I have Enchanted Pack, but I don't have MCPatcher, so red bricks and fire don't work. I tried Doku, and I needed MCPatcher for that too because the water and pumpkins didn't work.

If you folow the pattern (a market in the middle, barracks around it and then houses and the rest) you'll do a great job!

Curious though. Do you still have the insomnia problem? Whenever you had it I remember you building these kinds of projects on the old server and the like.

For ideas though I think you should take a look at Assassins Creed for ideas. They have some of the coolest architecture in any game I have played.

You wanted a water feature, maybe you could do like a water channel round the edge of the edge of the mosaic. And where the paths break the water channel you could try replicate a spring or pump of some sort which is where the water for the channels would originate? Not sure how water reacts with half blocks, but you could put a half block with a full block behind with the water in between. Alternatively you could place a half block before, then a full block, then sink a block for the water.

As it is roman time, you will ofcourse not just work on the interior of the town, but outside the walls, as they have stuff like merchants and what not, little monuments outside.

Also yea, maybe some roman statues, of a warrior?

You should build a colloseum (Duh) And a statue on a mountain of a roman god which overlooks the city. Coolio. Also i recommened you get the voxel sniper plugin for your server to terraform land simply and easily.

I was always partial to the pantheon, I've built it twice look up jswizzy84 on planetminecraft. Another building that would be awesome would be two Insulae across from each other, a triumph arch and of course a coliseum/gladiator arena.
