The only thing i have against the figures is how Hot Toys has the joints on the arms and the knees like that. I think those joints are very very old way of doing it. I think the best is when you have complete rubber body where the joints look totally realistic.

How did you manage to get the mesh shirt to stay down and in place. Mine keeps riding up, makes it look like he's wearing a crop top at times. Loved what you did with it though, will have to find out how to move the gun placements too

is the wolf predator's armour and his stuff fragile?

Kinda. Once it's all together and on him, no. But seperate, it can break. The guns are maybe the most fragile. I wouldn't let that put you off it though. Many of the parts of these Hot Toys Preds are actually somewhat so. Hasn't stopped me yet.

Does the plasma caster on the elder move. Is the Elder predator any good, because he comes w/ no blades, disk, spear or anything. The only reason I'm considering gettnig this one is cause it has the caster I like that one and that its the same armor as the one from the original movie.

Hey diorcees firstly i just wanna say your detail is fantastic and i i just wanted to know what did you use to get the flurescant on the wrist computer, was it a pen?

No. I repainted the letters or symbols pure white, then when that was dry, went over them with florescent red paint. Easy! Try it. Makes them stand out so much more.

what did you do to get the cannons out.

A whole process where I took them off, cut them just above the joint, and turned them outwards and reglued them back. I understand there is an even better way, where you remove the base arm and make a ball out of the mount, and add some foam inside the arm parts that can "hold" the ball, then they well be totally ball jointed and even better.

what colores did u use on the wolf

Testors Model Master Acryl Acrylics. All colors flats, overcoats semi-gloss. Gloss coat all armor also, not just skin. Wolf was wet looking all the time. Skin: Flat White, Skin tone light(creamy color), Insignia Yellow, Leather, Burnt Umber, Flat Black

Armor & Mask: Steel, Silver, Burnt umber, Flat Black. (also used Krylon Silver leafing pen for highlights)

Guns: Gold, Burnt sienna, Steel, Flat Black Just use in the correct combos and with care.

yeah man i am intested in getting at least one of my predators customized. I have the avp elder, chopper, predator 2, predalien, and last but defintely not least wolf. I am intested in getting either my predator 2 customized or buying a predator 2 damged version and getting him customized. Ive seen some of your work and love it.

hi les, i repainted one of my mcfarlane celtic predators, i just need a little tip on what inks i should use to wash over and bring out the detail??

No inks bro. Just use water based acrylic paint, preferably Testors, Model Master Acryls. They are great and you can do washes with watered down colors as needed. Not too watered down, but like thin ink.

That's tricky. To me, the P2 Elder is the best one yet produced. And the P2 is stunning as well, and is one of the early main character classic Preds. so I would go for one of the P2's over Wolf in some ways.

My faves are these, P2 Elder, then P1, then Wolf, then P2. So, I may not be the one to ask! LOL! Good luck though. Whichever you pick, they are wicked figures.

I was just looking in the ADI book and the armor and bio mask does appear to be a little more silver from what was shown on screen. Obviously with the lighting and stuff it looks different. This is one awesome figure that has been greatly customized. Keep it up man , great work !.

Thanks. I can see how someone would think it's darker though. From looking at most stills and then they images from the toys, you'd think it was dark. It does get really dirty in the movie, so maybe I could dirty him up more sometime. I do sort of have him all spic n span clean and he was all dirtied up. LOL! Oh well.

For what it's worth, I based my paint on pics in the ADI book Inside the Monster Shop, about the making of AVP-R and in it, the mask is more silver than what Hot Toys had done with it.
