I like Gen 1, because that's where I started. I had good memories. I still have one or two of my old ponies! As for Gen 2, I didn't even know it existed.

Gen 3... um... well, I won't lie, it wasn't bad, but the cartoons for it were awful. Take this one for instance: seriously, what was wrong with Toola Roola asking the guests which plates were theirs? Each pony knew which plates belonged to them! What was the point of the nametags?

I also like how G2 kinda started the trend of there being many different ways to be a girl(even if, like CR said, all roads led to boys and makeovers). So, to me, G4 is kinda like the best parts of G1 and G2, some of the characters from G3, and then all mashed up with some Powerpuff Girls. :D

Toola Roola makes them places cards with their cutie marks on them so they can tell whose plate is whom. Uhm... Kinda defeats the purpose of having personal plates but okay.
