  • I'm 22 years old now. After 12 years, I still get goosebumbs at this song... *-*

  • So many feels.

  • this is epic!

  • Oddessa ......

  • this song made me cry so bad because i remembered those moments i used to play this GREAT RPG and all the good times of my childhood :(

  • One of my favorite Suikoden songs.. talk about a beautiful melody.

Join my facebook group: "Video Game Music Fans"

    /groups/142677562515024/

  • I hear this song and remember the time I played the game. And now ... now I'm crying!! It's so beautiful!!! :')

  • this one wants to make me loner someday!

  • this must be play by teenagers of america before playing COD, this game really rocks!

  • 0 dislike. this is gold.

  • The fullmoon from the prison window...good time.

  • this song makes me sad cause evrytime you hear this someones going to die

  • i remembered i walked around in my castle for few hours do nth.. miss those innocent time i had wit my bro : ( life's getting tougher and tougher..

  • know what? i still keep my PS 1, and Suikoden 2 CD as well, i will never neglect the most favourite game that i ever played. .:D

  • @HazelnutLattee dont its the rarest ps1 game!

  • love this music it always reminds me that whenever this music is played an important character will die in suikoden LOL seriously this is my most favorite song in the suikoden series

  • CLASSIC :')

  • This was the best sprite-based (not polygon 3d stuff) RPG. I consider this the end of the bit wars / console wars. Squaresoft taking Final Fantasy VII helped Sony PS1 pull ahead of N64. Nintendo had crushed Sega at that point. With Sony's boost from FF7, this was the nail in the coffin.

  • I have finished this game so many times, and I just can't get enough of it! There are times in the game which sucks balls, for instance when your wallet is being stolen and you have to retrieve it but 90% of this game is pure and utter pleasure.

  • @Hencytjo Ah... Yeah, that's a classic. You get into a new town, find rare finds but have 0 potch. Actually, that part is also fun. It gives a realistic feel that "These characters are alive, like it or not." and would really interact with the world they move in. Still, I am one of the lucky few who got to play this game even though I was 9 yrs. That was 7 years ago... Such a shame that this game is now rarely seen. A Gamer should at least play this game once.

  • man this is classic... i played to game more than 5 times already... and still love it... It's a classic masterpiece like beethoven and mozart...

  • games like these should be in the vault and re-release like they done with Disney movies no offense to anyone or at least have em on sale as a disc or as a DLC like they did with the 1st on the PSN.

  • This is the sound that im searching for long time ago after i finish suikoden 5 ~ best theme of suikoden For me . . . . . i miss . . .Suikoden 2 , 5 , also RO etc..

  • :') ~*so emotional...

  • FINALLY!theme song that ive been looking for

  • i have this music on my phone and i use this every night as a lullaby until my phone's battery is empty. very peaceful music. reminds me of my suikoden years. those were the days when i keep on staying late at night just to level up every character in the game. hehe. my favorite is shiro. i love using double beat as his rune. devastating critical hits. fuck i miss having this on my psp. my fucking friend deleted this game just to put porn videos in my psp without me knowing.

  • if this game was remade with better graphics, all of the shallow gamers today might give this a try and see the pure genius in all aspects of this game... best game I've ever played...

  • wow this game was just so amazing and some some of the most beautiful music iv ever heard such a good game :')

  • Everything on the game was perfect...too bad it was overlooked by people. i just wish everyone will give this game a try so that konami will try to produce suikoden 6 any sooner

  • I didn't know that this song has so many variations in it. The awesomeness of this song just got ten times bigger.

  • I never beat this game. DAMN YOU ROCK PAPER SCISSORS PART OF THE GAME.

  • Did anybody know that suikoden was adapted from the chinesse novel classic: Shui Hu Zhuan, 108 warrior aside of river...

  • @Bennysusanto1 I never knew that mate. Damn really?

  • @JiuClaw22 Ya rly. Though the story is way different since the original has such a sad ending. That's IMO though. But yes, they did take the 108 stars of destiny who overthrows a kingdom plot from the novel.

