He does, but he hasn't posted any of his own uke stuff on it yet (there's documentation of some of his installations and a Cedar Tavern Singers performance)- his username is dhoffos.
i'm not one for the string discussion. my ears aren't keen enough to tell the difference. that said, i very much enjoyed both your songs. hat and scarf are a win!
Nice singing and playing! I know what you mean about the strings... my first uke, a Greg Bennett, had a huge improvement too when I put the Aquila strings on it. It went from being dull and dead sounding, to a really nice playable uke.
quintessentially irish ;) haha. just playing. really beautiful job. I love your write ups too, Tony. I think I look forward to them almost as much as the videos.
Very much enjoying your fabulous renditions of these old songs! Great stuff! Guitar strings - I have to change them or out of tune she go's, but I only change them if I'm recording. Cost's too much to be in tune all the time. Cheers Good Sir!
Awesome style! And completely agreement in regards to strings. The uke is so strange... type of strings really make all the difference compared to most other instruments.
Have the self same songbooks so great to hear someone working them for the uke....fine work..unlikely I will match it!!

Superb, I am a big fan of the Dubliners version of Paddy works on the railway, I'll have to dig my LP out and have a listen.

Thanks
To my shame, I do not own a single Dubliners record. I must remedy that.

Lovely picking!
it's amazing what a nice set of strings will do! My husband is partial to Aquilas, but can't decide whether I like them or Worths better.

Thanks Russ - I was going for the Gay-Casey-Jones look. I'm with you on the strings, but I was surprised at the huge difference the Aquilas made.

Love the folk stuff! 5*
You might like to try Worth strings next time you are experimenting, they are also good.

Thanks
Like I say, I am limited to what the local shops have to offer, but I'll definitely try to get some Worths

Sweet song and great sounding strings! Extra plus for the Richie Blackmore style string curl up by the tuners!

Ha. Blackmore's Uke - maybe his next band.
Thanks
