  • Hello mate, I watched your review on the Barnett ll crossbow but i can't find it anywhere for £250 approx...where did you get yours from?, all the best

  • very strange they are legal considering your airgun regulations . best hopes and cheers.

  • you need a license to own one in England?

  • @capnhands , No, perfectly legal to own without a license.

  • @WeaponCollector could you do a video on how to restring a compound crossbow as Ive never seen one, pleeze?

  • zombie moaning* "shut up" HEADSHOT

  • how strong do you have to be to cock them?

  • @TheSUPERSONICGAMER , with this cocking mechnism most people can do it..

  • how old do you need to be to buy a crossbow or do you even need to be like 15 or so

  • How many arrows can this fire before it breaks.

  • do they still make this modle

  • those rivets are called c clips.

  • The all NEW! 2011 Barnett Ghost 400 Custom w/quiver, four 22" Game Crusher carbon bolts, paper-sighted 3x32 illuminated scope, Cross Rope Cocking multitool and comfort-grip crossbow sling Retails for $999.99 we have them for $839.99 with free shipping.

    OutdoorHuntingProducts(dot)com

  • would have like to see the cocking mechanism more

  • no offence, But I would not recommend using aluminum arrows, get carbon fiber.

  • I always liked the regular comando with the 175lb recurve which produced 245 fps..this compound version one you have i read produces 265 fps...But the new barnett crosbows produce between 315 fps and 400 fps...the only disadvantage is the stirup cocking verses the stock lever cocking which is really cool

  • There is no recoil on a crossbow. it has forward momentum and no gasses or moving parts traveling backwards towards the user. there is no recoil. common sense, come on people. it may have a little jolt though when you shoot it because the string is releasing from being under a lot of tension, but technically that is not recoil. very nice crossbow though, i like the self cocking feature.

  • Nice crossbow

  • im 16, what do you think is a good starting crossbow?

  • ive neevr fired a crossbow, pardon for my ignorance but is there any recoil as u fire it

  • @KaiserPotatoe95 , there is a small amount of recoil, but hardly anything, about the same as an air rifle,

  • @WeaponCollector Hey man what is the difference between a compound and a recurve crossbow?

  • @LaddieGalicia , a compound has a shorter prod that's usually two parts and has pulleys, making it more compact than a recurve.

A Recurve crossbow has a one piece prod with no pulleys and usually has a longer prod than a compound.

The pulleys on a compound means it can be shorter, but just as strong as a recurve.

    Compound = smaller with pulleys

    Recurve = bigger, no pulleys

Sorry for the long explanation, just thought i'd try to give out as much info as possible.

  • @KaiserPotatoe95 Feels a small rifle like a 223 .

  • hi bud is there any xbow that i cant buy & use in UK

that's to say if i had the money could i buy the most powerful & use it here

  • @wufwufwufwuf , as far as i know i've never heard of any power restriction laws on crossbows, so i would say you should be able to buy any power crossbow and shoot it on private property, just don't hunt with it as that is illegal

  • @wufwufwufwuf i think the PSE TAC15i is a good choice too.

  • Will the scope rail accept red dot sights(Aimpoint,EOTech) ?

    Thanks.

  • i think this is the alternative to a rifle in the UK right?

  • @luis545x39 , for those who cannot obtain a licence for a firearm these are definetly a good alternative to a rifle.

    Mike.

  • can i get it now ? I'm in Vietnam! :-)

  • My dad got the commando 1 but it lack's a scope

  • That cocking mechanism is pretty sweet. Did it come with that or was it an upgrade? Also, a few states here in the US allow crossbow hunting now. Although you do have to pay a little more for your hunting license.

  • @spiff2268 , this is how they come, sadly though this model is now discontinued.

  • @WeaponCollector Well, that's a real bummer. It's a pretty innovative system if you ask me.

  • does crossbows have any recoil

  • @MrPlaystationboy , thay have a bit of recoil, but not alot, like an air rifle.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey mike you got any idea where you can buy these? I just spent 10 minutes searching the web with no luck :(.

