yes it is watch the full opening and you will see he does a kong vault a speed vault and i think he does the roll technique at one point

ye, but if u have some object like a car or a trash cant, its just easier to simply run around it, than vault over it. Because of that, the vaults are one of the less important parkour techniques

Chase scenes have been around long before parkour, if this involved a move that was invented FOR PARKOUR SPECIFIALLY, then I would consider it pk. I know absolutly what parkour is.

though i dont agree with jakingofw, i think hes referring to the fact that it is parkour simply because this guy was using efficient movements... although he wasnt. i dont see how it was necessary or an energy saver or time saver to dive roll up stairs, or tic tac on a wall when you could just turn the corner

Good point man. I hate it when people call stuff parkour when it's just a roll, or jump or something. Especially if it's in a movie. Just because they do something that looks like a vault doesn't mean it's pk, especially if it's shown for just one second

thats because it IS Parkour. there is no such thing as a Parkour specific movement. Even running is Parkour if it is the fastest way to get from A to B in that situation. The name doesn't matter, it just helps us identify the move. I dont undertand the peopl that are saying "OMG that wasn't a real vault, its not parkour!!!!"

It's not some transcendental name to throw around and apply to any movement, efficient or now. It's way of moving, sure. But there has to be purpose behind it. I doubt the guy performing was thinking "hey I'm doing stuff in this super commercialized Hollywood environment: parkour!"

At that point it's just applying a label. Ask yourself why you're applying the name, and be careful in throwing it around. A short hollywood chase scene with about 1 full seconds screentimes worth of stunts is not parkour

Ill say it for the last time, chase scenes have always been around, and they have been using moves like tic tacs and rolls BEFORE parkour was invented. I used to jump off walls when I was a little kid. Now, If there was a vault like dash, or kong, that was made by traceurs, I would consider it pk
