  • i like the idea , and if cornette is behind it it cant be too horrible..i just wish they never exposed wrestling in he first place..and that vince didnt kill it with gimmicks and divas..what made me stop watching wrestling was when nwo killed wcw.. tey need to go back to being tough instead of all the fancy stuff

  • @arlichar11 ROH is implementing TRUE WRESTLING.

  • cornette is the greatest mind in wrestling to me. very honest.

  • you gotta be kidding me TV Championship

    VERY ORIGINAL Cornette

  • this will be the next rising promotion to compete with wwe and tna!!

  • How can anyone trust Jim Cornette? HE jumps from wrestling organization like a bunny rabit.

  • @BullnBearAnalytics He gets fed up and leaves when they don't listen to his ideas.

  • I'm goin to a tv taping this Sat! if it doesnt snow too much cant wait!!

  • ROH T.V. title >>>>>> TNA Global title

  • YESS!!! Finally ROH is coming to NC!! I am there!

  • Go, Jim, Go!

I've bought 3 ROH DVD's in support of ROH in 2010, and in support of your edict.

WWE and TNA are alright. But ROH is where it's at.

    Come back to Texas!!!

  • soooo glad roh is getting a TV Title...finally

  • While I'm all in for a second title, similar to the Pure title or whatever, but why reup the tv title? Yes it's NWAish, but with them scaling back on there live events, you got to plug the tv show more somehow.

  • wrestlers go to WWE to make money to support their families. Nothing against them or WWE, but the WWE today sucks...period.. Only reason why some people are watching it now is bc Wrestlemania is a few months away...Therefore the storyline are going to be a little better....You got Shawn/Undertaker feud and Bret Hart/Vince possible feud...Also Royal Rumble..After Wrestlemania, WWE will be shitty again

  • Well actually, not quite, because Backlash usually is a good quality PPV, but after Backlash, it's usually downhill from there

  • TV Title?? How....NWA-ish

  • Is that a bad thing?

  • The quality of ROH has gone down considerably since Sapolsky left. If i heard right NWA is making ROH into NWA programming and they started with having Pearce as booker.

Now Cornette, NWA type gimmicks with the 3 judges and now a TV title.

Quite honestly im Anti-NWA. Cornette is a great mind so hopefully he will turn it around.

  • @dvsmike tv title is perfect it will give the mid carders of roh something to do before and it will give them tv time wich means they can get over better to the casual audience who arent online wrestling fans

  • Yeah I hear ya, I really honestly hope it works but if the NWA has fingers on it...its likely to crash and burn

  • Meh, NWA-ish > WWE-ish

  • thumbs down to either. I dont even watch WWE anymore..cant stomach it. Hogan is fucking up TNA.. I stick to Japan and Indy stuff.

  • wwe vs tna vs roh could be interesting.

  • i'll give you result on that vince buys everything and then theres only bullshit wrestling left...thats how it went last time with wcw and ecw...WWE IS POISON FOR PROWRESTLING!!!

  • IF WWE is such poison, then why did CM Punk and other wrestlers from ROH go to WWE? Nobody forced them nor put a gun to their heads. i understand your frustration w/ Vince because he's not presenting Wrestling that YOU LIKE. I'm not arguing with you, but I really have an issue w/ fans that get so overly emotional with something that's Athletic, as well as Entertaining...yet it's pre-determined!!

I like all forms of wrestling....yet I recognize they can't be the same.

    I'm just sayin'...

  • Ummmmmmmmm, More Money, that;s why, nothing more, nothing less

  • @KARHU3OLUT As Mick Foley and CM Punk once said in a segment from a long forgotten ROH show,

"Hey, at least it's not TNA"

  • its like the 2nd monday night wars, WWE-WWF

    TNA-WCW

ROH-ECW...but if roh and tna get bought...vince...you'd better hide..

  • @reymysterios9 Hey at least if that ever happened there'd still be an ROH brand!

  • ya but look at ecw...vince bought it, watered it down, fucked it, spit it out, got rid of the originals, burned it, and now hes about to kill it...fuck vince roh doesnt deserve that

  • tv title . . . hell yeah

  • A TV Title in ROH just sounds awesome! It makes a lot of sense since there are rare ROH World Title matches on ROH on HDNet and if you dont live in that area, its hard to see a title match. With the TV Title, were guaranteed a title match every single week! Great news!

  • ok there are way to many titles in wrestling to keep up with..

  • Comment removed

  • Alright, A TV Championship, for Ring of Honor, Thanks Cornette, Ring of Honor is gonna be awesome for this year.

  • A TV title for ROH! Now you're talking!