  • Comment removed

  • @JiuClaw22 Its one of the most chinesse popular classic novel other than Three Kingdoms, Journey to the West, and the other one is Red pavillion I think.....Shui Hu Zhuan is a great novel, you all should read it.....my favorite story in Shui Hu Zhuan is Lin Chong the leopard.....

  • @Bennysusanto1

i am a chinese,i hear some poeple translate the book name as “the story of 105 man and 3 woman"...

    this is \%#%$^#@

  • @lokecx 3 woman? half the 112(yeah 112, some stars are replaceable) stars of destiny are women... valeria, nina, viki, rulodia, nanami, anita, kasumi, tengaar, sierra, lorelai, oulan, maria( if you cant remember her, she is part of the musical group with alberto and pico, main singer), taki, and the list goes on and on...(ok, my memory is a little foggy, cannot remember half of the 112 chars), i just love this game and i'll keep playing it (restarted it some time ago to finish suikoden I)

  • @Bennysusanto1 REALLY loosely though.

  • I agree! Graphics were pretty amazing if you asked me! haha the setting, the artwork, the music all of them had a perfect combination to get anyone immered into such an awesome plot!

  • Suikoden: 5 STAR! It brought out so many powerful and positive human emotions in the series, the undying power of love, the unbreakable bonds between friends, the uniting of people reguardless of social class and background, hope against impossible odds, and the courage to never give up! The beauty is that the stars of destiny fought only because they "had" to unlike many games today. Suikoden is a lesson to us all in that during times of crisis there will always arise heros!

  • this better than a rock a baby song this song will make me sleep comfortable :)

  • This beautiful song make me crying! Something awesome...

  • damn, i can't hold my tears :(

  • I didn't get to play Suikoden II until recently... and when I heard this it was all I could do to not cry. It was in the first game too, and I adored the holy hell out of that game when I was but a wee lad.

  • Do you know why Suikoden story is very touching?

Because the story is taken from classic Chinese novel that popular since the war of dynasty era. In english we say Water margin. actually there is no Rune in the novel, but game make it perfect. but the number of 108 is real, match with the novel.

  • "SAYONARA FRIEND" T_T

  • Best and most memorable game of all the suikoden series... god this takes me back... T^T

  • BEAUTY ^_^ pagaling ka ahhh ayaw ka naming mawala............

  • dang it, this soundtrack just kicked the tears outta my eyes.

  • The greatest period of gaming i think now has gone the nineties where the golden period with the exception of the odd few today it seems to be style over substance or how to get the most money out of a game the best example of this is the last 3 ff games really poor i dont think there is gonna be another great rpg gaming series like this or ff and prehaps grandia to a lesser extent.

  • @TheBazman111 The time when storylines actually mattered is gone, and we have to face it. Every game today - every last one of them - is made to look pretty. That, unfortunately, is it. We can try to find great RPGs out there - and there ARE good, modern RPGs. Tales of Vesperia, Eternal Sonata, Suikoden Tierkreis, the Shin Megami Tensei series... they're all beautiful handcrafted to make you feel emotions you rarely do in REAL life.

But besides a remaining few, video-game emotion is dead.

  • this was the greatest game i ever played and i was like 11. that sucks

  • 3:47 : UNGH THE CODA <3

  • Let's wait for Jowy near the gate... he'll definitely come back. I'm sure of it...

  • @SangiNET Fuck dude. That gave me a rush of nostalgia. You just earned some thumbs up.

Hurray for Suikoden. Perfect example of a game made with love, for loving.

  • @MemoriesOfRiku Right on, man. :) Let's wait for Jowy together.

  • all games now are violent, have sexual contents, verbal abuse,..idk just too much.ill rather play this game! forever the best!!

  • @grez14 GTA?

  • i would always like it the way it is... i hope they don't make a remake... just the way it is, is still great

  • yah.. Suikoden is one of the best.. This is my all time favorite RPG coz of the very good story lines..

  • i'll enjoy this musica 4ever

when i'm sad or happy i play it in my harmonica and everything turns better

    =D

  • yeah i do remember those days...and c'mon Konami.Give us more Suikoden!!

  • @ByakugenHyugaHinata YEAH THIS TYPE OF GAMES SHOULD LIVE AND CONTINUE

  • This song always reminds me that there was a time when graphics weren't everything. Now the music and storyline in most games is completely forgettable. It's sad, really. I wish we could go back to when people wanted storyline in games. Anybody else remember that time?

