the Body" (Start with adventures) but there a lot of other great books on the subject. Have fun exploring!

  • every time I have an oobe I instantly start falling through my bed and ground until I manage to float back up and out of my house.

  • thats ruddy amazing

  • if this is really real how can people say there is no creator for are spirits? See I was an atheist but now I have more questions about after life and god now. Also trying to put the obe in that picture. only if I could actually experience obe. = /

  • @Abominations1 Read Robert Monroe's "Journeys out of the body" and William Buhlman's "Adventures Beyond the Body" and there are a lot of other books. They have tips and techniques. I have just had my first oobe after a month or so of trying fairly regularly.

  • "Damn it, my spirit floated out of my body again, now I can't go the bathroom!" Lol, this is amazing, whether it was a dream or real!

  • It was almost certainly sleep paralysis and possibly also the start of an OOBE. Question is why it didn't happen.

  • Okay so i'm a bit confused so please help. This morning i woke up laying on my back, when i tried to move i couldn't, i started feeling vibrations and i could hear these weird noises like WOWwowWOWwow... is this sleep paralysis or was i about to get an out of body experience????

  • @EVHfilms Dude that is classic oobe vibrations, you were just about to lift off! A lot of people in that state can pretty much leave theor bodies just by thinking of floating up. I am recommending everyone read Robert Monroe's "Journeys Out of the Body" and William Buhlman's "Adventures Beyond the Body" as I have just had my first oobe after reading these books and using their techniques.

  • @MrJerktube Sweet :D i got so scared and got out of it

  • I had astral projections a lot as a kid and the last one was about a year ago where I felt I was doing a head stand, I could feel my feet swaying back n forth but was somehow stuck at my head. I was awake n yet asleep at the same time. It took a couple minutes to finally wake myself out of it.

  • @lMusicAndMadnessl Well said.

  • I used to sniff Ether and had these all the time. Scary first time but just got funnier & funnier after that.

  • I had an OBE, before i even knew what it was. It all happened yesterday, and it was just too freakish and real to be a dream, so i started thinking about it and researched. I was near sleep, with full consciousness of being awake. I handt sleep for 2 days and i was on drugs and big hangover from a college party.

It was pretty subjective at first, i looked at my bedroom clock and it was 14:30 pm. Opened my window and the sun was setting. etc. etc, christmas decorations and so on.... freeakky.

  • I've had an obe...with ketamine(don't do drugs boys n girls!)

i was sat on the sofa in a freind's flat...and i suddenly realised i was seeing myself from behind...the flat was like a large translucent box in space and i could see myself sat in it...ketamine does wierd thing such as seeing corridors that ar'ent there out of walls ...your hands feel like plastic and look really long and thin..and you sometimes end up in large blank light spaces with nothing but a warm glow around you...

  • @metamaggot I've also been stuck in a freind's van for a short while...I was supposed to leave(was feeling sick) but i first had to get back into my body and take control of it again...pretty difficult!...i managed to do so but it was too late...i puked on somebody who was just coming in through the door (haha)you really have no bodily control sometimes...you just end up on the ground or up in trees wondering how the hell you got there.

  • I've stopped experimenting with ketamine for a long time now..it makes me sick for some reason (most people are ok)...the effects are interesting to some degree but it's definitely not the healthiest substance to use...even though doctors do...

  • @metamaggot its called a k-hole you idiot not a obe

  • Comment removed

  • @brilynnenomoto nay nay...different thing...a k hole is when your vision recedes into your body and becomes condensed ,it feels like you're looking through a tube.....

  • I had an OBE's experience too, I was in space it was so wonderful looking around at the moon, stars, planets and our planet what I seen was heaven but all of a sudden I came crashing down I woke up really quickly I told my husband he didn't believe me

  • i have had one saw my own face on the sofa handle wired it scared the shit out of me and i counldnt move at all

  • @lMusicAndMadnessl People who leave their bodies after clinical death also experience the same thing. They're standing on the floor/ground but can walk through things. Think on this one, if he could open a door or interact with physical things while out of his body, then to any other observer, the door would be opening by itself... The man was describing an experience that happened to him. Not sure what your comment "belief is an interesting thing" has to do with anything.

