  • wonderful..touched moine heart !!!

  • Suena hermoso OM HHARE HARI OM desde Mèxico con amor y justicia.

  • listening to this at night before I sleep, eyes closed, seated in my chair. This is one of the best experiences I have ever had. This stuff could probably cure cancer if you gave it a chance.

    Bless you

    amarjit singh UK singhbam@aol.com

  • great.....................

  • words cannot express. such a beautiful yaman. sublime control of raas.

  • If there was a divinity that could manifest as music, it would sound very much like this, i think.

  • do you play gharana of pannalal ghosh?

  • Wonderful.. Thank you..

  • Please could you mind to send me some sort of raga formula please.

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the flute player? He is very good.

  • hermosa musica

  • Prasad ji, could you please tell me when and where is your next concert happening? Thanks ...

  • absolutely beautiful, amazing performance of yaman.

  • one of the best yaman i have heard played on the flute, yun lagta hay jaisay yaman samnay khara ho! khush rahain!

  • Listening to this perfect rendition of Yaman umpteenth number of times. Great performance in every sense of the word - laye, swar, taal, rass and all in a most subtle control.

  • A river of peace maendering, ever so gracefully, through the soul of eternity.

Where can I get the original recording in full?

  • Simply superb.. I keep on listening again and again.

  • Could you please tell me the name of the Tala. Is it the Nava Tala invented by Rabindranath Tagore. In that case how is it divided?

  • The taal is called Matta taal. It is divided into 2-2-2-3 beats. The last 3 beats tend to have a very peculiar way to approach back the first beat - this is called Sawari ang.

  • yaman best!!!!!!!! one of the melodius

  • Where is the background drone sitar-like sound coming from?

  • Im pretty sure its someone playing a Tanpura in the background

  • That is one fatass bansuri. The hole distances are frightening. Nice phrasing.

  • Don't get frightened by the 'holes' ! :P

  • I think it's the jackson five minus Tito

  • The name of the song is Raga Puriya Kalyan

  • Who is the artist ? Pls let me know . Thanks . Anshuman .

  • thes is india not yaman

  • do you even know what you are talking about

  • Are u kiddin?

  • feelfree171,

"Yaman" is the name of the raga. You are thinking of Yemen, a country.

  • is there any vdos of sarangi ( yaman)???

  • esta musica fluye con calidez desde una fuente exquicita.......namaste gracias

  • непередоваем.

    тепло и уютно.

  • thank you for this amazing piece of emotions

  • @ingositar how isthis emotions??

  • @OdeToNecrophilia He meant the song is very emotional.

  • what a blessing to the ears of the soul

  • There was delay added to this video when it was mixed if you're wondering about the echo. It would be nice to also hear a more "naked" track of his. Again, just wonderful flute playing on my second listen

  • I love his interpretation of this raga. He really taps into the primal part of it. Just lovely. I feel sorry for the fellow below that said this was boring. A true shame not to be able to feel the joy this music evokes.

  • So how can he judge it as if he knows what hes talking about

    and the answer to that

    he cant

so i guess arjunbohtan just made a fool of himself

and as for us music loverss

    well just keep loving

  • TO BADNEWS 88

    ITS THE UTTER TRUTH

IM JUST TIRED OF IGNORANT PEOPLE

    He never learned

sa ri ga ma pa tha ni sa

He doesnt know how intrecate the raga patterns or scales are

    Bottom line he doesnt know

  • Note to 92Bremely:

HEAR! HEAR! I couldn't help but offer *kudos* to your comment; The comment kinda reminded me of *another* idiot - a coworker in Cleveland - that constantly, **constantly** asked "How can you listen to and enjoy that when they don't play American?"

    Idiot.

As for the contributor of this clip, THANX fer it, m8..

  • Lmfao you know what

    I was just tried

    Regardless its music

Whether you like it or not

And its the complete and utter truth

  • To arjunbohtan -

If you understood the lanuage of hindustani music it wouldnt be boring

So dont call music like this boring or degrad it because you dont have the knowledge and your not up to par!

    thankyou...

    and have a good day!

  • es medicina para el alma!

  • superb !!!! mind blowing !!! so relaxing... thx for uplod

  • mind blowing

  • Free your mind

  • boring!!!!

  • My sastanga namaskarams... Great... still tears in my eyes.... Great... God bless you.

  • Most enlightening concert I enjoyed the music

    Sambhajirao Jadhav

  • So long as India can create artists of your talent, I have hope for universal brotherhood and humanity. Truly, you have unraveled the spirit of this most wonderful evening Raga; the notes are so 'shuddh' and speak of the wonders of what we call Indian classical music. They touch, they touch, and touch. Your so wonderful rendering. May God Bless you.

  • @mahmudbaig Absolutely marvelous!

  • great thanks

  • Mr. Prasad is undoubtebly a great flute player.. His dedication and devotion for flute is profound and that clearly gets reflected in his performance.

  • nice

  • very sweet.. :)

  • I have a lot of trouble in my life. You made me forget those for a while, completely!

  • You are a phenomenal artist. Truly a gift from Krishna Himself. I would humbly like to suggest that you consider a career as a pro flutist traveling all over the world enchanting audiences. I've no doubts that you'll do well~!

  • Yes, he is marvelous!

  • Absolutely beautiful and charming. It is the sweetest sound I've ever heard and I imagine it sounds even better in person than over the internet.
