  • I remember doing this project. Good times! Good job!

  • haha, I remember your tape to tape edit, we spent HOURS in those little rooms!

  • "The birds" is the only hitchcock film I haven't seen all the way through.. oddly enough.. not sure why that is.. something always interrupted me.. I will have to correct that mistake soon.

  • Please do, I think it was the first Hitchcock film I saw.

  • I'm kind of scared of birds anyway.. so it's even scarier for me.. I've just never trusted them..

  • well then you should be less worried, seeing as how "it's just a movie" mwhaaa haa

  • Your ace Brit. This was so well cut it's crazy. My favourite Hitchcock film too next to psycho.

  • I was on top of my game back then...

  • yay! it's here! 5 stars :)

  • Some say this is Hitchcock's best film. For me it is more important as research for my novel on the formation of the CIA. Also I have a hard time saying this is better than Psycho or even Rear Window. Film school? My late wife had a master's in film from Northwestern (irony?). She had a 23 year script writing career. I have watched over 1000 feature films in the past 60 years. I just bought my first video camera last weekend. Thanks for letting me get to know you a little better.

  • I'm a sucker for psycho and the birds...but I love all Hitchcock films. Yeh, film school, didn't follow through with it, but thinking about returning, went into special effects but if I return I think I may change to a different focus.

  • I think special effects have been greatly overrated to the detriment of good writing, good directing, good acting, good cinematography, good editing, etc. I suspect a different focus would be good for you in more ways than one. (Don't ask me why I just said that, obviously I don't know you: Intuition or something.) Anyway what were you thinking about as a new focus?

  • Editing I suppose, I enjoy it much more than I had ever imagined I would, something that kind of "speaks to me"

  • That sounds really good. The editing of what you have posted so far is superb. Maybe I should ship you my raw footage and let you edit it. ;) First, of course, I've gotta shoot it. :( Seriously, though, I think editing is the pivotal, and most creative, task in the process of film production. The quality of the editing makes or breaks the film no matter how good the other components.

  • yeh, editing is like the backbone, if there's not good enough footage, the editor has more on their plate, if the angles are wrong, editor gets shit, that's just if the editor is actually good, if not and everything else is perfect...still could flop. So many components that have to converge it's almost insanity.

  • Sounds like you have had some difficult editing jobs. I look forward to your next video. Hope it won't be too long before you get it up.
