I have suffered with RLS for many years. But I have found a sure-fire relief. Eat a meat high in heme iron, right before going to bed. An iron pill will not work long term, like meat. There is something in the meat that works with the iron, to help. Meats highest in iron are venison, chicken livers, and after that, beef liver, then beef. Beef does not work as well as Chicken Livers. Try it, it works!
"All of us have those problems, maybe in the middle of the night we get uh, a leg cramp, you know, it's rather common procedure..(Wait... WHAT?!).. And obviously, the blood is not getting through to the lower extremities..."
This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. RLS is a neurological problem, not a circulatory problem. He's just selling something. Whatever he's selling, it doesn't have anything to do with RLS. As some people have previously commented, I wish he had real RLS because it doesn't go away. it's a truly terrible medical condition that isn't affected by sweet oranges or whatever. And look at him! Does he strike you as healthy? I don't think so.
MY Mum just said a block of soup in the bed with your feet fixes restless led syndrome as your body is lacking a cemical called Boreon, perhaps not how you spell it but is how it sounds as you read it. NO I am not kidding!!!
DONT take Keppra for anything. It is a dangerous drug on your Brain.Perhaps OK after you have bean on it a while but I am now divorced with a 2 year restraining order on me.I almost killed myself. Tegretol is OK on me though.
This has nothing to do with circulation. I isn't leg cramps. I'd compare it to the tremors of Parkinson's--worst at rest, improved with movement. The deep tremor in the legs is the same. The tremor like sensations in the legs are worst at rest and the only thing that provides relief is movement.
Until you hit on the right med I would try sleeping with an electronic back messager under your legs. It keeps the muscles moving without your having to shake ur legs or walk around all night.
@13triple I'd go to a reputable neurologist and ask for a referral to a sleep center. They can provide the right medications--dopamine like drugs (Requip etc), anti convulsants Neurontin, Keppra, tegretol) and even opiates.
This doctor doesn't have a clue on what RLS is or feels like
This guy has no idea what he is talking about. Restless leg syndrome is not a circulatory problem. It's a neurological problem. He's just being paid to market sweet orange bullshit. It's funny how he said "all of us have those problems." It just goes to show how little he knows about RLS. I hope he develops real true RLS. That would be some sweet karma.
I agread with you a 100%, I have been suffering from RLS for many years now and its not just in my legs I also have the same problem in my arms aswell, the craling PAINFULL feeling you gets DEEP in side your musels. punching my self untill ther black and blue just to get some releive. most of these doctors does not understand how much we suffer. I AM SO SICK OF DOCTORS THAT THINK THE KNOW WHAT WE GO TRUE! sorry for the bad righting. but this guy makes me sick to my stomic.
circulation... sure. have a cramp all night, and see if you have good circulation : ) Get some exercise.. like wallking all night long? Blood flow... the answer to all your health problems? no.
Sitting in a steamy bath can help. Waking up to add hot water as needed.
Man i just cant stop moving my legs lately and ive listened to all the symptoms of RLS and it fits what i feel in my arms and legs exactly. its really shitting me!
This is not true. IT is a neurolgical disorder. It is NOT a circulatory disorder!!!!

@eddyfx000 Finding a cure for RLS is like finding a cure for hiccups>>> One cure DOES NOT fit all. . And there is pretty much no real cure.
AtomchildMusic 10 months ago
@eddyfx000 Me too. I have had it for 30 years. No meds work anymore. But chicken liver or venison just before bed works miracles!
