The courthouse shown was built in 1885 and is a mixture of Second Empire, Baroque, Gothic, Georgian, Beaux Arts and Neoclassic styles. There are four statues. One for each of the seasons. The courthouse is topped by the Goddess of Liberty. Somewhere, somehow, her shield and sword have been lost. I've found no explanation for this.
