  • how cool does ed look

  • As good as they are live, and as much as I want to see them, at home I prefer the studio versions

  • I have a different Radiohead song for each mood If i'm Happy it's fake plastic trees if i'm pissed off it's national anthem and if i'm high as a hatter it's climbing up the walls :D

  • 3:10 ->

The hairs on my arms are on end. Powerful moment!

  • @irunintopoles The radio! haha!

  • @skatinggaz no really

TOOL, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Paul Simon or Mozart! Ok, go!

  • @DragonBallPaul hehe right you are, i think you forgot to mention Justin Bieber ;)

  • Radiohead being compared to Oasis? Who thinks this and why???

  • @TheSeagull1984 RH's early stuff is in the same genre, that's about it.

  • /Either Way U Turn/

  • Great song. I was really pleased to hear recently that Thom Yorke had come out in support of the BNP. Well done, Thom. You know it makes sense.

  • @Christonamotorcycle

    Source or it didn't happen.

  • @MusicalMinority yes i like your point.Muse is the best example...but they, especially Matt Bellamy are in a beautiful musical world of their own,and I can`t compare Muse to Radiohead simply because i like the two for different feelings they spark in me when I listen to them

  • Since there are 0 people that have disliked this video it seems we'll have no one making bad jokes about the dislike button.... I wonder why?

  • @Hypact1v3

Incorrect statement, I can make a bad joke.

0 people made the right decision in not clicking the dislike button.. am I doing it right?

  • The radio effects are awsome!

  • Radiohead is always being compared with Muse & Oasis. Well, who do you think is better ?

  • @eazzy93 I had heard of both Muse and Oasis way before I heard of Radiohead. I extremely disliked both bands. When I heard Radiohead, I was blown away.

  • Can I just say... This is like... AMAZING live? Like, holy crap. Go listen to the recording and come back and see how you feel about the live version. I LOVE this. One of my favorite of their live performances. AND... Haha. Unlike other bands, that is saying a whole lot.

  • Who else got Chills?

  • most underrated rh's song. absolutely insane.

  • @looneYeah how is Climbing up the Walls underrated? I've always thought of it as one of Radiohead's signature pieces.

  • @looneYeah one of my favourite >_<

  • Remember when people used to talk about who was better, Radiohead or Oasis? Tell me Radiohead didn't win.

  • @luminaire42 depends on your taste. they're not even remotely comparable imo. i love em both (tho oasis turned to shit) but i have to admit i listened way more to the gallaghers. saw both live and radiohead was better.

  • I have the full concert of this video on my profile (and a bunch of others besides!)

    Search: jFjAWhY1Amg

  • This up beat version is brilliant! The lyrics gives me the chills.. Such an amazing song, by an amazing band!

  • the lyrics give me the chills every time too!!

  • Wish i was there.....hearing this live.....

  • Jonny's ondes martenot here sounds like a wailing banshee which is perfect for the song really! And this is by far, the best Climbing UpTthe Walls live performance I've seen from them.

  • This performance is just out of this world. I LOVE their trippy stuff so much, true geniuses

  • wow this is played so fast compared to the studio recording. i think thisi s one of their only songs i would rather listen to the original track than hear live :P

  • shit.. im scared.. at 3:16.. the odnes thing that jonny plays.. does the note there.. was it hit.. i couldnt hear it all until it came flat and went back down.. i was just at a loud concert... hearing damage or jonny? :S

  • Nah he didnt hit it.

Is that solo played on the odnes on the album?

  • me too :)

  • Radiohead é o melhor de todos. E olhe que conheço muitos. Não há defeitos.

    Eu me apaixonei perdidamente.

    f26a50rock

  • Dude. What the fuck, why aren't you guys talking about this fucking performance as much. It's brilliant.

Like, I am blown away by this performance. It's incredible. =O

  • the entire Glastonbury concert is brilliant.

Some of their best live performances, from what I've watched.

I'd love to see Radiohead live someday...oh so much.

  • i expected the drums to be more insane

  • i am the pick in the ice... killer song

  • GODS!!!! Mad Scientists. GENIUS!!!!!!

  • XD......

  • lol

  • It wasnt a girl, it was me.

  • waiting for new subterranean homesick live shows in spain.........

and new MUSE cd in september.......

  • Whoa! The possibility of a new Muse and Radiohead album released within the year. Mind-boggling..

