@TheMARCELODRUMER That's actually a 7x14 Shine snare. As you probably know Shine went out of business. I was bummed because I had to give that snare drum back to the company. Anyway, I'm sure I'll find something better. Have a great day!!
@Br0k3M3xican It's called the freehand technique by Johnny Rabb. He has an instructional video out if you're interested in learning how to do it. I can tell you it's one of the most frustrating things to learn but once you have it, you have it! Thanks for watching!!!
Hey Brad I was wondering what is one of the best ways to increase left hand speed because it looks as if your hands are almost identical in tha area. And the double-strokes are killer
Thanks! One of the things you can try is to play eighth note triplets on a pillow leading with your right hand. ( R L L, R L L... Try it for a week about 15 minutes a day and see if there is any improvement. Let me know how it goes! Thanks again!
Man I was there when you did this, cant see me in the vid but I'm actually standing directly in front of the kit. I'm one of pauls students and man even after seeing it live every time I watch this it amazes me just how much power you have behind everything but even though you have this power you have that amazing finesse. You are certainly a huge inspiration to me. Excellent work.
Just some advice, when you are playing with traditional, you might want to keep your middle finger on. It allows more control and your heights will be better. Take it for what it's worth.
Thanks for watching and for the advice! Traditional grip has always been a bit of a mystery to me so any help in that area is definitely welcome. Thanks again!!!
hahaha thats awesome! ya actually last night my duche bag of a neighbor came over and told me to stop cuz i was being to loud cuz i had my window open cuz it gets freakin hot in my room haha
