  • This may have been done as a school project, but I am seeing a huge potential here. I really love the way you used streaks of matching lights, to add a bit of dynamic action, and a hint that they're entering the combination sequence.

  • how the f**k did breakfast at tiffanys bring me here??

  • @Liam18MG : Because Deep Blue Something sings the song Breakfast At Tiffany's. They are the same band that does the background music for this piece, Gammer Gerten's Needle.

  • Great, now I miss smoking weed.

    Awesome job on this!!!

  • Nice work, can I ask what grade you got for it?

  • hey! that voltron has a better look, compared to that fat eye 3d animation series from the 90's. good job.

  • i suggest u make those lions or tigers move their leg to make them more realistic

  • I thought you modeled them based off of the toy. Good job. What grade did you get on the project ?

  • i think choosing voltron to do an omage with your talents was nice. gj

  • LOL sea cat

  • lol thats pretty awesome. i made one too back in 1999 with a program called strata. i should post it up. but im somewhat embarrass to show it. but hey we all have to start somewhere.

great job on the voltron. do you have any more?

  • omg I recognize those toy models. Those were the ones that were in stores just like 10 years ago right? When they tried to make that 3d remake.

  • this clip is good, but, what would make it even better in my opinion is having the pilots saying the words to make voltron.

  • boring..

  • @juwell18: Yeah the project wasn't to entertain, it was to use the concepts taught in class to develop a 3-D model and anime it. I'm sorry that my 8 year old college project didn't entertain you, except I really don't care.

  • I would like to see Optimus Prime vs Voltron

  • cool....only ya mixed up the red and green lion at the end

  • Jaime, nice work. Not too shabby. I challenge you to re-do this animation. Go online and find the orthographics for the different lions. Also, you need to work on your secondary motions. The leg motions are ok, but you need to study how lions move and see the way they run to match the animation. I highly recommend to use Mental ray for the texturing and use Vue to create the scenery.

  • Thanks for the constructive criticism, I appreciate it a lot. However, I made this animation in 2002 while a college student and I no longer have these files or access to Maya. I modeled the lions after toys that I owned, and the only movable parts were the legs and tails and neck, so that's why the motion focused on the legs.

  • @thoraxcs Jaime, I am sorry to hear that you no longer have Maya. However, you could download the trial version of Silo. I did and it has been quite fun to use once you get used to the controls.

  • nice! i like how fluid the leg movements are. i'm taking a maya course soon. i don't see why the audio had to be disabled for this. it's obviously for educational purposes.

  • OMG AWESOME 5 STAR!!

  • I think he means we did not see the black lion enter, although the black lion did form the chest. Very nicely done. Well animated. I wonder if I can duplicate that in 3ds max?

  • audios been disabled... not too bad a job, thanks for the upload, voltrons ok, but i am more of a transformers fan myself...

  • Good animation :)

  • nice!bravo!

  • Very strong work

  • Um, what color did you not see? If you're talking about order, I apologize but I hadn't seen the cartoon in over ten years and if I even got close then it was totally by chance.

  • Dont listen to him. He's just one of the millions of haters floating around youtube. <_< Good production here bro. Keep rockin it. I love Voltron.

  • what the fuck is your problem? come back when you can do better

  • You shouldn't critize unless you can do better/

  • that was my point 13lshop should try modeling i think he will find it a lot harder then hes making it out to be

  • Nice 3D Jaime, very good effort!

it was fun seeing blue lion 4 swimming in freestyle ;) lol

I've been making 3D too and I know how much love, dedication and effort is needed in making one.

    Good job! Keep it up!

  • hey man is very nice, i need learn how to use Maya!!! hehhee