  • coldplay?? who´s coldplay?? are they musicians?? or a teenager band??

  • Coldplay. One of my favorite bands that cannot play worth a shit live. Now Radiohead! Live band at their zenith. Everyshow!!!

  • Man coldplay aint a tenn band, the jonas brothers and all that rubbish are. Coldplay is a proper band and so is Radiohead.

  • Comment removed

  • franly speaking

COLDPLAY IS A KID IN FRONT OF THESE

    GODS

  • @metaldog111 don't even compare 'em . coldplay sucks . : )

  • Mad Scientists. GODS!!!!!!!

  • So violent and haunting and just fucking beautiful.

  • I love the term "Violent." It really is a scary and violent song. I feckin love it, might be my favourite....maybe

  • the scream yorke does on okcomputer should have been done at this show...woulda been unreal

  • Couldn't agree more - it kinda encapsulates the whole song =/ if I felt i was climbing up walls i'd scream like that

  • Amazing, and you know what i just saw them live in concert, their 2nd date in Mexico and i got to say it was perfect, this song gave me the chills

  • AWESOME!

  • MusicalMinority summed it up perfectly..

  • Listen to all hell break loose from 3:05 on. . .Gods!! Genius!! Radiohead at their most violent and intense. This is why they cannot be topped as a live band. This is haunting brilliance.

  • An extremely under-rated song, Just listen to the climax. It is amazing.

It is also a extremely under-rated Radiohead song by Radiohead's own fans, Whenever i see "Top 10 Radiohead" song lists this song is normally not there or not near the top to my bemusement.

  • I think it might have to do with the number of wonderful songs Radiohead puts out. I mean you have every thing from KID A, OK Computer, and Amnesiac and quite a lot from The Bends, In Rainbows, and Hail to the Thief, plus 3 songs from Pablo Honey (I know I'll get shit for that last bit). It's just so hard to pick a top ten from all their CDs.

  • Oh I grasp it. What would life be without either band? A dreadful thought!!

  • Someone once said to me "The Stars aligned...and out came the Beatles."

But I would disagree with you that Radiohead aren't pioneers...Like the Beatles? No.

    But still.

Something aligned and out came Thom Yorke. I don't know If I want to know what it was, though :)

  • Radiohead are undoubtedly pioneers. Not in the same way as the Beatles, I agree. The Beatles completely revolutionized pop music. Radiohead hasn't done that. But look at Muse, Coldplay, James Blunt, Jeff Buckley, The Killers... Those are only the few few artists that come to mind, and I'm sure there are dozens more who've been influenced by Radiohead's music. That's because they dared into territory nobody else had ever gone into before. OK Computer and Kid A alone are testimony to that.

  • @MusicalMinority i think jeff buckley influenced radiohead.

  • @MusicalMinority I don't know about Jeff Buckley...

    But yes i agree! xD

  • @MusicalMinority You said, mate.

  • @MusicalMinority The Beatles....Don´t carry the name upon your shoulders

  • @MusicalMinority Amen to that

  • @MusicalMinority Well don't forget the many experimentations Radiohead pioneered like the vast manipulation of the voice on Kid A. Kid A to me is like the Sgt. Pepper's of this generation because it brought all these underground genres to the public. Sergeant Peppers showcased Eastern Traditional music, carnival music, even marching band styled stuff, etc. Kid A brought electronic music, krautrock, and free form jazz to the public eye. Radiohead and the Beatles, just pure genious in those groups

  • @justinorville well said

  • @MusicalMinority well even though Kid A is one of my favorite ablums..it wasnt exactally territory no one has gone in before...look at IDM artists like Aphex Twin and Sqaurepusher...although they exposed IDM to the mainstream...thats the the album that got me into electronic music

  • @MusicalMinority James Blunt? th fuck

  • Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and everybody is entitled to disagree with you.

Just sick and tired of people stating bands copy bands.

Radiohead are a one unique band who have their own style of music as did the Beatles if anyone copies the Beatles it has to be Oasis and definitely not RADIOHEAD

  • That doesn't mean they aren't pioneers as well. The Beatles expanded what rock was and redefined it. Radiohead takes what the Beatles did and expands on it. Yes The Beatles are more influential (than anyone really) but not recognizing what Radiohead has done as far as Brit pop, electronic influence, and creativity does them a disservice.

