I've never heard of this game before, but it's kind of shocking to know so many people play it, along with all the other ones I've heard of that people play for a really long time (Warcraft, Ultima, EvE Online, etc.)

I used to think that people were making a big deal out of nothing, but... Man, this is freaky.

I play console games for like 4 hours each day, and I thought I had problems!

they drop it because it sucks. Too low resolution. If it was like the game "far cry" with all kinds of cool rain forest environments in full texturing and full resolution, with all kinds of neat stuff to explore then I would go in also. There are a lot of 3d games that are very entertaining and fascinating. second life is not one of those by a long shot. Their graphics engine absolutely sucks, they have almost no texture maps that are up to standard, and the motion of characters is slow

its extremely low quality graphics wise for todays (3d games) standards. I would say the graphics quality is up to standard for about 1995.

second life sucks compared to games like "return to castle wolfenstein" which are much more interesting. Second life is massively boring compared to RTCW, for example.

Second life did not start out to be a game it seems so many just wish to play games and not use it for the great things people can.
