girl i grew up in a big family too i am the oldest of 6 kids and i also had to make the meals on a gas stove at age 8 or 9 cutting on all the burners on top and getting the fire from the boiler we could have blown up i had to cook what as on hand i had to make up a few things too both my parents worked and wasnt home so i had my first child when i was 16 with my soon to be ex husband we ate wantever i make my kids eat healhly but i still have alot of those bad habits i dont want them too goodvid
This video reminds me of one time when I got in "trouble" while babysitting. I'd been there all day. Made the kids breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and dinner. After dinner when they asked for something else to eat (like lasagne or something heavy) I said no. They called their mom and she yelled at me on the phone and told me "her kids can eat anything and anytime she won't let them starve after i tried to explain that they ate already. I was shocked and fired..
yes honey, i was rosey video about this and it hit home. I got a headstart on my daughter and I am going to feed my baby healthy stuff. I grew up eating unhealthy in a married home. I can relate, im glad u guys turned it around. I ask for the whole can on the plane too ha ha, i love veggie burgers! I think its child abuse when a child is obese too, dont blame yourself for a hereditary condition. I am sorry, please forgive yourself Imani! I am happy shes ok and healthy, keep eating right:)
I, too think it should be considered, "child abuse," when parents feed their children, TOO much. My daughter will NEVER eat, any and everything! I make sure she gets all her nutrients each day. Most importantly...water, NOT lots of juice/milk. :o)
Great video, and I am proud of you for changing your life for the better.
Hey Girl Hey this is a good video I'm going to share this one. I'm still learning as well. Its hard becasuse my family is always giving and bring junk for my kids to eat so most of the time I just hide it and let them eat it every once in awhile. But thank you for this video because like you said the parent should be held responsible because kids depend on us to take care of them and they learn what we teach them so most likely if we start off bad then it becomes a habit
Boy can I relate... I just finished talking to my mother a minute ago and she still don't get it! Have your collard greens just season at least with smoked turkey! I will be ordering Sacred Woman soon. Thanks for your vids P.S. Dr. Jewel Pookrum is the "TRUTH"
I really like how you used your own life experiences to get across an important message. Great video! Keep up the good work!
