'Safe countries' interpret the Refugee Convention differently. He may not have been eligible as a refugee on some. OR

Maybe they have relatives in the UK.

But countries are stingy in giving refugee status generally.

How many "safe" countries did the scrounger pass through to get to the UK? The Red Cross will never get my money from now on. Why should i subsidise scroungers?