  • yeah, that sux but i think the only new game with a good storyline is well suikoden tierkreis and san andreas ,yeah that time there was ff7 ff9 vandal hearts ,u know thats whats makes psone the best console, all those rpg man where great, star ocean i forgot

  • @Zyoracthebrave for sure, I actually prefer pixel art to 3d models, no doubt about it, it has a far more artistic feel to it instead of trying as hard as you can to imitate reality and I feel that's lost more than the story lines and music is these days

    Love this game :')

  • @Zyoracthebrave yeah man late 80s to late 90s m8y good times=suikoden 1 and 2 grandia, sonic the hedgehog on megadrive LOL

  • @Zyoracthebrave

You´re so right! The suikoden series and althought the final fantasy series, when the origanally creator of this empirial gameseries had made it. wow°!

today there is not often a game - where you can see the love and souls from the creators for characters, songs or the story - all they bring to perfection is the graphik.it looks grate, but it´s all the same.somehow.

  • @Zyoracthebrave

I do, I remember that time. I totally agree with you :)

And This game is one of the best of it's time.

  • Amen!

  • @Zyoracthebrave I remember... This game and this series in particular were amazing for story, Xenogears, Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Trigger, the OLD SCHOOL FF's.. I mean I miss all of it because those games were more about the consumer interests of making them happy and fulfilled instead of slapping a title on the game and calling it part of the series like take for example Final Fantasy 13 wtf? I mean some liked it but games like that are just a run through of bull..

  • @Zyoracthebrave Yes,some people deserve only amazing graphics,technology,wireless,blu-ray ecc.But where is the soul,i ask,where is the soul?

  • @Akshabad

Most modern gamers don't care about soul. The "soul" in modern games is the character getting sentimental for a fraction of a second, before dying. That's not soul.

  • @Zyoracthebrave So called "reviewers" and "critics" don't appreciate an interesting story and the emotions in games. But truly, I can't blame anybody because not only video games but todays songs, music, films sometimes even people and relationships are hollow compared to those times. So I ask myself whether I'm turning into a geezer or is everything else losing it's taste, it's essence while looking all garish.

  • @Zyoracthebrave Wow, I've never ever read a comment like that before but it is so true. This game really does prove that great graphics isn't everything. The storyline and music alone makes it a GREAT game. Cheers !

  • @Zyoracthebrave I would like it if we had games that was an equal amount of story, music, and graphics (in that order).

  • @Zyoracthebrave ur not alone.. those times where epic and very classic the core of our childhood memories

  • @Zyoracthebrave hahahah nope graphics always were everything you nostalgia-blinded idiot.

  • @CrackaStoleMyBoat

So, graphics were everything back on the NES? You, sir, fail as a troll.

  • @Zyoracthebrave so you believe the reason nes games looked the way they did wasn't because it was the best technology could do at the time but rather because of deliberate choice? wow you're quite dumb.

seriously moron back in the day the nes graphics were hot shit and everyone thought it looked awesome, but then again idiots like you don't consider things graphically impressive unless they're brown and covered in bloom.

  • play demons souls you pussies

  • @Zyoracthebrave if i could like your comment 1million times i would .love this game to bad i scratched my disk =(

  • @Zyoracthebrave i feel bad for the new gamers, most of them will never play a game like this, but to us this was our childhood

  • @jaroposkok Thats why I'm keeping this game so my son can enjoy it when he's older. I have all of the suikoden games because I believe the views and morals in those games are what kids need to see and do in real life. Our society has corrupted this generation and have forgotten that children are children and should always be allowed to remain children, until they become an adult they should be shown love, care and wisdom.

  • @snotcat They still need it, even when they are "adults". Some just more or less than others, but at some point we all do.

  • @Zyoracthebrave Totally agree.

  • @Zyoracthebrave That's why I'm gonna become a game designer. I'll bring that time back, no matter what. This world where we live in, is not what I wished it would be... so... I must create thousands of perfect worlds.

