The biggest problem is that the stereotypes for transgender people are so horrible and there are very few positive faces in the media to counter it. That image of Buffalo Bill in the mirror will forever haunt us. Transgender are ALWAYS portrayed as freaks, perverts, comic relief, mentally ill, prostitutes or murders. Where are the Trans office workers, paramedics, nurses, ect? This gotta stop.
You are 100% right. I'm a transgender and I do not look like a guy at all. If I were to walk into the mens room now, it would cause a lot more problems. I'm not going to go in there and molest anyone, I just want to try on the jeans before I buy them. I'm not going to hurt anyone in the bathroom, I just want pee. The truth is that most transgender people wouldn't think of hurting anyone. It would draw attention to us we all know how bad that can get. Thanks for the video and the support!