  • If you want to understand how out of body experiences work, and how souls float outside a body, and what a soul exactly is, then read 'God Stopping A Nuclear War', if you can afford 99 cents.

Even the Trinity concept is explained.

The book seems to be the promised book, Little Scroll, promised to mankind by God to explain his mystery to man. Just before a nuclear war.

  • If you could walk through the door and not grab the handle, how could you lie in bed? Wouldn't you fall through it or fall through the floor?

  • @Georgieisaporgie No idea, except that I was making an effort to grip the knob while I obviously wasn’t trying to push through the bed or the floor. But your overall point is well made: there were a lot of things about the experience that didn’t add up.

  • @herbieB

That actually makes sense now because it's almost like your having a super realistic dream that is associated to places you know well. However, people have been known to go anywhere in their OBE. It's pretty scary stuff and i would be scared to watch myself in bed haha! One thing i would like to do is Lucid Dream because that seems pretty cool!

  • @Georgieisaporgie it gets weirder. I had a very powerful OBE where I just got out of the bed to go to the toilet, and found I couldn't pee, and when I went back to me room I saw my body on the bed with two beings on each side of it--human-looking. Now i COULD open my door!! lol Mysterious hey?

  • @zezt You did? How weird! I am scared of having one tbh!

  • @Georgieisaporgie LOL. It is amazing and very changes your life! I met faeries--not the walt disney variety ;)

  • @zezt Oh you did? You enjoy them then and take advantage of them?

  • @Georgieisaporgie I myself left this body in 1990,. at a Dennys restaurant, I went up not down to the floor.

Beautiful one time experience I will never forget, seems like it happened today

  • @kregg123 why won't you try it again?

  • I had one when Carrie Underwood won. No lie. o-o

  • How did you find this experience? I would like to try an out-of-bod experience.

  • @Emblain100 It just happened to me, but there are loads of books that give techniques. I’d recommend the work of Graham Nicholls.

  • @herbieB yea my mom said she was sleeping and she woke up and she saw her spirit going around the room and she couldnt move

  • HI I have them all the time. I started at 16 years old and now they are stronger and i can actually control when I am traveling out of my body. The only thing I cant not control is when its happening, As in the vibrations before you exit the reality we all call.

  • Highly doubt weed will make u have an out of body experience. Ur just a dumbass

  • I had one a few months back while I was under the influence of marijuana. Scary shit.

  • actually OBEs are dangerous some spirits may enter the body & you can never get back to your own body....so you have to find a corpse and explain what happen to your wife.....unfortunately you may got shot by the new owner of your body....who now owns your family & everythng that goes with it....my advice look for a royal corpse....& bring all his gold to your house... just kidding....very nice experience indeed..: > )

  • Hello Herbie when I saw your experience I got goose bumps. I started having my Obe's when I was 18 and I had many after that. I am 35 now and I haven't really had that many, but I am going to pursue this again. It truly is an amazing feeling.

  • @juanito1975 You’re right, Juanito — it really is an amazing experience. I’m glad you made your videos: I think the more people who talk (sensibly) about this the better.

  • a lot of people look at this in scientific or spiritual ways, i really dont know what to think, what you learn about obe can affect you when you actually have one, spiritual people might run into demons or passed loved ones cuz thats what they think of it

  • @JedidiahPaki yah thts sleeps paralysis a lot of people talk about it

  • I KNOW this happened to you. And I KNOW it has nothing whatsoever to do with medication or lack of oxygen, as some people seem to believe. Thank you for sharing.