  • @FenrilEXE I got the same dream as you! let's work for this! :D

  • @FenrilEXE I love you :3

  • @Zyoracthebrave ç_ç great time really!!

  • man im fucking crying................:(

  • Soulful music

  • i get it... i know what the creators are planning... theire somehow making this game last forever..... y'know?? i mean.... think about it... adults liking this game? teenagers? and some of the new generation of humans..... AGE..... its all age..... i mean... the characters of the story are getting old too...... think about it guyss..... its like..... this game would last forever for 1000 years o.o

  • but... like jowy said.. nothing lasts forever... you will meet alot of ppl when u grow.. u will lose alot of people too..... *crys*

    whyyyyyyy1?!?!?!?!

  • wow... i rly wish suikoden would last forever..... but i guess thats impossible now.... >.> it would suck if there was a suikoden 213.. .that would mean all those star characters would look like old ladies D: and suikoden would fail that way T-T why the hell am i crying!??!?

  • So damn nostalgic

  • This is one of my favorite music from suikoden series

  • i feel high listening to this shit

  • its just the best game...

and the sound tracks are fucking awesome

  • I love this song the most, out of all the Suikoden music. I think the older music was better than the newer, but I'm an old fashioned fan of the series, I guess you could say.

Anyways, this song is really pretty, nice and relaxing to the ears~

  • Old fashioned fan of the series? Older music? This is only the second game. Lol

  • These kids today growing up on their call of duty dont appreciate games like this its sad

  • I agree with you Kyros85. It seems rare these days to to find a well made, well rounded game :(

  • While I wish kids nowadays were more into games like Suikoden I have to disagree with you regarding your comments that its hard to find a well made well rounded game these days. I'm currently playing through Eternal Sonata on the PS3 and I'm completely sucked in by it. I love it!

  • well in the suikoden games the side chars get older too D:

  • @Kyros85 yup i agree, ive seen games come along way since the megadrive days but this game rules

  • @Kyros85

    I agree, it is sad.

  • @Kyros85

Hell yeah. I know whatchu mean man.

  • @Kyros85 You ever heard of someone crying about a great head shot in C.O.D., no. But ive cried my ass off over some great rpgs.....

  • @watcherofthings

I heard of somebody crying after a great head shot in CoD. It was a twelve year old with a really high kill streak.

  • @Kyros85

cod ftl, i got this game for my ds and it was awesome

cod is only cool for nazi zombies imo :D

  • @Kyros85 i agree m8y suikoden 2 music is the best

  • @Kyros85 Mostly. Don't expect EVERYONE who plays call of duty to not appreciate suikoden.

  • @Kyros85 I agree.

  • @Kyros85 you're right. but its also some game industries fault for only making online multiplayer games nowdays. where are all the good modern rpgs at!? its rare. most of the only good rpgs ever aren't modern. :\ they're in (Mid PlayStation - Early PS2) Era

  • @itagthewind play demons souls you pussy

  • Comment removed

  • @CrackaStoleMyBoat imma give you a thumbs up just so you feel better about yourself.

  • @itagthewind thx bro call me i know some girls who love to fuck gamers and i can hook you up with one of them

  • @CrackaStoleMyBoat no thanks. have fun with that though.

  • @Kyros85 I agree...Too bad they dont get to watch nina and flik's romantic moment on top of the castle with this on the background, nor rescue and meet joey at the cliff where they first made a pact to each other, nor see Muse and Greenhill get liberated by the rebellion and Defeat neclord! oh those were the days...

  • ahh. so relaxing^^

  • It's always nice to find a song to relax and think about all the happy memories you used to have. Then you realise you were much happier being young than growing up. You were stupid but there was joy in being ignorant of the world.. Sigh...

  • The obvious solution to that is to demote your adult mind to an advisory position and let the inner child run the place :D

  • :') This game has a lot of impact on its storyline and its music..unf0rgettable. I really wish people would someh0w appreciate this game.

  • I think more people would if Konami got their act together and re-released this game on PS3/PSP. I bought Suikoden over again digitally in the hopes that they'd re-release Suikoden II, but I guess they're just not interested.

  • im playing this game for a millionth time! im at the muse part wer riou joey nanami and pilika got caught.. BEST GAME I'VE PLAYED, first time i've played and nanami died i cried haha! then i learned she can not die..worth playing over and over, suikoden 1 and suikoden 2!