  • is the xbow made in the us or england

  • hey how much quid do u think each arrow would cost?

  • @98assassinscreed Go on ebay. The more you buy the cheaper they are. Works out to 1.50 a bolt approx

  • Yeah, MAD MAX!!!!

  • nice vid, i just bought a horton tacoma. i haven't shot it yet but plan to soon.

  • im from the uk and im looking to get into shooting cross bows do you need a licence, how much would an average 1 cost

  • @jakmeoff1 , you don't need a licence to own one, however its illegal to hunt with a crossbow, but fine for target shooting, and you can get them from £75 for one the same power as this, this one was around £250.

    Mike.

  • @WeaponCollector thanks for the quick reply, my pay day is up soon i think i may get myself 1

  • @WeaponCollector whats the damage like compared to a 12 ft lbs air rifle?

  • @Pageyindahouse , this will do a lot more damage than a 12ft/lb rifle.

    Mike.

  • cool, i have an Excalibur Exocet 200

  • Great video man. The Commando II sells for a whole heap of money today - it is a collectors item particularly when noting it had military applications. Plenty of folks collect this type of stuff. I am planning to sell my own Commando II and see what I can get for it.

  • how many fps will that fire an arrow?

  • nice bit of kit

  • damm dude

    tht thing must be ballistic

  • that might be the sexiest thing i ever seen

  • I cock mine in the air with my hands.

I hold the butt-stock in my right hand and cock the bow mechanism with my left hand.

It pisses off the Pencil-necks lol.

  • @Conan568 haha, i'll have to give that a try mate, not sure how i'll get on though lol.

  • @WeaponCollector

It's a piece of cake Mike.

Just don't let go of anything, lol.

  • That's a deadly weapon.

There may be some occasions one might choose the crossbow over a rifle or a shotgun when all are available. For one thing, it is probably less noisy when fired. (Unless your rifle is a small caliber and equipped with a supressor.) Also, a crossbow bolt can create an horribly grievous wound inside its effective range.

  • i use to have the original one and was very happy with it. i could break it open like a Winchester and cock it while under my arm and let 5 bolts fly into target in a minute. Very accurate and now you have me thinking about this new version. Does it come in a heavier bow?

  • I have an old Commando.

    I have 2 X 220 lb. pull prods and 1 X 175 lb. prod.

It has a 220 lb. prod on it.

It's hard on bolts, and very accurate.

  • i wish they still made these things...

  • Great Crossbow! Where can you find this crossbow at???

Please let me know. I'd like to order one, Great job mate. 5/5

  • Nice...

  • what speed does the arrows travel?

  • sorry, i'm not sure, but if i find out i'll let you know

  • I have the Commando I which looks quite nice - but that's almost all that is positive about it: The material quality is crappy. The limbs can't be fastened as hard enough, the scope comes off way to easily and the cocking mechanism sometimes blocks when pushing it back after cocking. All in all a serious crossbow shooter won't pick a Barnett, but rather an Excalibur or a Tenpoint.

  • great vid, review and some target practice. Im definitely gonna have to pick one of these up

  • I wish I had this Barnett Commando 2 self cocking crossbow. I just bought the Barnett RC 150 and I'm quite happy with it however the self-cocking is missing on it. The design and appearance of RC 150 and Commando 2 quite similar. I really enjoy the self-cocking feature in my pistol Cobra crossbow. Thank you for taking the time and effort to educate me and at HQ at that.

  • This a good post apocalyptic zombie killing weapon! Aim for the brain.

  • @D33Lux The second shot didn't even penetrate, remember that there is a skull surrounding our brain.

  • @D33Lux fucktard

  • @jayoori1 Fuck you, you lab rat son a pig.

  • @D33Lux hahaha ur pathetic XD

  • @jayoori1 You're below human standards, live with that. Sucks to be you! Learn to spell you ignorant son a pig. Now piss off!

  • @D33Lux sure. you go jerk off over some porn

  • Hey man, Nice Crossbow, how much did it cost you?