  • i think i've had one before because when i was in primary school a football came flying towards me but i saw my self from the back and watched it happen when it hit me i felt shaky

  • @MrJerseyangel0078 You just have to know who is willing to listen to you and learn from your experience, Ive never had an OBE but I want to, my mother and some friends have... I wish the world was more open about this, that everyone could talk about it freely, Im pretty sure most people have this kind of experience but are afraid of being called crazy or laughed at like you. I also believe that in ancient times humans used to work with the mind rather than the matter but we forgot how to somehow

  • @MrJerseyangel0078 No worries the world is slowly changing there are more and more of us waking to the truths of reality. I am still bit cautious sharing my OBE's but in most circumstances people go oh so that is what I experienced or even yea I had OBE's too.. No laughing just amazement or recognition what had happened to them. Cheers.

  • This are all Classic symptoms of OBE. Thank you for sharing.

  • I had some weird dream, i couldnt sleep for ages and then i finally slept for a bit and suddenly there was aboslutely no delay, i just appeared in the kitchen staring at the wall wtf..

  • I too have been having OBE's. One that scared me the most was when I was paralyzed in myself. I could look around me, but I did not want to look behind me because I was scared that someone was behind me. I tried screaming for help, but nothing came out of my mouth. However I heard my voice in my ears each with a loud screech noise. After a while I continued panicking and I woke up

  • @onlyBrandonMcGrath Ive read about that, its called sleep paralysis. And the noise is a common symptom too... or so they say... Ive been trying to have an OBE but I cant do it, probably cuz I just dont know how. Were you really tired when you went to bed? Did you eat before going to bed or your stomach was empty? What time did the OBE ocurred? I love OBEs cuz people who had them tell me it changes their lives and they learn that we are more than physical matter. Have a good day :)

  • @IALON Sadly I do not remember if I had ate something before taking a nap. 8/10 most likely not. It happened to me around 3 r 4 p.m, practically the middle of the day. It really freaked me out. when i did have control over my body my heart wanted to race outside of my chest. I had surgery on my right foot and what freaked me out the most was that I was actually walking as if I did not have surgery. Kind of like my sub-conscience. OMG those feelings were just so surreal.

  • @onlyBrandonMcGrath I have had this sort of experience as well, but i thought that my body was just way too tired or something. When i had the experience, i couldnt move as well, shouting for help was soo hard. Where im from this sort of experience is very common.

  • @onlyBrandonMcGrath holy fuck dude, i had that exact same experience! no shit! the exact same thing happened to me! i had the feeling, that somebody was standing behind me too! only difference is, that i heard somebody hammering on my door, like somebody was trying to knock it down. no idea why. that was scary as shit.

  • To me it is clear: some aspect of himself was avoiding waking up to use the bathroom. His mental potty training has fortunately been deep enough that he did not urinate in the bed or cause himself to be hospitalized from holding it for too long. However, his holistic condition sought an alternative. Its funny how this stuff works in real life.

  • Isn't it interesting that the memory of an experience such as this stays with you as if it had happened yesterday? I can see it in the telling of the story. My personal paranormal (dream, mostly) experiences are the same.

  • Hybman9 I think the sound is related to the experience of projection rather than the environment.

  • Does anyone actually know how and love the book series

  • That's weird you didn't realize you were having and OBE and only concern was wanted to go to the bathroom... did you ever have anymore OBEs and can you control it more and try to go do other stuff?

  • @proent Never managed another one, I’m afraid.

  • @herbieB Oh ok. Afraid as in scared of, or sorry to report you haven't had another?

  • @proent Afraid as in sorry. I’d love to do it again.

  • You said that u though it was the drug that made u get an OOBE. I would say that the so called " Angels" did know that u though that it was the drug, and thats why u had the OOBE again just to make sure for u that it wasent the drug. Thanks for sharing ur experience

  • There is a lot of debate on this subject, one side employing scientific deduction and the other conjecturous hiersay. Though there is a subjective experience to be had by the participant of these episodes and I can offer my own there is very drafted mathematical biological equivalent episodes concurrently occuring, the same mechanisms we use to dream and observe our waking reality.

Where is the debate guys, its all simple biology!!??

  • I had a dream a while ago, it was extremely strange to me. I was watching myself interact with the people in my life. I felt as if I was trying to convience someone including myself of why I did what I did. I started crying while I was watching myself interact with my son, it wasnt because I was doing anything wrong. I was deeply upset because in my dream I felt like I was never going to see him again. A tear feel from my face, and hit "the dream me's face." --

    ---to be contin.

