the circus tour was an incredible triumph... just because everybody was telling Britney was over, and she did it, lipsync or not, she stood there returning after the collapse, and she was great!
@SteAndKel playback is where they record another live version earlier then play it back and her vocals are live over the top, WITH the playback track.
@ittybittybabyforrest no its not.. its where they record a pre-recorded version before the show which sounds different to the original... and then the artists lipsyncs along to it.
there would be NO POINT in making a pre-recorded to sing along to...

Then on verses or parts with lots of dancing the live track is turned down but not off and then it is turned back up for choruses and it fits with the playback backing track.
@SteAndKel The point is so that when they turn the live track down for the heavy dancing parts etc that the prominent track is a live recording of the artist and not the studio version. Thats the point of it.

@superjoevideos because i am a fan and i paid good money to go to her circus concert (YES i did go to this concert)... and was unbelievably let down to see her mime and walk around the stage for the price i paid. she was useless! everyone i went with and the people around me agreed.

@ricoemilio Yeah, but those were specially designed heels eg the "Crazy" heel she said she could dance in those and the "Toxic, "Overprotected" and "Boys" heel she could do those big dance breaks with it. Its not that she needs practice they need to get rid off those 5inch heels

Though I understand the "heel" factor these days, but they really should put her in a boot/ lower heel like the ones she wore for the In The Zone promo tours & ONYX tour. That was by far her best era of dancing & best tour EVER!!!!! ;)
