@rockhaze don't under estimate the LS4's bro. And I absolutely love these Gens of Camaros! But with the right bolt ons on a these Montes, it will get ya high 12's. Thats been proven on LS1 Tech LS4 forums. Turbo will get ya low 11's look up my boy "supercatrx7" as reference. Tearing this monte a new one, will just not be the deal. If they do win I usually make em work for it LoL!....I raced a modded LS1 powered Mazda. I don't even know who won.(1/8 mile) I will be uploading soon, so stay tune.

@bratboy90 well i dont know about that, up here where i live i have a bones stock 2001 ls with a spoiler on the back and shes a trophy around here.. beat alot of newer chargers and a 90s stang 0-60 in 6 seconds

@railfankasey Bro an 01's stock 0-60 is 7.5 on and off paper. My buddy has a bone stock one thats Fing mint. It's still slow as ballz. Now if you have a Intimidator/Earnhardt edition, it would probably be able to do those numbers. either you bought it modified and are too dumb to know it or your car is a randomly fast hunk of metal. I know you can't beat a new charger r/t or srt8 but maybe one of those grocery getters with a v6. Mustangs are crap in general. Slowest off all the high brand cars.

umm yeah expect the monte to be a lot faster seeing as though the 96 z28 wernt putting out 300 horses unless you had an slp edition or did some minor mods.. i have a monte carlo ss and i have a z28 and with a few mods to my camaro..exhaust, bigger pistons and a slightly bigger cam..as well as the police edition lt1 i was running cirlces around my monte carlo...

@MrIkeT My 93 z28 with just chip and exhaust is much faster stock than my 07 stock monte ss. the monte has about 18 hp more stock but the z28 is faster and just plain meaner with the 6 speed.

2005 and Down were v6 3.8 They upped it to the V8's and the add ons are crazy. Def trying to get a 2007 or up Monte before the summer..

@SOSA973 Just realize that the 07Monte is the absolute last year! You have to look at the 06-07 Monte in order to get the SS LS4!! There might be some around with some decent miles!

I bought an 06 monte SS in october of 2009 and I was very surprised at how fast these cars are, especially after having a 2000 camaro z28. Montes are fast and super comfortable.

@demariojason Psssht, I just wanna make it 1 sweet looking luxury car. Get a nice black paint job, black carriage soft top, 19-20" chrome rims, on the sides of it should read in a decent sized cursive print "Cutlass", maybe 1 solid chrome strip right down the middle all the way to the back. Thats only if nothing major and/or too much of like suspension, engine. Big stuff like that I wont mess with and ill just get rid of it. Would look pretty sweet tho if I could affiord all of that.

Actually, you'd be surprised at the speed of those monte carlos. Also i'm almost 100% sure that the 2007 monte carlo SS beats the 1996 camaro on everything.

Though I never ran 1/4 but with my intake, deleted resy & flipped motor mount, that sounds bout right! Stock I've seen 14.1!! Hell, an 06 Monte Carlo(from LS1 Tech) with rockers, springs, deleted Resy & cat, down pipe, K&N with drags ran 13.00 FLAT!!! :/

thats a nice monte but i gotta say that was only an lt1 if that was a ls1 we got another story here. whats your 1/4 mile times with those mods? my friends dad got rid of his 06 SS cuz the 1/4 times suck on those cars when their stock. i raced him at the track and he got me a lil on takeoff but i beat him at the end with my stock 03 GT. i ran a 14.445 and he ran a 14.621. but anyway you got a beautiful monte!