  • I had my first OBE last night. Well almost. I could feel a very intense force 'sucking' my soul out. And I was so scared at that point that if I let this continue, I would die. So I used whatever strength I could and tried to counter the force.

  • I just had my first OOBE last night and it scared the crap out of me. Glad I'm not the only one having these sensations.

  • btw, i hav taken security guard licence classes & yesterday we was talkin bout handi-capped/ mental challenged... 4 som reason they list ppl who believe they hav OBE as mentally disturbed. i found that very offensive and untrue. im not crazy. OBE exists.

  • @smokey011987 I’m sorry to say I once met a young woman who had been on heavy medication for nine years because her OOBE was misdiagnosed as epilepsy.

  • @herbieB wow das crazy man. was she put off the meds? i'll b damned if som1 try dat shit wit me. ive heard supposedely epilepsy is a form of satanic possesion or sometin. idk if its true but havin an OOBE is not crazy at all. its real and far frum a mental disorder.las night som crazy shit happened 2 me. im kinda thinkin it had 2 do wit shit i was watchin on youtube yesterday, i was watchin alotta korn.slipknot music wit lyrics & also backwards lyrics. maybe i open som satanic gates 2 myself

  • @herbieB what happened was, i felt my cover like wrap around my leg, woke up wit the dog barkin like crazy. so i fell back asleep & woke up again bout a couple hours later screamin gaspin 4 air, jumped outta my bed 2 the door, had no control over it. im lookin back at my bed like wtf? stayed up 4 bout an hour prayin and put my cross necklace on and fell asleep wit da hallway light on. i was scared shitless. im kinda thinkin satan is tryin 2 lure me back in2 him cuz i once gave up my faith &

  • @herbieB was in2 alotta dark music & goth activity. i been believin back in god since i hit 17 and started goin back 2 church bout a couple months now so i guess satan is tryin 2 test me. btw, i forgot 2 mention las night wen this happened, i had rihana-s&m stuck in my head all night. very catchy song wit a beat u cant resist but i guess its very satanic cuz she is supposedely the queen of the illuminati

  • through my skin. im looking all around as im standin, everything looked normal, nothing was different besides my body. at that point, i'm realizin sometimes not normal, i looked back atr the couch cuz im thinkin im a spirit and my body died. well i look & got so freaked out that my eyes rolled back and i fainted falling back in2 my body. woke up in my regular body scared as shit sayiung '' like wtf just happened?'' som1 please explain 2 me y this happened and how did it happen?

  • wow dis is crazy. the guy didnt kno he was in an OBE. i had 1 once. a couple years ago but b4 it happened, i never heard of an OBE so i made a topic post in an online forum & every1 sayin its an OBE. what happened was i was sittin back watching tv, i was all alone, not drunk, not high, nothing. completely sober. i guess i fell asleep without knowin ( i wasnt even sleepy wen i was watchin tv, wierd) so i 'woke up' but felt different as if i was a spirit. my body felt kinda tingly & i could see

  • What if this is how ghosts become ghosts think about it someone had an out of body experience and never were able to get back into their body

  • I have had that happen to me several times after waking up while under the influence of cannabis

  • You should study some Scientology on the subject - I guess you will find a lot of answers if you do that

  • I really want to learn how to do this . but its just like my body wont get out . Every time i try to roll over, my real body rolls over & ruins it .

  • Mr. Herby B, i've recently been hearing my alarm go off and i get up and everything then i realise it isnt real could this be an oobe, its happened 3 or 4 times before i wake up for school. after i wake up in the "dream" which is wat i though it was, i immediatly wake up for real, check the time and notice its still early.when im in that state everything seems real but i dont see my body maybe its becuase i dont look.anyways could you please tell me what you think.

  • @aliaavrilhilarykelly Difficult to say for sure. It certainly could be an OOBE, but it might possibly be a form of lucid dream. Try to remember to look for a body on the bed. If it’s there, I’d suspect OOBE, although it’s obviously not proof positive.

