Why are most of the tanks on mosterfishkeepers overstocked and barren? Reminds me of these teenage boys who keep "cool"/big reptiles and then don't care for them properly. Half of these tanks lack a gravel bed, which sets up the tanks for ammonia/disease. Gravel beds are essential for maintaining a nitrogen cycle (bacterial balance) which establishes proper oxygen levels. You'll also save a ton on filtration systems. Fish all look bored--like feeding time is the highpoint of their day. Sad
@ritter89 they dont have a gravel bed cause all together you keep the tank cleaner especially since we do water changes 3 times a week and not to mention are turnover rates
This grouper can never survive in freshwater for growing. Do not mislead the public. I know this grouper habitat very well because i breed them. Singapore Marine biologist
Thats torture,no such thing as a freshwater bumblebee grouper. They only spawn and wander into freshwater for a little while.Eventually it will die if not put back into saltwater.
i agree i saw an almost 3ft wobegong shark for about 2yrs in a 55g tank, it stayed longer than that because it was like $1000 but the guy burned they place down killing most of the animals any was he did get arrested
Man, I always hate to see such big fish is such small tanks, even if its only supposed to be in there for a little while. My fish guy got his purple tang from *grrr* petco because they'd had it in a ten gallon tank there for over a YEAR because they couldn't sell it due to some scars it had, that my guy healed up!
