  • Hi from Portugal. Thanks for sharing this piece of great music!

  • I'm amazed that Jay let the guitar player play that long of a solo.

  • Epa Boricua, I been Spyro fan since I was 18 and I been looking to acquire any of the group DVD concerts, any clue if exist @ least one? could you tell me where to buy it?

    Appreciate!

    Gus

  • SOUL!

  • bring back good ol memories

  • and I JIZZED IN MY PANTS

  • They need to build a young fan base. I'm 14 and I love 'em. Modern Jazzis the only type of quality music left besides modern blues that no one's heard of. Hear that record companies? There's more of us.

  • i agree with you..i started to love jazz at about 12 years of age..try listen to jake shimabukuro..a very godd ukulele player..

  • its good to hear that there are young fan base to this music genre. longlive smooth jazz

  • that is probably the best arrangement of that song i've ever heard. thanks for sharing that!

  • Oh how this brings back time. I loved them then and now I love em again. I do wonder if they still play together. This is what turned me onto jazz so long ago.Thank you for sharing.

  • They do actually play together again!

There`s a great new album out in 2008!

But I don't no whether they are the same musicians.

    Great song btw!!:)

  • yes they are same musicians just one changed, the drummer, but new one is awesome too! Their new album Down the Wire is the great and so is Good to go-go but Down the wire is the most recent one.

  • The altosaxophoneplayer playing very beautiful! :-D. I have a musicalinstrument which I´ve builded by myself, it´s a kind of a clarinet and a saxophone made by a plastic pipe with a nozzle from a clarinet. You can take a look on my youtubeside: ZEG8704 if you´re intresting. Just search on "My 1:st invention" ;-)

  • Yes very cool, thanks for that!

  • Fantastic!

  • Thank MB for sharing...boricuajazz8 nice post!

  • check out Gerardo Velez at 7:19 doing a Michael Jackson impression - lol

  • awesome!

  • Tom is the SHIT!!! :)

  • Im so glad you posted this. This is one of my favorite songs! It really makes me feel happy.

  • Dear boricuajazzz8,

thank you soo eternally much for this fantastic post. Too bad the quality is poor alas something better than nothing. I have never seen this clip of the band or this track from the 80's?

It's a GREAT track along with Morning Dance, ARIANA, J-Squared, City Kids, Serpent in Paradise, Heliopolis that I love soo much & can never get enough of playing over & over.

I am self learning/playing an Alto Sax & it was thanks to tracks like this 1. If U have more BRING THEM ON!

  • Thank you my friend for stopping by my channel.

  • I love this tune & this group, I just can't stand it when they get pout on those awful "smooth jazz" radio stations. Spryo Gyra kinda continued on developing the brass esemble spound we'd heard previously from bands like Chicago, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Tower of Power and Average White Band. Man, such a good marimba solo!

  • thank you for the visit.

  • Jay is a monster musician.

  • Yes he is.

  • Weeehaaa summer night in Panglao island Bohol listening to this music with a full moon bright and the tide is high and soooo am i... what a music by Spyro to jam along... miss those college day out with my friends!!!

  • My father loves Spyro Gyra, every party at home always ended with this music on air...after awhile I got to like their music as well.

  • Excellent musical group!

  • This is a fun piece to play

  • Thanks for the visit.

  • This IS Catchin' the Sun dude...the opening sax riff is unmistakable and they are from different albums.

  • I know bro', thanks anyway...

  • Spyro Gyra is so great! But Jay really is a god. Btw, this is not Morning Dance, this is Catchin' The Sun.

  • Thanks for the info it was late when I uploaded the video clip...