  • @herbieB thanks by the way i love your books.ill be sure to check, another thing is that whenever this happens im usaully late for the bus, i thought it might be so i wake up earlir so i wouldnt be late, something subcontios, but how would my subcontios know that i'm going to be late? anyways thanks alot, and ya it might just be a dream

  • @herbieB Ya, fair game, I wouldn't say looking for a body is exclusive proof as one can exit into non local awareness. OBEs tend to be more stable, easier to remeber, more vivid, harder to manipulate and frequently occur in surrounds close to the setting. We are conducting an online experiement on the subject on my home site at mo if int?

  • Sounds more like an obe than a dream. When I have to pee, I may dream of completing the act but still feel full. Eventually the physical urge wakes me completely and I go do what I have to. This is not the same thing as what you have described. There was only one time in a very relaxed state that I had the experience that I was not in my body but along side of it. I didn't open my eyes, I think I was afraid of seeing a body with no spirit in it. Too much like looking at a corpse.

  • Hi HerbyB, I enjoy all your videos, I to am from Belfast. I hope you can answer my question. From an early age I have been hearing knocking on my bedroom door, this has happened in several different houses, and it is always 3 knocks..it wakes me up at night. Have you any idea what this is>? I have been told I am a medium and this is spirits trying to contact me. what do you think?

  • @SeasonViolet Might be spirits I suppose, but I think it’s more likely to be a hypnogogic phenomenon. That’s the in-between state you pass through on your way into or out of sleep. Voices calling your name, knocks and other aural hallucinations are quite common in this state.

  • Excuse me Mr.Herby B but i was wondering if I may contact you via email to ask you a few questions? I am very intrested in astral projection but I have some questions that I think you can answer.

  • @Joshashanna Sure. My email is herbie@eircom.net.

  • ive talked to other people who have astral projected and they said they saw demons or a shadowy figure, and also the movie "insidious" talks about astral projection and evil spirits although it is just a movie it still keeps me wondering.

  • i cant take him serious after he zoomed in the camera "for added effect"

  • i have only done this once , tried to do it again did not work :(

  • do you feel fear at all when you astral project?

  • @redskinslover123 I didn’t when I had my experiences. I think I might be more nervous now, but that would probably be anticipation more than anything else.

  • @herbieB im just asking because ive talked to other people who have had an out of body experience and they said they saw demons or a shadowy figure during their OBE and that struck me as rather creepy

  • @redskinslover123 I think it would strike me as creepy as well, but I’ve never had this type of experience.

  • if morphine want make you have a obe nothing will

  • poor guy. all he wanted to do was go pee and his body wouldn't go with him. xD

  • @bunnehsrus But I find that surprising that he could not do this with his astral body.

  • I can walk through walls and doors now. I didn't used to be able to do it but the more you get used to it the more you can do it. And by the way - I didn't take drugs atall. It's hapened to me since I was small. When I was younger it used to scare me but now I'm older it's so blissful and amazing.

  • Hahah! That's a funny situation!

*Goes to the bathroom, reaches for the equipment... -Oh shit, I left my body in bed again.* Like it's car keys or something, lol

  • That's so cool too, you gottah help me out man, Ive been tryna do it, when I used to wake up early and have to get ready, I would literally think I was getting ready for school then I would wake up and find out That I wasn't getting ready. Is it possible to send messages to other people while doing this?

  • Yep, I've been having these experiences since childhood. I can't make them happen, but I've learned to recognize when it is about to happen and I can just go with it and have some real fun with it when it happens. The weird thing about this experience is that when you're outside your body, you can move through time as well as space and solid objects. I can't decide on what time I want to move to, but I've noticed when passing through solids, I sometimes end up in a different time and place.

  • i beleive your story

  • The first time this happened to me, or at least the start of one i saw a black figure going inside my stomach and it kind of burned. Now, i have sleep paralysis almost every other night and i hear the vibrations but im to scared to follow through. I want it to stop happening. How do I stop it? Or if I can't stop it, I want to try following through, but im too scared. Will i be able to get back into my body? And if i "fall asleep" will i wake up inside my body?

