Truly on a car like this and with the boost logic tranny, it would beat this exact car if this car was a 6 speed. The auto has a built in anti-lag system in a way. It keeps the car in the band and you dont lose the clutch time.

I was under the impression Overdrive was just one more final gear. What does that have to do with the rest of the gears? It shouldn't change anything.
In a nutshell, it is a extra "gear" that the engine routes its power through before it gets to the wheels. It basically lowers the RPM that the engine needs to be at for a certain speed. It makes the gear that you are in "taller" when it is engaged. Some cars have it built in and the driver has no control over when it kicks in, others have a button on the shifter. Some have very little difference in rpm and speed, others are quite noticeable. Hope that helps

first of all Brainiac, even the Auto is fast full boost all the time. Second they don't make Supra anymore (atleast not here and they don't import them) so if you can get your hands on one, it doesn't matter auto or manual... you take it just because it's a Supra.

Driving a single turbo supra on the streets with a 6 speed can be difficult. On the highway no problem. But after a while sometimes you get tired of shifting gears around town. And in the rain, well. I'm not going to go there.
I'd prefer the leisure and joy of shifting. I care less how much work it takes or how many milliseconds it adds to my time. Stick ftw. Just like a bike, automatic bikes? Ha! No. xD

majority of drag supras are Auto, so theyre just as fast. Manual just gives a bit more joy.
