  • Is the school really like this video? I'm not looking or some cheezy place full of plastic people. What is the psychotherapy school like?

  • @wrightstateboy45, I am one of the too few American students who study full-time at EBSL, the "snob school" of Regent's College. I know it's been 5 months since you posted, but maybe this can help. If you study abroad here, you will love it, you will be taken care of by the administration and you will get that European culture you are craving (this coming from an avid conservative, lol). Don't be worried about the snobs; I havn't met that many 8]

  • I went there for a full year, and yeah, that's true, most people there have LOTS OF MONEY. , ome of them are real assholes, showing the money their parents made, but some of them are great people and I made great frienship there even though we weren't from the same wealth class. Best year of my life, London is such an amazing city

  • i'm an american student and i really want to study abroad in london through the ASA program which hosts students at Regent's College. Are people at this school nice? I'm a really nice person and not your sterotypical ignorant american. I'm very liberal and find the european lifestyle sooooo refreshing from amercian life. I just want to fit in and be able to make friends.

  • £12000+ to study here. bloody expensive

  • It's a private university, so what do you expect. No government funding. So where do you think they get the money from :D Us !!!

  • anytime. They make it seem like this school is big and prestigious. Its definetly not. I mean its good in a small way, but majority of Regents American College students are study abroad so they come and go, im not sure which school at Regents you are applying, but EBS and RBS are all european. There is only 1 american student there. Plus the Wifi is horrible, not to mention the food is bad, unless you like curry and weird looking salsa with rice lol. But London is awesome. Glad to help = )

  • What house offers the best wifi ??? The food will make a hell lot of difference..

  • Well the first floor of Reid Hall has descent wifi. I was lucky enough to have a room near a router. But they are remodeling Reid Hall and the rooms look amazing. Supposibly they are going to expand their wifi to the other 3 floors. But it sucks either way, because its such a hassle to connect your laptop to the wifi because of Regents' "security programs". It may say its connected, but you won be able to connect to the site. Their IT staff wont even help.

  • I'm applying there right now!!! aww looks like a amazing school i really hope i get accepted and fulfil my dream on going there.

  • well they are remodeling Reids Hall. It really looks like a hotel once they finish. But one warning, the school is divided into 4 schools. If you are american, the eastern europeans that go to EBS and RBS hate us. Its not an american friendly school. Im here in Regents now for study abroad semester. Its an awesome place in central london, but you will be surrounded by stuck up european people wearing Prada and flaunting their money at you.

  • oh...well thanks for the heads up but thats if i get accepted though :) but thanks for the heads up really appreciate it

  • you are correct regarding four different colleges within the building.. but as long as you respect other cultures, the EBS students will have not have an issue with you.. the only issues we had are mostly due to arrogant americans.

  • i never said "All" of EBS students. There are quite a few that its easy not to notice. When professors admit to that there is a problem, then there is a problem. When the majority of these students pay someone to write their papers, then its a problem, dont you think? Alot of americans are arrogant, but attitudes are no different to Europeans.

  • Concerning "European people wearing Prada and flaunting their money at you." - So that are the basic classifications at EBSL ? Snob or Flop ? Is it seriously that bad ?

  • The education that you get at that school is pretty good. The school is centered in London, and I think you will love it. I loved it definitly. But yes there is some of classifications going on. We Americans tend to dress more casual and comfortable looking, but some of the EBS students do not know how to suck up their pride and shut up. I wish I could send you a copy of last semester's school newspaper. They seriously interviewed a dozen american and european students in that school ....

  • @nymarine21 lol well americans do generally dress like shit....

  • @chillercm Maybe.. or maybe not... it all depends on where you were raised really. Quite a difference between someone who raised in the hamptons and someone who was raised in Miami. Thats the unique part about Americans. No two individuals are alike.

  • Lets just say, that if you take a lunch break during the Regents' most busiest time of day and you cant find a seat, look around and see that quite a few girls reserve their seats for their friends Prada, Coach, and Gucci. There were instances where they block the door and refuse to move because you are "American". Its redicilious. But at the same time, you will make alot of friends, just dont pay any attention to the snobs.

  • I don't think I will face difficulties dealing with snobs, since some of my friends from high school also enrolled in classes at Regent's. Thank you for your detailed response. The world is lacking helpful people :D

  • Thats good =) London is amazing, and you can travel to other countries pretty easily too. You wont want to come back. Im planning on visiting again lol
