cont. Bonnet--the war in IndoChina was unpopular in France due to loss of lives and money. He said the heavy arms come from China. He said they are fighting for the independence of the native people and keeping them from falling under the Bolshevik yoke just as the UN was doing in Korea. He denied this was colonialism. Lane--fed prosecutor talked about Rosenbergs case, and Alger Hiss and William Remington cases, among others.

Hoffman--WWII would cost a billion dollars a day, or 8 billion in today's money? That's hard to think about. Kefauver interview sound fades out completely. Even so, the part we can see and hear don't make him sound like a ball of fire as a presidential candidate. I hope there's another interview with him. Blackman--if not for war industries the economy would be in a worse recession. People did scare buying when war broke out in Korea. Bonnet--French ambassador. Hard to hear and watch.
