  • rick dees nuts in yo mouth

  • I can honestly say that for about 10 sec's, about more than 9 years ago or so, I called KIIS FM 102.7 and won $100. But I really didn't care about that. I was so lucky to have spoken to the LEGEND, RICK DEES Live on the air.

  • Rick Dees is one of my favorite radio & television personalities....he's funny, talented, and comes across as a geniunely nice guy...come on I think a testimonial to his success is how even a guy like Howard Stern will even "name drop" him even if it's for laughs on his show...When Dees was fired from Kiss Stern did almost an hour on Dees..of course for laughs but still

  • I'm a 30 yr. radio vet. As a baby DJ, I once called KHJ and asked for Rick. He picked up the phone and was the nicest guy. Zero ego. You haven't lived unless you've actually talked to Williard Wiseman!! Williard only peed in the swimming pool (from the high dive)!

  • And you know the thing about Dees? He is truly a good guy. I had a chance to listen in on a phone interview a former coworker of mine did with him (I worked in radio for 20 years) and you can tell the guy is just a nice person and not full of shit. His success hasn't turned him into, well, Ryan Seacrest!

  • Same old worn out bits for 30 years. He is one lucky guy to fool management into paying him milions of dollars for that.

  • EPGROVE, what a hater you are. You obviously were not hugged enough as a child. Rick Dees was the first super star on FM radio and a true pioneer. I used to work for Rick and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Not only is he an amazing talent, but one of the nicest most giving genuine individuals I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

  • Not a hater. Just expressing my opinion.

  • Nice shot. Luck has nothing to do with it.

  • This is very interesting. Nice to hear Don LaFontaine do such a long read! May he rest.

  • god jul

  • god jul

  • Dees is such a douchebag.

  • So fucking true

  • this is the rick dees top 40..lol. I love that show

  • Disco Duck sold over 6 million copies - that is damned impressive for a novelty song! Rick Dees was and still is an underappreciated genius!

  • Yess sir Mr Dees...

  • Who listens to this Ryan guy anyway...... Rick Dees has been around a long time. He is funny, smart and talented.... I don't think that any of these words can describe Ryan at all... Now that I think of it Rick Dees would be a great choice for President. He is far more outstanding than those we have to choose from now..... "President Dees" has a good sound to it.

  • I agree, Ryan Seecrest sucks.. No one listens to kissFM now, its all about the Moving 93.9. Cool DJ and The best Music everrr.. Way to go Mr. Rick Dees

  • Ryan Seacrest can't even hold Dees jockstrap. It was total bush league what KIIS-FM did to him. Seacrest is a total poser and has no talent whatsoever...Seacrest...OUT! Yeah, I wish he would be out...out of a job!

  • I agree with you ONE THOUSAND PERCENT. I was gonna post this point but who could have said it better than you!

Thank you. -A life long Dees fan

  • I was the First Boy Scout to sell him Boy Scout Pop Corn On the Radio at KiiS Fm. OH YEAH

  • I listened to Rick Dees in the '70s on WMPS then on WHBQ the man was so funny, he was always imitating people when he said that Elvis died we thought it was a joke, and when he came on for the 2nd time we realized it wasn't a joke

  • I always felt that Dees could've easily stepped in for Dick Clark as host of American Bandstand and updated it with some of his comedic style and interviews with the music industry greats of the day. He's nothing short of an American success story. Thnx for this post!

  • Rick Dees & Dick Clark are both my idols in the entertainment world!

  • what can you say about the man....there is only one rick dees.

  • Love Rick. The best D.J.

  • The man is a legend !

In september 1997 i visit him during his KIISFM morning show. Great !! Keep on Movin 93.9 Rick !

  • Very interesting, good presenter - used to love his top 40 shows here in the UK back in the early 1990's
