These walkthroughs are useless, no one shows the location or how to get troll fat.

Well go to the shrine where you get the skeleton key and it should lead you to a cave with trolls in it.

@AncientScourge I agree, the location thing is annoying, but you shouldn't complain about the troll fat. It can be found killing trolls (no surprise there), alchemy shops, or you can just add one to your inventory using the console command "player.additem 26b5c 1". (Without the quotes of course)

Heres a big thing for every1 trying to find troll fat due to the fact of their high lvls cant find a troll well i found something good for us the suicide troll under the bridge has troll fat!!!!!!!!!!!!!! works for any1 at any1 lvl!@@!@!@!@!@ u will have to look for vids of it to find it lol its near the crashed ship XD

try doing the goldbrand quest (boethia's shrine). One of them usually has a helmet.

at around lvl 30 start doing random quests that get u into dungeons around then the guys in most dungeons/basments/caves will carry daedric mostly vampires get the first daedric armor
