Logging in a little snow is actually preferred. It makes the wood skid easier, and there's less dirt on the wood so saw blades last longer. Plus, the ground is a lot firmer in winter.
The saw recovery speed seems better on this than on the Cat and Deere equivalents. Also, the machine seems to have exceptional power & speed for the various functions, track drives, swing, booms etc. I like it.
Of course, the operator has a lot to do with it, and this guy is good..
Big head on that puppy. I run a tigercat 822C in the North Maine Woods. Very reliable machine.

@effinghamhick Actually The timberking is a Cat...... Nice machine but the head is way to big for the carrier.... made for a lot of boom issues

Before these machines and before chainsaws they had to do all this by hand using saws and horses.