  • how do you link the beatles to radiohead???

  • for one... Radiohead did mention the Beatles as an influence in the making of the In Rainbows album.

  • really??

  • well not to be mean or piss you guys off I personally hate the beatles. i dont think they're good.

but radiohead is my favorite band.

  • Funny, we think of Radiohead as today's Beatles (which we also love) because they are so innovative musically and lyrically.

Plus, like the Beatles they seem to be able to write about every human emotion under the sun and then some. Radiohead can write about experiences that are painful & then turn that hard stuff into beauty and love. Great examples are "Street Spirit Fadeout", "Bullet Proof", "Lucky", "There There", "Reckoner", "How to disappear completely" on and on ...

  • @sgtpopoy And OK COMPUTER is deeply influenced by the White album. You know the famous line in Paranoid Android, " Kicking squealing Gucci little piggy " ? It pays credit from the " Piggies " song by George Harrison

  • The beatles are linked to every rock band from 1963 on period

  • ie thom said paranoid android was directly inspired by happiness is a warm gun. Both songs feature around 4 or 5 distinct sections.

  • Karma Police is based off of Sexy Sadie as well

  • They are the only two of the most innovative and creative bands in history. Those two come to mind when one thinks of groundbreaking or innovative. This is the truth as it is today 21 April 09.

  • I personally feel you are forgetting Pink Floyd in that "most innovative bands" category

  • and just think that modern indie and rock wouldnt exist as we know it without Radiohead, ESPECIALLY anything Brittish. P.S i was too high to read the rest of wat you said soooooooooo....... ^_^

  • If you're high, you shouldn't listen to this song.. It may FUBAR you..

  • fubar?

  • f*cked up beyond all reason

  • recognition

  • this song terrifies me so much... but in the way that makes me keep listening to it... gosh i love it.

  • Mad Scientists. Gods! This is the best of the best. Is does not get any better than this.

  • Genius. Brilliant. This is not music this is pure energy!

  • best radiohead song ever imo

  • It's Radiohead at their darkest and most beautiful. This the best of the best.

  • I think you can't really compare bands.

Each band is unique in its own style, and Radiohead's style appeals most to me, the reason why I worship Radiohead.

  • is that bitch shouting "play creep" ?

  • yep. "pretty please!"

  • Radiohead is coming over to CHILE

thats one in a million years

can't wait to see them ^^

  • wow. amazing.

  • 1 word. Goosebumbs!

  • GRAMMAR POLICE SAYS:

    Goose-Bumps

  • speechless....

  • i usually hate going back to school in august, but now i can't wait because i'm going to see radiohead live just a week or two before.

this has been the first time in my life where i'm actually excited for the end of summer, all because of radiohead.

  • Same here, except it's to get a job in a new career, nursing. I can't wait. Radiohead in concert! I can die then. I'll see Beck too. Then my shortlist is complete.

  • Two bands i'd love to see. Beck's new album was superb to be honest. Radiohead aren't touring over here are they?

  • nice im seeing beck as well on th24th :)

  • me too im going to the show in washington :)

  • Thet bring us in the dark atmosphere of the song. The lights on stage are awesome! Sincerely, Radiohead is the greatest band ever!ad

  • ''so lock the kids up safe tonight, ive got the smile of a local man, who has got the loneliest feeling''

one of the most disturbing radiohead lines, for sure

  • "...you know we're friends 'til we die..."

That line is usually regarded in a positive way, but in the context of this song it's utterly fuckin creepy. Radiohead is one of the few bands that can really ever pull that off for me. This song and "We Suck Young Blood" are two of the creepiest songs I've ever listened to.

  • Hey walkup, get a load at The Gloaming at this same concert.

  • D00d, what about Pulk/pull though? THAT'S a creepy song. But I'm starting to enjoy, even though it's a bunch of wanking thrown together ;)

  • the heads of radio are better than the beatles

  • Yea i didnt even realize how beast that light show was till i read that comment that must take alot of work. but yea radiohead is the best

  • ed looks like the shit in a good way in 1:57

  • yeahh

    this is magic

  • that light show at the end is fucking phenomenal..

  • I recently took a break from Radiohead, during which I listened to some other rock-like music. When I came back to Radiohead, the first thing that came to mind was: "That's what good rock music sounds like."

