I am into the Halen-Ratt..70"s-80"s crunch tones so kinda hard to tell? they pretty much sound the same to me.that low end chuging just all ends up sounding the same.I have owned a Krankenstein, and played an Ubershall.some real good guitar player kid was showing me all the awesome tones from an Engl invader 100 and it was awesome! I did like the Ubershall head because the tone knobs really make for some great classic crunch-lead tones as well as modern. all 3 GREAT amps!

I know some of you may cringe after reading what I'm about to post, but... I have owned Mesa-Boogie Dual Recto, Peavey 5150, Randall Cyclone, VHT Pittbull and borrowed a friends Krankenstein numerous times for studio stuff but my favorite amp I've ever owned is my CARVIN V3. For under $900 you get high end boutique sound and brutal punch at a fraction of the cost. I've owned mine for about 9 months now and it is the only amp I have ever owned that hasn't made me bored with the tone. Check em out

I have an ENGL fireball myself. In this comparison the Krank is definately last. ENGL and Bogner are very close, but I think the Bogner sounds more 3D. But looking at price, the Fireball is the best buy for the buck :p

lol remember this is on camera, the uberschall is by the far best amp when taking sounds dynamics into consideration; it has an incredible bottom which is crisp and raw. The krankenstein is nice but sounds wayyyy too empty, the gain is there but it has no balls( to much low cut?). The engl is always nice, its not as empty and live it does its job. But the bogner, omg that thing with a combo of 4x12 will blow ur ribs inwards, its a monster and it moves the air like no other amp ive ever seen.

I've played an Uberschall and currently own a Krankenstein with matching cabinet and the Krankensteins bottom end absolutely destroys the uberschalls bottom end. I've found that there is no way to capture the Krankensteins true sound on recording audio, or video. I look forward to trying out some other amps like ENGL in the future to see what's out there.

I think the Engl has the best lower end sound, it seems more tighter and lower then the rest, the fireball can go alot tighter then in this video so this is jus a lil lick of wat it can really do. The Krank seems to have better highs and looser metal tone then the Engl. I dont like the Krankenstein because it needs to be very loud for you to even get a lil bit of tonal expression, the Engl sounds pretty good even at low volumes(But of course best at high) The bogner i think falls inbetween.

Seems kind of silly to say something like "Krank is sterile sounding" or "Dual Rectos suck." Any setup includes more than just a head — cabinet design, speaker choice, guitar and pickups are all variables. Playing high-output pickups through a high-gain amp is going to sounds sterile and over saturated ... the converse gives you too little gain. Listen to Lamb of God — they use PAF-style humbuckers through Mesa MkVs and have some of the most crushing metal tones out there.

Although I liked the demo of these three tube amps I will pick in order what I liked best (1 being my most favorite and 3 being my least favorite, I like them all but if I had to pick)

1. Krank Krankenstein (Liked this one the best because it had a nice chunky sound and good bass output)

2. Bogner Ucerschall (This one was a VERY close second, also nice sounding but almost "oversaturated" in gain which I do like knowing there's plenty of gain "on tap")

3. ENGL Fireball (Sounded slightly thin)

For me it was a toss up between the Krank and the Uber. The ENGL sounded great, but a little thin when compared to both of the others. The Uber was dark, which I love, but something about the Krank sounded huge with lots of presence.

@krankpro Right, but were talking the amps in this video. You'll never ever even touch the 120 watts even going thru a 4x12, or the full 60 watts in the engl. So an over abundance of wattage you wont ever use don't make it a better amp or value in my opinion. I pay for tone... not watts I'll never be able to use. They are all really good amps , but for 1400$ the engl is a better value tone for buck than the rest (opinion). It seams you like you are very biased toward krank Mr. krankpro. lol

i come from germany, where engl is made ;) i'm not a fanboy though i own a fireball, but here in germany (and i think all over the world) people would agree, that geman quality is the best you can get. kranks are good amps- no doubt, but i guess engl are not that steril, have more punch in the bottom, better quality, durability and a more versatility than kranks

apart from that - i know no country other than the usa, in which the people are so persuaded of theirselves... its a pity

I think you are just favoring the v30s . great speakers but load them into a solid wood cabinet like krank and you will def hear an improvement. MDF and Void free ply aint got shit on solid poplar wood