  • I stand corrected :L 'm sure it was on four though..

  • The scenes that this song played during would have been nothing short of overblown, pretentious melodrama if any other game had done them.

But Suikoden just had this kind of...perfect honesty to it, and the song just capped that off. Not a lot of games could hit you like that.

  • ya it wasn't just a romance song, it was played when the characters thoughts were troubled the night before something big would happen, or when they were dieing and taking their last breaths.

It was almost exactly as detailed as if you were reading it from your favorite novel.

  • thx for sharing, really brought up alot of memories...

  • hahas nice theme.. so peaceful ^^

i have only tried Series 2 and 5. Cant seem to find the rest. Does anyone have any idea where to get the other games in Singapore? o.0 <3 frey

  • Not sure where to get 1 or 3. I'd advise against looking for 4 altogether.

  • number four was good. Sure, the story pales in comparison to 2 and 1, the random encounters get tedious, and most of the music is forgettable, as well as that there are too few dungeons. Other than all that, you actually have a pretty dang fun experience. I liked four. It's pretty sweet. Unlike 3...

  • @onehundred10million I have no idea why people hate Suikoden III so much. I guess the game was slow until you got the True Fire Rune. But by any means it wasn't a bad game. It actually furthered the plot and had Luc doing something interesting.

  • @TheWalrusface precisely because things are slow until you get the fire rune is why I hate 3. I mean, it's one thing to wait 5 game hours, three or even seven. But I had to wait TOO long to get the effin rune!!!! Ugh!!!

  • @onehundred10million Yeah things are slow and that's why I have no interest in replaying it. But just because it's slow doesn't make it bad. I think for a first playthrough when you don't know what the fuck Lucs group is up too the game is fine. But for a second or third playthrough..Nah.

  • @dramaindulgence e bay but you will have to pay through the nose for a copy they become very collectibale suikoden 1 and 2

  • hey do you think you can turn this into a midi file and send it to me please? thanks in advance! :]

  • This theme has been on EVERY Suikoden until now, and I LOVE it.

For a huge fan of Suikoden like me (I have beaten Suiko1 to 5 with all stars of destiny on each) this songs brings so many precious memories...so many stories, so many characters, so many dreams......Suikoden's world and lore is one of the fullest and richest experiences in vgaming.

  • Wait scratch that...Im not entirely sure if it was on 3 and 4....but it still my favorite Suikoden theme of all times!

  • It was on four, you hear it in the castle at some point with Zerase around, I think

  • ....Okay but...Zerase was not on Suikoden 4...she was on 5...

  • really the same feeling....let`s pray for the 6th lool

  • this song... really has that hook.. and when it grabs you.. well its impossible to forget it.. that goes along with the game too.. This song makes the game more worthwhile to play.. haha.. ^^

    5/5 and well Faved ~ <3

  • My very favorite song..

  • This theme was in Sukoden 1 as well wasn't it? brings back memories. Thanks!

  • Haha suikoden 5 also

  • wanpo palakas ka !!!! thx

    lord

  • wanpo !!!! I remember you

  • first time I heard this lovely song was when nanami, riou and jowy were in the prison at the greenhill city (if i'm not mistaken)..

this is one of my fav song from suikoden 2 ^^

  • i think it was not greenhill. it was muse prison.

  • oh yeah.. it was muse

    thanks for d correction

  • i love this song so much.good old memoris come back and i play this game over 20 times and every time is better then the last.this game is the best game i ever played.

  • i love the lonely Song.......... Great

  • Once you get Annalee I used to play this over and over

  • this remind me back about suikoden 2.... arrghhh..! i guess want to play it again...lol..

  • memories....... it's kinda flashing back whenever i hear this song.... i'll never forget all of the Suikoden Series.

  • Suiko V's Moonlit Theme was darn awesome. :))

  • i played this game hundreds time but it's never getting old!!!

  • "Riou . . .

    Me. . . You, Nanami, we've been

through so much since we left Kyaro

    huh?"

  • The tune really gives my an image of a small ship lone in the sea at night with full moon.