  • i think it was £225 or £250

  • @WeaponCollector how much is that in american curancy?

  • @mysummertime09 - $370, but they are probably cheaper now, this one is about 7 years old, you couild probably get one for $250 or less

    Mike.

  • hello, can you tell me where can I buy the same Barnett Commando II crossbow

  • how fa throygh a tellow pages

  • I'll do a new video soon showing how for through a yellow pages it will go

  • nice bow

  • Nice one. I got a 80LB Pistol crossbow but sometimes the bolt dosent stick in the yellow pages but it does penetrate. I think a lot of it is to do with the bolts I am using, aluminium bolts and the tips get blunt easy and become loose or bent.

  • you should try the excalibur crossbow have a look for one on youtube also check out the ar15 tac crossbow....mind blowing

  • what moterbike is it in the back ground

  • looks like a nice crossbow , I have a cheap 60lb draw pistol crossbow ,which is O.K but yours looks even better ,might buy one after I finish paying for my car

  • Thanks man, a good rifle crossbow is definetliy worth getting, really good fun and great power too.

    Mike.

  • hi, would sell the B45-3 Pump-up 12-Shot Repeater air rifle.thanks john

  • yeah mate, send me a private emsagge and we'll sort it out

  • Very nice, 10x powerfuller then a airgun yet still legal.

Shame in the uk were not allowed to hunt with as the yanks take bear and all sorts with em.

our shitty laws are a joke.

Wouldnt stop me if I lived near deer though ;-0

  • damn bro

u can fuk an army with those weapons on ur house

  • only promblem is you cant hunt wif em in the uk :(

  • very true, still good fun to shoot though.

  • i am thinkin about a pistol crossbow though not as expesive.

    im a cheapskate lol

  • Awsome bow Mike.

  • Thanks mate, glad you liked it,

  • That is a one nice crossbow... obviously accurate and powerful. Pretty impressive!

I'd like one of those too but you can't just buy them normally in Norway. You need a permit from the police... stupid, huh?

  • have you any multi tools i have the leatherman wave and have 3 flick knives

  • dude that is a sweet crossbow where can i get 1 like that 5\5

  • I like the crossbow i might buy a crossbow

    Mike.

  • i have lots of knives

  • Good to hear it, So do I.

  • sweet, and thats just with target tips imagine razor tips

  • Is the sight accurate with the recoil of the bow?

  • Yeah, mine is fine, and was designed to have a scope,

    Mike.

  • great. congratulations from brazil man ´=]

  • what about restringing do you have to send it away

  • No, in the instructions it shows how to do it yourself, what you do is put a longer string on it, and then cock it, you can then put a new string on the other Nocks (it has double nocks)

    Mike

  • omg badass crossbow ! keep the good videos comming !

  • Nice looking crossbow Mike thank's for the review. 5*

  • its not that great trust me i know some ass is going to say im stupid but i learned about it it breaks easily and it is very hard to find parts get a ten point or something like that

  • this is totally badass.

  • jesus, hunting bears or what?

  • Nice!!

  • Thanks Trophybow, i've seen your videos, you're amazing with a bow!!!

    Mike

  • Thank you Mike!

  • I am really glad you put this one up, I live in England. I have wanted a decent legal weapon for a long time!

  • its like a half-life 2 crossbow

  • I agree with you on that if i couldnt have a rifle or a shotgun it would be all about a nice crossbow!

  • That is an awesome crossbow. Im jealous. lol

  • wow this accurate

  • Love it! I had the first incarnation of the Commando, with the brass skeletal look, and no pulley wheels. I wish I still had it, but I had nowhere to shoot it so sold it :-(

  • If you have a neighbor's house close by, you have a place to shoot! 10 points for a window shot!

  • I'll order another crossbow straight away! :-)

  • Mmm, thanks for the review. I need a new crossbow. After two years of service my last one is finally decommissioned.

  • do you have to much money that you have 4 new weapons every day :P ? 5/5!
