I hope Thai will cancel their order for for the A380 once and for all. The A380 still plagued by problems, like the engines, wiring, flight computers etc. Thai would be better of with the new Boeing 747-800 Intercontinental. And Thai, for god sake get rid of the 737-400 fleet.
The rear of the Upper Deck could of at least been a Premium Economy Class section, even though Bangkok is not as Business heavy as HKG or SIN. Space very well utilized, I find Korean's A380s don't utilize the space too well due to the excessive lounges on the Upper Deck and the Duty Free Showcase is not too big of a feature that most people are after at the moment.
@TheFS10show I would like to know iff Stockholm, Copenhagen, Rome and Paris are among the Thai Airways a 380 destinations because to these places Thai Airways is using a Boeing 747-400 and Thai Airways will replace the Boeing 747-400 with the Airbus a 380.

Great new features. First and Business look great. Seems to be worth flying over Frankfurt as from 2012. Was waiting for a long time for internet, direct access to the aile, a bar and a more spacious restroom. Hopefully they will introduce the new style to the other planes as well. ...still like the A340 from Zurich!!!

Singapore Airlines declared that one A380 is more efficient then 2 777 on the same route while making more money because more first class & business seats. Lufthansa states in its fleet report that an A380 burns with their config 3.2 liters per pax/100km. Emirates said the A380 having a steller CASM.
And the only thing which isn't special about the A380 is the size. Things unique in the A380 are over 300 new patents and technologies like first CFRP Wingbox, first Network Systems Server, ACUTE , OIS,Power by wire,first 5,000 psi hydraulic system,variable-frequency electrical generators,first Electrical-Hydrostatic Actuators (EHAs) and Electrical Backup Hydraulic Actuators,Integrated Modular Avionics ,530km of wiring ,Brake to Vacate,first time GLARE on a plane, etc,etc,etc
My kids could create better graphics than this. Beautiful plane though. Can't wait to fly on her with the whole family! (Royal First Class for me and Economy for the kids, hehe.)
THAI has the BEST Premium Economy class going on their A340-500s. WHY can't they recognize this? The A380 would have been ideal for adding Premium Economy. Reducing Economy seat pitch down from 34" (on previous aircraft) to 32" on the A380 was a bad move also; it makes the argument for Premium Economy only stronger. They could have put Premium Economy at the back of the upper deck where the 2-4-2 Economy seating is shown.
@AbeFrohmanSausageCo I agree. If you are tall and not wealthy you either sit in discomfort, hope to get an exit door, or spend several weeks salary on business class. The option to travel affardibly and sit like a normal person isn't there unless you happen to get lucky at check in. This is an opportunity missed.
First time I might fly on this shit right here, I'll take a big dump for sure and enjoy everything as it would be my last time. XD

Nothing too dissimilar to an Emirates A380 interior, only difference is a vulgar purple colour scheme which won't age well.
What I really can't wait for is to see what Virgin Atlantic will do when they get their hands on one of these birds ;)

18 inches seat with 32 pitch is the same as bus that travelling from bangkok - Kampang-phet
(even vip-bus that travel from chiang-mai to bangkok has wider seat and more legroom than royal silk)
it's very uncomfortable if we have to stay 12 hours+ in that seat. :P

ชั้นล่าง เป็น Ecomomy ให้หมดเหมือนเดิม แต่เพิ่มความยาวให้มากขึ้นหน่อย
อย่าลืมว่า A388 เป็นเครื่องพิสัยไกล Economy 32 pitch ดูอึดอัดไปหน่อย อย่าลืมว่ายิ่งเบาะข้างหน้าปรับลงมา จะยิ่งแคบเข้าไปอีก
น่าไปศึกษาเบาะ Economy ของ Air New Zealand / Cathay Pacific เครื่อง 773ER (77W) ดู เบาะนั่งเค้าค่อนข้างสบาย มีการออกแบบดี ไม่เบียดเนี้อที่ ผดส.ด้านหลัง

TGเราเคยมีseat pitchถึง36" ในEconomy classของ A340-500
ส่วนลำอื่นๆ อย่างต่ำก็34" แล้วก็TGได้รับการยกย่องในฐานะที่Economy กว้างที่สุด ชาวต่างชาติรวมถึงคนไทยมากมาย ตัดสินใจเลือกTGด้วยเรื่องของseat pithที่กว้างกว่าSQ EK และCX แต่ไหงพอเป็นA380 เครื่องบินลำใหญ่ขึ้น แต่ทะลึ่งทำให้ที่นั่งแคบลง = = ใครคิดเนี่ย

ชอบครับแต่ชั้นหนึ่งดูธรรมดามากๆ ไม่มีความหรูหราเลย ที่จริงแล้วทำออกมาหลังรายอื่นๆควรทำได้ดีกว่านี้แถมมี overhead compartment อีกอึดอัดแย่ สู้ๆน้ะครับการบินไทย