  • @PinkyBerryILuvU your probably possessed :/ if you saw a black figure go into your stomach you should be worried when your out of your body other things try to get into your body that are unexplained.

  • I had a similar experience! I remember having to pee one night, and I astral projected trying to go to the bathroom. It was a while ago so i don't remember everything. I do however remember feeling the cold floor and feeling good physically. I didn't think about it nearly as much as you did when it happened. I just kept getting frustrated that i couldn't pee lmao. I eventually woke up, which was kind of scary. I remember it not being not incredibly vivid.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=HF15T30xCPc

I never believed in these, until it never happened to me.

  • i had this happened twice n before it happend my heart stops n i twitch a little it was like i died n my spirit hop out it felt like i was floating wit an invisible rubberband attach to my human body scary part i saw what to be a tall dark shadow

  • its funny what he seid lol

  • Ha ha...I'm not sure why, but when you zoom in for a close-up at around 5:40, it is REALLY creepy.

Great story, though. It made me laugh, too.

Would you have any tips for someone like me, who is trying to figure out how to induce an OBE?

Also, do you have any explanation for the fact that you could walk through solid doors and walls, and yet your feet were apparently able to make contact with the floor?

  • @monsieurmitosis There are lots of techniques on offer (Google OOBE) but the only one I found really reliable was hypnosis which can trigger OOBEs in good subjects. The catch is that you have to be a good (i.e. deep trance) subject. You also need to find an experienced and trustworthy hypnotist. I’ve been asked about the floor thing before and I’ve no idea why I could feel it, or indeed why I didn’t sink through it.

  • @monsieurmitosis drugs

  • @monsieurmitosis Your feet will touch the floor ONLY if you want them to touch the floor. Otherwise you can go through the floor and descend into other Dimensions. There is NO limit to what you can do in the spirit.

  • i am from Belfast aswell

i have had quite a few of these astral projections over the last few months

  • I heard your testimony on floating or out of body experiences...But what do you really know about what's really happening to those who has had this experiences?! I've experience such events! And so far I don't believe you truly know!! Be careful not to tamper with what you have no knowledge of!

  • I had several in my late teens e.20's. One time was so vivid I told my dad about.. I was scared to talk to him about it, but believe me the xprnce is so profound. I thought he would think I was on drugs, but he looked me right in the eye and said 'what time was this'. I told him and he said the dog jolted up and started barking towards my room and would not calm down. Talk about 3rd party 'validation'!. It's IS a real experience. 4 me, it was always accomp. by a loud static sound and paralysis.

  • very nice story! that makes me think how hard it was back then to get information on such rare matters comparing to how easy it is today with the internet...

  • Did you have increased strength or flexibility of any kind?

  • Also, i everytime i close my eyes i see something i've seen before but i forgot..

  • i was sleeping and i could see myself asleep and what time it was..

i don't know how but i'm sort of scared.

  • Herbie this is fascinating! Thanks so much for sharing your experience! I have been studying and experimenting with OBEs for the last year. I have not had something as lengthy as your experience in the bedroom, mine have been only seconds before I wake myself up, perhaps 10-15 seconds at best. Again, thanks for sharing!

  • mine happened, thinking about how all of existence is really inside the human mind, and it controls space/time. With my eyes closed i felt s surge of energy above and behind the eyes and down the spine, and I was having an OBE. They always happen with me struggling to move and with one eye shut, I made it to my bathroom and i snapped back into my body and woke up, but it was surely not a dream. pretty frighting

  • @xCmOn3yx777 the best way to describe it is the same way the humans link up to there avatars in the movie avatar

  • hi! nice video... i have had some obes lately. and i can literaly feel how my spiritual body comes out of the body. but sometimes i can't see anything. it's just black. but i can still fell how i keep floating around, but i can't see anything. can u tell me why?

  • @Alexhoglander No idea, I’m afraid. Haven’t come across this in the literature either. Anybody else care to comment?