  • Anyone watching this - please give RoH a chance. I just keep coming back to it after continuos cycles of being disgusted by WWE's kiddie booking, and TNA's migraine inducing booking. RoH simply has some amazing talent, SIMPLE, LOGICAL booking, and they really care about the honor and pride of the business. They care about the fans. They deserve your time and money!

  • Davey 4 TV Champ

  • Fuck that: Davey for World Chamoion....Kevin Steen for TV

  • I've got a question Jim, why is ROH just a bunch of default CAWS and lariats?

  • And when was the last time Austin Aries even did a lariat?

  • I prefer the Pure title than a TV title but this is much needed. Also a show on regular TV would be better. I have no option to get HDnet

  • ROH is making changes for the better, TNA is making changes for the worse

  • Watch it, cast member, LOL

  • @wwetnasux was that even necessary, I just praised ROH over TNA, and you have to post a stupid comment like that "Watch it, cast member, LOL", grow up geek

  • Really, you can't take a joke or sarcasm?

In the words of the late Heath Ledger

    WHY SO SERIOUS?

  • ROH needs a secondary title. About time they introduce one

  • they did have one but it combined to the world one

  • I'm aware of the Pure Title, I meant it was time to bring in another secondary belt

  • ROH Totally rocks ROH the future of pro wrestling ROH forever

  • this NEEDS to be more assessable

  • ROH forever

  • TNA's "rebirth" has bombed so hard in my mind. It's back to giving RoH another shot. They really do have an amazingly athletic roster, even after losing danielson, mcguiness, and daniels. They'll just make new, young stars. Can you say the same about WWE or TNA?

  • Dont know about WWE, but for TNA, AJ Styles,Alex Shelley, Amazing Red,Brutus Magnus,Chris Sabin,Consequences Creed,D'angelo Dinero,Daniels, Desmond Wolfe, Eric Young, Hernandez, Homicide, Jay Lethal, James Storm, Jesse Neal, Doug Williams, Abyss, Matt Morgan, Rhino, Robert Roode, Samoa Joe, Suicide, Tomko, Young Bucks. This seems like a pretty impressive list of guys under the age of 40 to me that are athletic, and can go in the ring. Too bad Hogan will bury half of them in favor of his friends

  • Yea, and you know what? The Machine Guns were chosen to job to GenMe. Amazing Red has no character. Hogan said he wants to "breathe life" into characters, well, maybe do what you said you're going to do with Red? D'Angelo is awesome, no complaints there. But it's all pointless. They DO have some great talent, but they're under utilized. The booking makes no sense (Daniels ridiculous heel comments on the crowd before his Morley match. If he's defending quality wrestling, why is he the heel!?

  • They are just not used right. The booking is the problem on TNA, it ALWAYS HAS BEEN, and nothing has changed. Why the @#$(! do I want to see sean waltman, or scott hall the drunk, or sean morley, or the nasty boys. Oh wait I DONT. I want to see the MaGuns. I want to see the x division. I want to see daniels. I want to see wolfe. I want to see dinero. But I can't see them. Because I have to see this shit every thursday and ppv. I have given TNA so many chances. I have nothing left.

  • TNA is going in the wrong direction to be honest with you, ever since 1/4, they have done nothing but piss me off as a TNA fan & supporter. Im not a TNA mark, dont let my username fool you, I just tell it like it is, I will not give up on TNA this easily, but if they continue to disappoint me, I might just have to

  • It hasn't even been 1 month. How do you expect him to breathe characters into life when there's only been 1 TNA impact show since 1/4 and 1 PPV? TNA fans are so scared of change. It's ridiculous. Hogan got TNA damn near a 2.0 rating. Give the experiment a chance.

  • @kob456 Ratings don't mean a thing if you have to sell you soul, in a pro wrestling buisness thier heart and soul are the fans, the minute you stop caring about what your fans want the minute your promotions running to the ground. Change can be a good thing if bad qualities are changed for the better but what has changed positively for TNA. The booking has gotten even more zany and the entire company has become a ratings ploy, always teasing but never delivering.

  • When did TNA ever sell out their fans? TNA never said they didn't care about their fans. And if your theory is correct, then WWE would've fallen down to the ground a long time ago because Vince McMahon doesn't cater to the audience. He gives them what he feels is best and shoves it down people's throats and give them a love it or leave it option. As for TNA's booking, the booking has been bad ever since Jarrett decided on rehiring Russo since 2006. Cant really blame Hogan for that.

