  • What a great band these were, and you hardly ever here them played on the radio?loved this and storm in a teacup .

  • Stumiller, thanks for the reply , i will see if i can trace his sister in Asford Kent and she might have Dickies (Glen Dale) phone number.

  • @MrRennie46 I believe Jean does not live down in Asford / Canterbury anymore? Sorry to here last year that Glen (Richard) had to have a leg removed? Hope he is ok?

  • Live as well....just fantastic

  • The start is not timed properly. It was down to a live performance with the group and the Palladium orchestra. Who I wonder was at fault? mostt likely the theatre orchestra not knowning/learning the tune?

  • @saveyourkisses4me its the conductors fault

  • is it just me or is the start completely muddled?

  • Wow. The original lineup. They had a really distinctive harmony sound.

  • Only two of the original group are still alive. They had great songs. "Rainy Day Feeling" is simply a classic.

  • I believe Andy Brown and Glen Dale?

  • @saveyourkisses4me You are right! Shel Macrae joined them after 1966 and is still around but wasn't one of the originals.

  • @stumiller My uncle is 1 of them. He is Glen Dale, the guitarist on the right

  • @mickmorgan67 does he still have his guitars?

  • @spacepatrolman sadly no. He lost them.....although how u lose a vintage gibson is beyond me!

  • @mickmorgan67 where they stolen when something is stolen from somebody it always belongs to the person it was stolen from by numerous court descions james galway had 2 white gold flutes stolen from him in a train station each worth $20,000

  • @spacepatrolman No, he just lost them. he doesn't remember where or when.

  • @mickmorgan67 thats too bad when musicians go on the road things get hectic

  • @stumiller One of those still alive is Glen Dale or Richard Garforth as i knew him. We were old mates from Ashford Kent and a month ago my wife was informed that he had had to have a leg amputated. I wonder if you could confirm this or indeed have a contact for him as we would like to send him our best wishes. Geoff and Ann Reynolds (Nee Wraight) Thankyou.

  • @MrRennie46 I believe Richard now lives in Sheffield. I don't have a specific contact for him but perhaps you can find a phone number for him in Sheffield. I think his wife's name is Eleanor but I could be wrong.

  • i hope the boys look at this with pride.. they should! this is a flawless performance!

  • Brum beat at its best................

  • Was just before my time, but one of my favourite 60's hits.

  • superb song and performance, real quality live

  • Boy oh boy,, those were the days !!!

  • FANTASTIC !! What a Great find ! The Fortunes were one of Britains best sixties pop bands. The high quality of their DECCA singles, albums, B-sides, EP's etc speak for themselves. Thanks for uploading ! G

  • Such a fantastic song. Thanks so much for posting.

  • Andy is so cool!!!

  • @TNKMark1 they sound heavier live same thing with soft rock groups like the association bread seals and crofts

  • @spacepatrolman it was unclear in the us that rod was the lead singer because you couldnt tell from their album covers and dj norm n. night said glen dale was the leader of the group [maybe as far as guitar solos or business decisions ] .
