i know its makes me super sad to see people do this to their pets. One time there was this guy who moved and left both of his cats outside and left. my friend owns them now. Seriously if your gonna have a pet take care of it or at least give him to a new owner that will actually love him

your right on your local animal shelter they probably would put him down due to the fact that they tend get overloaded fast , my local shelter is the same way

but what you could try is to check on line fore a privately owned no kill shelter in your aria that would take the Dog in. I have the same problems here to many SOB's that wont take car of there pets, so we have many shelters of that type and a lot of them are very good most use volunteer help so the animals are treated good

Booger you should take the dog and be it's owner I have seen you take care of 2 pit bull's before so what's the difference, even though it can be kind of difficult for a dog trying to get along with a bunch of cat's it's more work.

I took in a stray Shih-Tzu some years back. He had been pelted with mud balls by a group of heathen children, and so me and my brother hosed him off and took him in. He was VERY standoffish at first, but he warmed up. We then gave him to our sister so he could have a nice country home to stay at if and until his owners were found. Thankfully they got him back, and they were very happy that we took care of him.

But the point is, maybe he got lost. It seems strange, but it happens all the time.

People let cats go just outside of my town all of the time. It's very sad. They just drop em' off.

I agree with some of these other people. If you take him to a shelter they will probably wack him and not give him a chance. I would suggest that you call a rescue first and see if they would take him if you ever do end up taking him to one. Just give him his space, and eventually he may warm up. Don't let your guard down though, be careful because you don't know this dog or what he might be capable of.
