Capitalism. is the wage slavery of working class in a politically manipulated tyrannical MARKET SYSTEM OF ARTIFICIAL scarcity and distortions, to perpetuate the wage-slavery/exploitation in the interest of the OWNING/RULING CLASS. Since capitalism was "invented" centuries ago, the goal of each capitalist country was to get more rich than the others by international commerce. That is the "standard capitalism" and while it respect some rules, it can hurt no one.
But then there is USA capitalism and what their companies do ecnonomicaly to poor countries made them worse and it brings war to them. Please americans, if you rly dont want ot be the "bad guys", inform yourself about what "neo-colonism" means and protest against it
The world is full of many evil, sick fucks that deserve to be burned at the stake. I always knew that the Iraq war was about the Oil. Am I saying 9/11 was planned? No. I think the government was just hoping that the terrorists would attack back soon so that they could have another reason to take their oil.
I am proud to be an American. American citizens are good people. However, I only use the word "citizen" to represent the average person, not the people in control.
I hate American politics and corporations. All they do is want money and control. They are tyrants. They don't care about anyone but themselves and don't care if other countries have to perish for our benifit.
I wish the world never came to this. People don't care about others anymore. It's saddening.
@LooksBoss The American people are deeply disturbed. They glorify violence in movies, and video games. Americans flock to the movie theaters to see such horrific films as SAW and HOSTEL. Americans get a deep satisfaction from watching blood-curdling atrocities being carried out on screen. Most Americans turn the other way when their gov't does something horrible. They are obsessed with consumerism, materialism. It really is a satanic society.

@baudiirocz well, government yes, but corporations more. His point is that when married, government (with the support of military) and corporations (money and natural resource extraction) can do some pretty messed up things to our world.
Actually if you read the books that he has written you would know that he discusses the problems and corruption that the American Corporations have bestowed on victims of the Aids virus very thoroughly. You should read his books before coming to conclusions about people. Try to think more dynamically than linear. Linear thinking never leads to improvement in any way.
Rather depressing, but oversimplistic. A FEW do benefit by trickle down of overseas innovation. The US still dominates the world in donated food, and weapons.
COUNTRY/AID as % GNP Sweden 1.03 Norway .89 Denmark .8 Ireland .53 UK .52 Austria .48 France .47 Germany .36 Spain .32 Australia .3 Canada .3 Japan .25 Italy .2 USA .17 <-- Greece .16
What a story, his eyes opened only after some Americans died. when he helped to kill millions of others while straggling with himself he didn't have enough courage. Thats how American ignorant mentality works: as long as i get my good life style, screw the rest but when i get pinched I drop bombs on aggressors or i start paying attention to the expense of my life style.
Uh...imperialism consists of looting another countries resources, so really people there may have slightly better lives (questionable), but they will live in misery forever. Many of these places had a rural agricultural self-serving community; they needn't be tied into these factories, where rights don't exist, and they have to depend on the depreciating dollar.
"An inalienable right cannot be granted by human power."
"'necessity is the mother of invention'"
Again, I believe that human understanding leads us to recognize and implement rights. Universal suffrage, workplace conditions, belief that companies are an integral part of society and therefore, must be responsible in money matters. As for the necessity statement, Marx said that people at subsistence, impoverished levels cannot rise to intellectual bounds.
The survival mentality creates a society bent on self-service and inevitable greed. Belief that somehow a more limited economic system would prohibit innovation is absurd: most people become engineers because they like innovation and science, not primarily for money--this takes out the survival specification. And who says they won't be paid fairly?
Understand that international business folks want these products produced so cheaply so they can make so much profit and live the extravagant livestyle they desire.Joe in america gets his cheap value priced shirt and shoes hurray! All folks deserve a living wage. But billions are not getting theirs.
I have read Perkin's book, and it is a very good story. However, all 'evidence' is anecdotal, and the book has a very contrived tone. Most empirical evidence suggests globalization, free trade, and foreign investment improves the lives of the poor in foreign countries. Read "Naked Economics" by Charles Wheelan, it's a great book.
those kids shouldn't be sewing shoes..., period. the fact that they have to WORK for the shelter which was their inalienable human right in the first place, doesn't really speak for capitalistic accountability.
I know yet some argue and dont get me wrong here that with out that structure they would even have the little they have.Sad that those oppressors who understand investing couldnt invest some in educating those they are oppressing. But just like old times they may lose control if they did that,so really they are slaves too their ideology too.
How could shelter be an unalienable right? Who would pay to provide everyone with this "right"? You? If everyone had a right to shelter, the incentive to work would decrease. After all, why produce anything if everything will be handed to you. Those who work the most will subsidize those who work the least. This would, indeed, be a very poor system.
This emphasis on rights is ridiculous; people should have better lives; if people need something, why not provide it. In long term, people with basic necessities will rise to be productive citizens, rather than lazy bums who can't see any chance at success. Curiosity and neccesity is the greatest driver of innovation, not survival.
No, "Necessity is the mother of invention". I am talking economics, not morality. Those who produce the most must be rewarded the most, and the converse is also true. You will reduce the incentive to produce if you provide basic necessities "free" of charge. Not to mention all the dead weight loss associated with the massive taxation that would accompany such a project; you would also discourage those who produce and, therefore, produce less than before.
I disagree; that theory keeps people in a cycle of poverty, and poverty is a waste of potential; the survival of the fittest mentality only creates a rift between class, and as for how much a person deserves, since it is up to them to decide their price, there is no control on how much profit they can make under the current system.
I almost forgot to mention the most fundamental flaw in your statement. An inalienable right cannot be granted by human power. No matter what resources you have on hand you always retain your inalienable rights (life, liberty, ect.). You can no more have an inalienable right to shelter than you can a TV. You may also believe that rights are granted by the state, so therefore there is no such thing as an inalienable right!
Inalienable rights are in fact granted by the people who live alongside you; it is an intimate understanding. Governments in the past have denied life and shelter to people. The worth of a right is only in its execution. You have the right to be free, but what does that matter if you're enslaved. Human understanding frees us; the guy next to you is another part of you.
I agree with that. I had to remove the section on social contract i my last post because was too long. No the less, this means that no innate and fundamental rights exist.
You are assuming that these children have better opportunities to earn a living. This simply is not true. If better opportunities existed they would take them. According to the Institute of International Economics, wages paid to workers in American "Sweat Shops" are twice the amount paid to their fellow country men for similar work in domestic sweat shops. These are good jobs, which provide people with higher standards of living than they otherwise could have had.
Many people in third world countries work in deplorable conditions and are kept in such conditions by corporations and government. Most of such countries have a corrupt government lined with money from corporations.
Did you ever notice that the most developed nations like USA etc., are also the cleanest and environmentally safest nations as opposed to Communist like China etc.?
I found that you are basically an anti-Americanist. You should thank this great nation for granting you the right to speak freely. Keep up the good work! You are recruiting many America haters. People with idol time and utopian ideas about how governments can remold the human heart are a threat to our way of life.
There is huge corporate presence in our societies now, and not in terms of producing products at fair prices, and redistribution of wealth; corporations now are greedy beasts bent on controlling people's minds. I believe that the United States economy is close to collapse because of this near-sighted profit base. The dollar is decreasing, and as for the family values, and working hard-these workers are completely ignored.