  • i could listen to just radiohead for the rest of my life there's enough in depth to there music that there wouldn't be any need for anything else

  • my take on Beatles and Radiohead?

Beatles were the masters. Then was their time...

Radiohead are the masters. And now's their time...

So for me, I believe they are both masters in their own creative ways... And I love both Beatles and Radiohead! (I agree with lafla2)

My dad made me listen to the Beatles, and have been a fan ever since. I myself discovered Radiohead when I was in my late teens, and have been a fan ever since. And one day, I'll let my kids listen to them also.

  • i'm not a beatle fan, ok, i know mutch songs of them and they are ok, but cmon, in studio recordings they played the solos slower and speeded them up on for the album because of lack of skills, im more jimi hendrix, thats a total master (check the beginning of ''wild thing'' here on youtube) and radiohead, is so mutch different then both beatles and jimi hendrix, but for me, they are MUTCH deeper. like im in a real trip if i listen to radiohead, without even using drugs. thats ..phenomenal ..

  • this song is so fucking scary, but i love it so much

  • My favorite song off OK Computer.

One of the most disturbing songs I've ever heard.

  • One of my favorite songs off "Ok Computer".

    Amazing performance!

  • where can i get this entire concert on dvd? i need it so desperately.

  • How can you compare Radiohead and Beatles?

Radiohead is the most innovative band of our time, the Beatles of theirs.

As the Beatles said "Let it be"

  • Wow. The first notes always give me the shivers.....

  • fuck man the whole song is like

  • yes, shivers is the right word...

  • wow, this song is awesome live

  • Beatles are no match indeed. They couldn't even play there later songs live and wanted to just be a studio band. Radiohead is able to play every song they wrote live. I also would love to see Kid A the whole album turned into a musical on Broadway. It would rock!

  • holalala..It's 21st century,it's 21st century...from bodysnatchers...beatles is great,but not the greatest...thank them for begining rock...

  • Sorry dude, radiohead is without a doubt my favorite band, but the very first large venue for a band aka a concert was the Beatles. The beatles started life performances man, sorry.

  • They couldn't play them live because they didn't have that kind of equipment made yet.

The Beatles made all their sounds by manipulating the tape. They didn't have those processors and delay pedals to make their sounds.

  • Different times! They did not have sufficient PA systems in the mid 60s to amp the Beatles louder than the Shea Stadium crowd. By the time stadium PAs were being built they were breaking up.

Both bands are ground-breakers for their time. Les Paul (invented the e-guitar!)>Elvis>Beatles>Hendrix>...>Radiohead... (fill in the dots your own way!) each successive performer can build off of the advances of previous ones.

  • Beatles is no match for Radiohead. Radiohead is far better.

  • i totalyy agree

  • i'm surprised no one gave you thumbs down for that

usually people instantly thumbs down comments that go against the musician in the video

radiohead is great, the beatles are great

but the Who are my favourite

  • both bands are both totally different from each other and both great in different aspects if u ask me.

  • Beatles > Radiohead.

Sorry. Radiohead is an incredibly band with the highest amounts of skill but you simply cannot compare legends with icons.

I'm sorry. Radiohead is my favorite band though.

  • thank you, never enough logic on the interweb, but when you see it, it's refreshing

  • Radiohead has changed music though.

The beatles were just a popular band. Bands in that time ALL sounded alike.

theres no band that sounds like Radiohead.

  • To be honest, where I live...nobody knows what Radiohead is. On the other hand, everyone knows what the beatles. that's what separates the two. Popularity. Not skill.

  • Where do you live?

  • Hollywood.

  • No no no. The Beatles did things no one had ever done. No one sounded like The Beatles especially if you listen closely to all of Harrisons chord changes...all of it. The Beatles were beyond genius.

  • How can you compare both bands? First of all, thirty years separate them, with the differences in technology. The Beatles revolutionised music like no other band, Sgt Pepper is the biggest slap the music industry has ever had. Brian Wilson even went crazy trying to copy it. Radiohead are extroarinary however their debt to the Beatles is huge, as well as artists like DJ Shadow or Aphex Twin. For me, the only other band as groundbreaking as the Beatles is Pink Floyd, radiohead being only third.

  • AGREE

  • I think There There got voted the best song by their fans

  • maybe it was a different thing, but i defo read this was, both are amazing anyway !
