@MindOfCreativity Actually old 1980s - 1990s anime from Japan usely ran 24FPS meaning 24 frames. However small scenes with little movements ran 12FPS or as little as 6FPS

@d1a1v1e My advice would be to get a small team try to draw a short animation film like only about 5 or 6 minutes. It still will require a lot of frames but after you get the artwork done. Just get a animation software and start animating it.

@d1a1v1e Personal experience, make good story boards and animatics. Mike Judge made a whole series just as animatics and got invested to hire other animators to animate off of the animatics apprehended. Have to have good presentation skills and network. Check out Mark Simon. Check out TOONBOOM ANIMATION software. Its best to work well with animatics because from there, you can go either 3D, Real Actors or cartoon and its all timed for whatever works with the budget!

I know back in the day animation studios would use carbon copiers, but I have no idea where to find such a thing now a days. I'd really prefer not to copy the line art by hand...