  • @kob456 But Hogan hasn't changed any for the better. TNA doesn't provide any alternative to WWE. I don't care what WWE does I wish TNA would focus on themselves. Back when they didn't care about competition they provided some of the best wrestling and entertainment on the planet. Now they insult WWE for the same things they do wrong.

And just because WWE doesn't cater to us internet fans doesn't mean they sold out. We are the small minority. Most fans love Cena and HHH

  • Hogan has only been in TNA for about 3 shows since he came. Why don't you give the man and his regime time for storylines & characters to play out b4 rushing to judgment? U may not like TNA now but they're getting more viewers every week and that means something. Hogan has helped introduce new fans to the product and that is important. And you're right, WWE hasn't sold out. They've just never given a shit about fans and give people like Sheamus who have done absolutley nothing the title.

  • The only character hes changed significantly is AJ styles. AJ was over with the crowds and is probably their most popular home grown talent, yet they've turned him into a heel? everything else is still the same apart from the fact they've potentially lost one of their most recognizable stars in Awesome Kong so a friend of Hogans can have a job. Jay Lethals future is up in the air but Orlando Jordan and Val Venis have jobs. The Nasty Boys? At least before it was shit with some hope.

  • So after 3 shows in the new regime without even seeing the other shows, you assume it's no hope?

  • So far they've hired a terrible back stage interviewer (who so far has generated 3 negative stories and potentially lost them Kong) hired the Nasty Boys, Hall and X-Pac, and the first wrestler they changed was one that was already over.

Ive been waiting for TNA to finally come together for the last 5 years. Every time they get to the point of being something new or interesting they just go back to whats already been established. I cant bring myself to care anymore.

  • I know what you mean man. Trust me, I get frustrated with TNA as well but people are jumping on them a little bit too quick. Only 3 Impacts have passed with the new regime. Give them about 6 months or so before coming to judgment because you don't know what's down the line.

  • glad theres a new midcard title on the way. a TV title works for the one hour show.

  • i need to give roh a chance i havent really

    paid attention to it

  • I'm always torn with TV titles; on the one hand they're a great lower-to-midcard title and makes every tv event that much more exciting, but at the same time a TV title can be shotgunned so easily and lose all meaning. I think ROH is smart enough to protect it, but only time will tell.

  • I looooooooove the idea of a TV Title in ROH. The fans have been asking for it for a couple of years now and they get there wish.

  • Sorry, I meant to mark it as *****, and I marked it as * because I was pissed at a vid I saw before it (one of the infamous TNA "cast member" vids)

  • I love the idea of a TV title. You need a secondary title to use as a stepping stone to the heavyweight strap. It's the equivalent of the WWE Intercontinental or US title. I think the ECW brand should add a TV title as well, but i hear rumors the E is going to kill off the brand anyway.

  • alright! the 21st century!

We have that to look forward to.

  • 2010 is gonna be a great year for wrestling, I may just have to pay more attention to ROH.

  • Oh wow ROH TV title that not bad idea so if tournament did well. That means ROH be three titles ROH title, ROH tag team titles and ROH TV title.

Keep up good work Jim boy and ROH!

  • IM FUCKING LOVING THAT TV Title tournament

  • Well if anything, they should had just brought back the ROH Pure title instead. TV title sounds kind of off (and like ECW as far as TV title's goes). I understand how it was unified and all but it's better than making a new title.

  • its a TV title, its nothing new, nothing old and nothing wrong with it

  • Pure Title ran its course and became too gimmicky after a while.

  • A TV Title is kind of risky. For it to work and have any value, the World Title pretty much has to be defended only on PPV and big events.

  • not really you just need to demonstrate its importance in a way that doesn't detract from the World Title, how often its defended doesn't have much to do with it, more who its defended again.

  • Good! I'am happy to see a new title come into play with ROH!

I'am also glad they are jumping around even more in the U.S., now if they would only come to Ky.

  • i will be at the Big Bang event and I cant wait for the tv title tournament!!!

  • ROH TV title..it's about time. I've been waiting for a company on a national scale to have a tv title again. Preferably ROH..where it'll be treated as a valuable title and not a prop like those other 2 companies.

  • I've always admired Jim, glad he's in RoH now

  • YES!! can't wait to see who wins this one.

Please let Cabana win the new TV Title.

    ROH ...ROH ...ROH!

    10/10

  • I hope ROH keeps the TV title only on TV and the world title on PPV/Live shows, and they should have the TV title defended on EVERY TV show, but that'd be hard since they film 4 episodes in one day

  • wuuhu yeah another tittle (:

  • finally a third title again

  • Excellent idea to introduce a secondary title. Looking forward to that.

  • Mr. C - Gotta say, I'm looking forward to 2010, thanks to ROH.