  • @Alexhoglander

Don De Gracia devides/groups his OOBEs into 'episodes' and 'void'. 'Episodes' includes every experience where he is in a 'scenery' no matter which kind. The 'void' is what he decribes as being surrounded only by blackness, where there is nothing to see or to hear, etc.

Imagine a radio: You need the right fine adjustment to get a radio transmitter and hear it (these are the 'episoes'). Between them you only hear an audible hissing noise - that's like the 'void' while your OOBE

  • @Alexhoglander I have had this experience also. From what I have read the visual sense in an OBE comes from the intent to see. Not from the actual physical action. I've had a mix of experiences but have not been able to control this yet. Sometimes I see nothing or have poor vision though other times I have a clear vision as though it's waking reality. I tend to wake myself up accidentally before I can experiment to any deeper level though. Trying willing yourself to see.

  • @Alexhoglander Thought I might comment. This has come up frequently in my circle of information and I have experienced this slightly myself. The solution it seems ( although altered states are not the most consistent of occurences :) ) is to demand clarity such as an affirmation like "clarity now", which ofcourse you are only telling yourself. You must realise that only you are preventing yourself from perceiving "vision" in this state and that you are not using your physical eyes in this state..

  • @Alexhoglander ..and as such you are not seeing anything anymore per se, but are sensing everything in much more vivid detail through other means. The swap of consciousness must be acknowledged to properly regain lucidity and "vision"in these states, affirmations are just one way.

To sort of contradict myself here, another very common consensus is to vacate the immediate vicinity of your body and most likley room, this in a lot of cases seems to stop the blanketing of "vision" for the explorer..

  • @Alexhoglander im glad to have come across your post, i have the same problem, i used to have full obes, but nowadays cant see when i project. send me a message if you wanna talk about it.

  • @Alexhoglander

Try remembering to float through your roof and out of your room to the outside. You should be able to feel yourself go through the roof and once you get outside you may be able to see. I had one a couple of weeks ago and this was the case. I felt myself pop out of my body and I made myself go upwards. At first i couldn't see anything, but once i was outside i could see my street lit by the street lights and I just flew about for a bit. An amazing feeling

  • @Alexhoglander

If it happens again, try and remember to attempt to float through your roof, to the outside. Once your out there you will be able to see. this happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't see anyhting once i popped out, but i knew I was in my room. I floated up, felt myself go through the roof, then once I was outside I could see my neighborhood lit by the street lights. I just floated about for a bit- quite amazing

  • @Alexhoglander ikr i have the exact same thing you have

  • @Alexhoglander

    Hi,

I've heard of some other people being in a black void, only usually it's due to a Near Death Experience. Ian McCormack's NDE is easily found if you want to hear what he said about it.

It may remain mystery, but good luck in finding out more.

  • @Alexhoglander From a book I have read, you need to verbally or mentally, demand your awareness/consciousness, in a calm way. A phrase like "Clarity Now!" or "Awareness Now!" should work.

  • @Alexhoglander i know what that is its got something to do with how you enter out of the body if you come out too quick youll lose some of your senses touch feel hearing ect search lucidology 101 its a channel on youtube its really helpful he covers everything.

  • very slooooooow story but interesting.

  • @TheRabcnesbit no one asked for your nasty opinion. lowlife.

  • attention seeker

  • Trust in Jesus

  • Interesting new insights into out-of-body-experience (OOBE) by my old friend Tony Peake in the current Paranormal magazine (on sale in U.K. and U.S.) Worth a look in advance of his book on the subject due for release towards the end of 2011.

  • CONT'D I then heard a voice that said, "Go back to your body. It is not your time yet." I looked back and saw my body lying on the bed. I went back. Then I lie in the bed thinking, OMG, that was amazing!!! I had never taken any kind of drugs, nor any alcohol. Nor am I delusional. People need to realize they DO indeed have a spirit within, even if they have never had an experience like this.

Also, thanks herbieB for sharing this awesome video! Hopefully it will help many people!!
