What a waist of time dropping in a 6.2. Should have dropped in a gasoline small block. That is, unless you enjoy your luxury car to sound like a Mack truck and smell like kerosene. To each his own.

The first 350 diesels were Olds built and were

very trouble-some, injector pumps usually failed/higher

comp. ratio [22:5:1] burned and or broke valves.

most dealers ended up replacing them with gas 260's

or 305/307's.

you should of saved the diesel 350 engine there worth big money the blocks are high in nickel and the cranks are forged people turn them into a bullet proof gas engine that can make 700 hp !! look up 434 stroker you would be suprised !

its a deville...the V around the emblem on the back signified that its a deville...they did not use that v on the fleetwood models of that area...the V with the emblem was discontinued in 1984 for the production of the smaller body deville and also received the emblem with the wreath crest

The Only Diffrents between them is the 1990 Deville small part of the back window is smaller. and The Fleetwood small part of the window is Bigger. Google It :)

@faxafoli It is definitely a Sedan deVille. I notice you have no a/c. Hopefully you are in a cold climate. Put in a fan shroud. You will have cooling issues on a hot day without one. Good luck with it.

@1988diesel I have the original tranny, works fine. This car is original 1984 DeVille 4.1 V8. I dont remember what this tranny is called?

Very nice! Glad to see others out there doing the same thing I have done. I get 26 mpg with mine. I have a manual/auto control for my overdrive lock-up converter. The paint work on the car looks very nice also, that is something I want to get done within the next few years, I am shooting for this winter. Thanks for sharing!
